Crazy idea: Raffle Victor’s V2 on your website to help Victor level up to the V3 - his current bike finds a new home while a new one rolls into his life! Win win for everyone.
The best update of all is that the rocker link is now ONE piece and not TWO. We have a Sentinel V2 with a blown shock (rebound failure - Fox Float X) that did not see much hard riding, and we are suspicious that side loading on the shock from unbalanced loads from the two-piece rocker may have caused this.
Awesome! Seems more like a V2.5. The tun-ability seems like the biggest upgrade. I bought a Megneg, and it makes my V2 more sporty and have been running it for a while.
The updated head tube angle on the V3 has me thinking again about throwing an angle set on my V2 to bring it just a tad bit steeper in the front. Like Victor, I was originally leaning towards the smuggler, but there wasn’t an alloy GX build for it and there was for the Sentinel, which was way better than the Alloy NX option. I wonder if it will make it just a tad quicker to turn on mellower/tighter trails…
I had the V1 and currently the V2...in my opinion the V1 was AMAZING because of that 64° HA, that bike left me with some amazing memories, not to say that the V2 sucks but I don't know, i feel like it was better idk why...and i think you definitely corrected the only weekness of the V1 with the cascade...
The Patrol is a great bike and we have several employees at the shop who ride them. If you want a MX dedicated bike the Patrol is the bike to get from TR's line up
Very similar bikes. Ripmo 3 is maybe a bit more "flicky" because of its shorter chain stays. You won't go wrong with either bike. Maybe we'll have to do a Ripmo VS Sentinel shoot out in the future!
New Sentinel vs. Ripmo vs. Ripmo AF? Especially for chunky rocky & rooty rolling trails (vs winch & plunge), with the occasional park day? (Current RAF owner getting the itch…)
You are looking at 3 very similar bikes. They all have similar travel numbers and geometry's. All of them are well suited for rocky/rooty/rolling trails. If you are a fan of your current Rimpo AF and want a similar ride, but looking to upgrade to the latest and greatest and carbon go with the new Ripmo 3, if you are interested in something new the Sentinel is a great option too. The Ripmo 3 has shorter chainstays so it may feel a little more "flicky" where as the Sentinel will probably feel more planted and stable. The good news is you aren't going to go wrong with either bike
Thats an older Smith Forefront. That graphic is no longer available, but the current Forfront does have some other color options. www.fanatikbike.com/products/smith-forefront-2-mips-helmet
I had the best time of my life riding a demo V2 alloy. I'm afraid the V3 won't give me that agressive-can-shred-it-all type of downhill ride. I thought the V2 was quite a great climber already for how capable it was on the descent. Should I stick with buying a V2 (there are still some available out there) or rather have faith in the V3?
If you are looking for "aggressive-shred-it-all" type of bike you might want to look at the Spire over the Sentinel. Sentinel is squarly in what we would call "all-mountain" category. Good climber/good descender, you want to be out on it all day. If DH performance is your top priority then you maybe more well suited for an aggressive enduro bike like the Spire. If you loved the V2, but also want in frame storage and slightly refined geo the V3 is your move. If you are looking for a deal V2 is the move.
@@FanatikBikeCo Thank you so much for responding :) I'm afraid of the Spire's climbing abilities to be honest ;) My main concern is whether I'll be as satisfied with the descending abilities of the Sentinel V3 as I was with the V2's so that I can better orientate my purchase (V2 or V3).
@@LisanneGaivin-k2t I own a v2 and it is the best cornering bike I've ever ridden. It's equally as fun on a double black and a green. I think youll be happy with the v2, and then spending the extra money on some more gucci parts as the parts break down.
The dates on model years make no sense ha ha. It is released in 2024 so why would you call it a 2025 bike? It is the newest and latest model. Released in 2024, but I guess you can call it the 2025 bike if you want!
Our vendor agreement with TR is full custom builds only at this time. So we can't sell you just a frame, but we can certainly help you build up a killer custom build!
Seems a lot of the positives / negatives to the V2 I.e the new one feels better pumping than his. The new one has a better feeling pedalling platform etc. could be the vivid Vs the monarch

what if we raffle victor himself?
How much do you think Victor would fetch on the open market?
@@FanatikBikeCo used market is pretty rough right now for older models like him, and his geometry is pretty outdated
You’d probably get more if you stripped him for parts.

Who knew Valtteri Bottas worked for Fanatik?
Needs something to do in his spare time...

some nice pasties will fit in there a treat I reckon
Semi-size specific chainstays that come in 2 lengths for 5 different sizes? 🤔
great video, thanks for posting.....not sure I will replace my v1 with a cascade link though.

I'm still rocking the v1 also. I have the cc link it's a game changer
why does no one talks about "Patrol".
Is it not that good as other bikes in transition line up?

Which wheels has Victor in his bike?
On his current Sentinel he is running We Are One Triads laced to i9 Hydras!
@@FanatikBikeCo looking into this 👍 thanks
They should mention that on this V3 you can run maximum 2.4 rear tire, which is not ideal IMO.

I miss Logan and Dan
I'm kinda bummed about this. They kinda smugglered this one. Sentinel v2 was perfect as it was.
It sure was
2024 Sentinel nx or rhe 2023 ibis ripmo slx. Overall better bike, best bang for the $. Sentinel is roughly 400 more
What's up with Dan?🫡😯🎉
