Meeting Filipino Indigenous Aeta Tribe - The First Philippine People

Take a closer look as we get to know the wonderful people of the Aeta Tribe in Bohol, Philippines. They're one of the earliest inhabitants of the Philippines that can date back to about 30,000 years ago. Unfortunately, along with other indigenous groups of the Philippines, they've had most of their land stolen or taken away. The Philippine government has efforts to reappropriate their rights, grants, and privileges of hunting and gathering from the land that was once theirs. However, the tribe is not allowed to profit from certain privileges. It breaks my heart to hear that from these wonderful people I've met; it's simply just not enough.
I am very deeply appreciative for their kindness and along with the land owner's permission, who granted us rights to allow us to film and capture their way of life. It was definitely a time to remember and we are forever grateful for their warm hospitality.
