      I am into diversified farming. Organic farming....sustainability.
      Vermicomposting. I'm interested to check out your aquaphonics. I'd like to have one, one day. I have spring water but with black outs I think d fish will die unless I have a generator and solar panels maybe.

    I've been thinking about what sort of things I could produce and export from the Philippines to the US, and I excluded anything coconut related because I thought that business would be totally efficient and locked down at this point. Preconceptions are usually totally wrong.
    Anyway, good luck! I'd love to see your progress first-hand when I get to the Philippines.

      I think with a growing GDP and US looking for alternative imports as an option from “other countries” in tension with the USA, Philippines is a great option to produce and export. (Even 🥥)

      @pursuitofcoconuts  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes, the southern part is where a few factories exist and friends order their products from. Most order coconut products as commodities and pay low prices. We’ve got to find ways to turn it into a popular product to gain the most benefit to all the supply chain.

    Just found your channel a few days ago. It's good to see someone actually trying to help. Bro, did you know about "Stingless Bee's" that's native on the islands? They are good coconut pollinators and some farmers actually utilizes them to increase coconut production. Not to mention the usual stuff that comes with bee's(honey, pollen, etc.)

    • @pursuitofcoconuts
      @pursuitofcoconuts  29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      I love it! I was a bit worried about how they harvest the honey and I do want to do a bee farm. I hope the rice pesticides aren’t effecting the bees🙏

    • @RD-kq3ml
      @RD-kq3ml 29 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @@pursuitofcoconuts As far as I know(don't 100% count on me on this)...it's not about th ehoney but polination itself. Coz unlike european honeybees they make a little,. But what they do/have is more expensive and healthier? Not really sure on this since I only keep europeans. But, I'm also keen atm on learning on them. Already have planted like 100+ dwarf coconuts a week ago for the bees in the future. Yes, pesticides are a big thing, just stay away from rice plantations and also from "tuba"(coconut wine), coz the way they harvest them, bees drowns on them.

    • @pursuitofcoconuts
      @pursuitofcoconuts  29 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @RD-kq3ml I’ve seen a Facebook group that focuses on stingless bees and sell its honey. Yes, rice fields and pesticides are awful for pollinators. I hope your coconuts do well. They will need attention the first year to make sure the beetles do not lay inside. 🏝️

    Can you conduct a ballistic test on the coconut peat? Most of the barrier used by the military is filled with sand. Can it be replaced with dense coconut peat or coconut peat mixed with sand? OR mix coconut peat with sand and cement to create a cheaper stronger cement products. The opportunity is endless.
