I agree it was a very good way to promote while another comeback is coming, they also used it as a promo for their online concert, personally I love the song, since Oneus despite having serious songs, the personality of the boys is soft and warm and this video allowed us to see them in their natural state a bit, hahaha.

I love ONEUS' dark concepts, but this 'happy' one fits them so well, since they are really a bunch of crazy, happy guys. Also, I'm kind of getting fed up with all k-pop groups having a concept with a mysterious plot/theory/multiverse sh*t, so it's a breath of fresh air to see somethng like this being released.

@@sedra4632 def agree, he/she probably doesn't have enough knowledge about K-Pop yet. Before BTS, one group I could basically use as a great example would be EXO, which has a fictional concept from the very beginning. Groups don't do these types of concepts just because they're copying what BTS did, but it's also a very good way to differentiate them from other groups, increase potential interest, and create a good foundation for future albums/songs that'd root from their concept. Not every group becomes successful with this approach, but if done, produced, thought out, and marketed well, it can be successful.

I really loved this release and the members themselves said they were able to release some stress that way after that rather tough year. and it's honestly a shame they didn't promote it because it's one of the more gp friendly songs they have.
It has actually been played as background music during multiple shows like running man haha.

What I adore about Oneus the most is, besides their obvious talent, is that they are unique. For me, unique groups are what draw me in the most and if you put a Oneus song on then you will immediately know it's them
Oh my,, you're exactly me as tomoon. ONEUS is a unique boygroup with a unique song color, unique dance, and unique stage performance. It makes me like "i'm never feel bored to watch them in a whole day"

I do love BTS but I connect more with the members than their music, but love yourself era was incredible. Groups like Victon, Monsta x and NCT I love as well... There's too many 😂😂😂
I was susprised you didn't like it much, since it reminded me of some songs seventeen and btob did, and I know how much you love those groups. but of course you don't have to love everything you react to!
personally, I didn't expect to like it, I'm usually not into retro concepts, and if I'm into it, it's more so emotional or epic ones, Sunmi's songs for example. but this song really took me by surprise first, with how different it is from oneus's usual style, then blew me away, I ended up loving it a lot!

Yeah, I think what you have to say about the "grand comebacks" vs. "fluffy singles" rings very true for ONEUS. Because, after they finished their "light" trilogy with "Lit", and before they joined Road to Kingdom, they put out "A Song Written Easily", which I believe was a single, and also wasn't necessarily as "grand" or ambitious as their previous title tracks. So this might be RBW's strategy for ONEUS already ;0
One could say, the "Oh, my stomach hurts! Oh, my stomach hurts!" Could very well apply to the double entendre, as a person's stomach can hurt from laughing too hard and long, as well as from needing to take a dump, also.
I love your reaction to this and the commentary on singles! I mean Oneus already kind of did the single genre swap with 'A Song Written Easily' though that one did still have the kind of epic sound with actual physical too, and promotions where Bbusyeo won't. It's still kind of nice to see Oneus having fun and releasing things that showcase their humor too!

Yayy another oneus reaction! honestly i like when groups experiment with concepts, since it shows how versatile they can actually be and even though bbusyeo is not my type of song either, i think oneus is definitely very versatile - and im very glad that they got to try a different concept, a bright one as dongju wanted :)

I'm really happy to stan them from the beginning. There are many 2019 rookie groups killing it now, but oneus is like my go-to serotonin group
it actually took me listening to the song a few times to remember that this is a new style for ONEUS, it's like this kind of song wasn't even surprising to hear from them to me lol
I find it v interesting that Babyz point to Feel So Good/Carnival and That's My Jam/PUT'EM UP as B.A.P's downfall when B.A.P had established a track record of breaking up the flow of their grittier concepts with more light hearted ones. It sounds new fans who don't know what they're talking about or existing fans who don't wanna talk about the actual cause of B.A.P's downfall.
Anyway, I quite like that ONEUS released BBUSYEO. I, personally, like these more fun and silly concepts on them, because it matches their group color better than the darker concepts. Not to say that they don't do the darker concepts well (because they rly do), but there's just something about songs like BBUSYEO and LIT that make me wanna pay attention to ONEUS. I feel like I'm watching ONEUS, the group, and not ONEUS, the brand; I'm watching ONEUS be themselves, rather than them putting on a concept.
It could also be because I'm sick of dark concepts in K-Pop, and want many of these groups to go back to the tehnicolor, boyfriend-esque aesthetic that was kinda/sorta making a comeback 2017-2019.
Who knows.

