I’ve been watching videos of Hawaii and insomnia miss my heart is there I feel like this is where my ancestors came from.Thank you before COVID .... I hope it returns back
Hubby and I are gong to Hawaii for our first time ever. We’re having a hard time booking here at Moana Surfrider vs. Royal Hawaiian…..I mean is Royal Hawaiian worth the extra $$? Appreciate everyone’s input!
Maybe. but It depends on what you want. Moana is livelier, busier, and seems to have more people coming through it, because it sits right on the main street that runs in front of it. It has no gardens or grounds around it, but is really close to the beach. That makes it just a little more convenient to walk around outside, and to shops. But it might feel a little noisier. Some people might actually prefer that closeness and convenience. The Royal Hawaiian has much bigger gardens and grounds around it, and feels quieter. It feels like it has its own space, and is a little bit of a walk from the shops and noise of Waikiki. Personally, I prefer the Royal Hawaiian.
@@darronstravel7174 Darron, thank you so much for the advice! The verdict: we booked The Royal Hawaiian 🌺 and cannot wait!!!!! (My heart was set on RH)
It's not worth either. Both have TINY rooms. Stay at the Outrigger Beachcomber instead. Waaaay better value. Save your money for a breakfast buffet at Dukes - better view than this rip-off.
They destroyed the openness of the lobby with those horrid overly high back sofas in the lobby that block your view of the seating. And the beige yellow was so strange. Please back to the open air comfortable blues of the past instead of the chintzy faded green carpet with banana leaf design and the 5 foot closed off high back yellow beige sofas. This hotel needs a make over and fast.
Do you think the elevator in the lobby that blocks the view to the beach was there when the hotel was first built? It seems like it could have been completely open when it was built.
@@canyonoverlook9937 yes that was there from the original design. I think the rest of the lobby Is so poorly designed that one’s eye goes to other things like an elevator.

This definitely brings back pleasant memories of my trip to Hawaii. Had my last meal in Hawaii at this restaurant before I left for the airport.
Looks good food on minute 7 😁