This song was debuted at their recent ontact along with another new song call Cold Leftovers, but that hasn't been released yet.
I like both of the two new songs, but Cold Leftover was my favorite out of the two. So sad that they haven't released it yet.

On the contrary Bbusyeo is the type of song that would do well with the korean general population. It was already played in 3 reality/variety shows (running man, the return of superman, and some other eating show idk about) even with non existent promotion. The first time I heard it, I was so surprised because it's so different from what Oneus usually does. I even like it better than some of their title tracks. I don't know, but there's something with Oneus and fun-type songs such as this one and Lit. I think their energy just matches the color of those songs. I'm actually looking forward to songs like this from them in the future.
Edit: Also.... not to be that person but,,, I'm actually getting tired of dark concepts since literally every single group does that these days. So it was such a pleasure hearing this type of song from them.

About the 💩 and stomachache lyrics I found out when I watched mv first time, Ravn so humorous 🤣Bbusseo is also a (promo) stage perf for their 1st online concert comes with another new song Cold Leftovers. Both songs and stages are relaxing, funny and cute. It's not a movie/theory/great depth song, but it is a great pop/retro song and choreography. It shows how oneus can do their best for different kind of music, yes keeps people from forgetting this group before their next comeback, gives audience lots of fun and comfort during the coming end of terrible year 2020. Also oneus members shows their acting and also relieved stress while shooting this mv since they had to broke everything🤣

It's great to see the bright side of oneus from Bbusyeo and Airplane☀（esp b/c I accidentally got bone fracture before Dec... I cannot go anywhere but only stay home on my bed bearing pain and wait bones healing.. so this song and their 1st online concert really give me lots of comfort and energy 😭

A bit lacklustre reaction to the most fun and unique release of the year. If a top group released it everyone would be shitting themselves. It's just... top groups do not release such things because they are scared to do stuff that requires acting or them being different. ONEUS is one of very few groups that actually expands the borders of k-pop and moves the industry forward instead of doing same old shit all the time just because it sells. They are insane in all the right ways and with an immense charisma and an artistic performative talent second to none. People ignoring ONEUS for the sake of spectacularly mediocre big company groups is the source of disappointment for me.
I love Oneus for their epic music and climatic dances and MVs but I have to admit that they thrive when the song has more of a fun/festival side to it hence why Lit got so much attention. Lit is fun while it also keeps the epicness aspect. Also this sort of feel goes quite well with their personlity. It is such a shame that they won't even have a special stage for it, this screams general public taste.

I actually liked the song quite a lot, I think it is so interesting to see another side of ONEUS, I wouldn’t have expected it but it also fits them well.
I’m a ToMoon and I think that a lot of fans liked it, and it’s so nice to see the artists after a while and have a new song even if it’s not a comeback, so I agree with you that is a really good marketing strategy :), and now I’m looking forward to their next comeback

I remember when singles used to be more popular in B.A.P, VIXX, UKISS, BtoB, ect.'s era, & those were often regular comebacks. It's interesting to see them coming back in kind of a different way now.

Seems like Mamamoo has been following this strategy for awhile now: release a fun and goofy song as a preview and follow it up with a smashing album. It's definitely a smart strategy, and as a tomoon this is probably my favorite track of theirs so far!

one of the things i noticed is that many kfans complain about every boygroup going the hard and mysterious way right now, instead of the fun and colourful concepts, so oneus releasing something exactly the korean market wants right now is a really good move on their part. it was also part of promoting their online concerts + hwanwoongs phone in the mv shows “january 2021” so let’s see what happens next
I don't know exactly why, but I loved this song so much, I think it is great, even though it doesn't follow their usual theme. One of my favourite ONEUS songs.

Interesting perspective on the style switch/random single but that makes sense, and I didn't know that bit about what RAVN said, lol. I tend to prefer darker/harder song but the beat is so....catchy that every time I listen to it I want to bounce around so it's now my exercise song, lol.
Wow, I've never thought about marketing strategies and you are right. Bbusyeo was released in promotion to their last November concert because that was the concept of the concert, a party where they thanked the fandom for the support they received this year and it is a song that shows a lot the personality of the members.
Personally, I hope they continue the story of CBH and TBONT, because it was something very strong and they handle it very well.

I am so happy you talked about this song! It was so fun and different from their To Be Or Not To Be era and showed how versatile they are. January 2021 hint when Hwanwoong fainted, maybe another comeback? And yes every time Leedo sings. His duality! They had a lot of fun filming this, the behind the scenes was cute. Also the choreo only video....so much energy. I have become a fan of them and every song they put out.
