Both of these shirts are favorites in the garment decoration industry due to their superior fabrics, retail fits and affordable prices. The Bella+Canvas 3001C and the Next Level 3600 are both unisex tees that everyone seems to love. And we mean everyone! Clothing decorators, people purchasing for large groups and organizations, even the ShirtSpace staff! Ok. Let’s get into it.
First, sizing and fit. Like I already mentioned, these are both Unisex T-shirts that feature a more fashion forward or retail fit. They each have side seams to help achieve that fit.
The 3001C is available in sizes extra small all the way up to 5XL. The Next Level 3600 is available from size extra small to 4XL. So one slight difference there.
The Bella+Canvas 3001C is barely lighter at 4.2 oz. compared to the Next Level 3600’s 4.3 oz. weight. Comparable in quality and probably indistinguishable to the average person, someone dealing with t-shirts regularly might be able to tell the difference ever so slightly.
The 3001C is made from 100% airlume combed and ringspun cotton (except the ash color which is 1% polyester), whereas the 3600 is made from 100% combed ringspun fine cotton jersey (with the heathered gray being an exception of a 90% cotton and 10% polyester fabric).
When I compare the two, I feel like the The Next Level is just a little bit smoother and softer, but just by a hair. And keep in mind that’s my opinion. You might feel differently.
Because these t-shirts are both 100% cotton, they are top choices for all sorts of methods to customize clothing: screen printing, heat transfer vinyl, tie-dye and embroidery.
Let’s talk about some more things these shirts have in common. They are both pre-shrunk, have side seams like I mentioned. They also both have tear-away labels, and 1x1 baby rib-knit set-in collars.
One thing the Bella+Canvas 3001C has over the 3600 is that it comes in a much larger variety of colors, a whopping 60! The Next Level 3600 comes in at just above half that with 33 colors.
If you print on basic neutrals like black, white or gray- or primary colors like red, royal blue and kelly green- then there is likely an almost perfect match for you when you are in a pinch.

As someone who has been selling t-shirts via print on demand through my Shopify website for almost 2 years now, and has sampled quite a few t-shirts in that time, here is my take: If you can get one of the produced at a significantly lower price, then that's the one you should go for as they are both similar quality shirts. However, if you have access to either at a similar cost, then you should pick the next level 3600 if you are selling to more men than women as it is more fitted for a man's shoulders, but you should probably use the bella canvas 3001 if you are selling to a lot of women as I think it is closer to being a true unisex t-shirt than the next level 3600 is. I personally prefer the fit of the 3600, but both are good. HOWEVER, my favorite shirts by fare are the COMFORT COLORS t-shirts, which have by far superior quality in my opinion.

Loved both these since they are both rlly similar, until I did a gym test the Next Level 3600 collar folded and lost its hold.
Took Bella canvas 3001 to the gym twice same tee, and collar held.
Going with Bella canvas 3001 for my brand
Also LOVE the heavyweight version Bella canvas 3091 however they don’t have much stock on these

Another difference between Bella Canvas and the Next Level is that the NL 3600 is cut a bit longer than the BC. That's one thing I'd like to see changed with the NL 3600. I've had some specific comments about that from mostly women, who say the NL runs a bit long and a littler bigger than the BC. Another thing is the white tees. Out of the NL 3600, the BC 3001C, and the Gildan Softstyle tee, the NL is not as transparent. I personally don't like the white tees to be too see through. It makes the tee look cheap. The NL is the best out of the 3 for white tees, but I just don't like the length as much as the other two. Anyone else have thoughts on these points?

Why the Next Level 3600 over the 6210? The 6210 is 4.3oz and a bit cheaper than the 3600, where the Bella Canvas are cheaper still. I have some NL 3600 shirts and DT 104 Perfect weight tees and I love the feel of them, just wondering how minimal the differences are.
We went with the 3600 because we sell more and thought more customers would like to know how they compare. Would you like to see the Bella 3001C vs the NL 6210?

The 3001 is awful to me after it's been washed, the color fades and the material becomes rougher, and the fit stretches out or gets weird around the bottom I've washed at least 15-20 of these shirts and the outcome is the same every time. I'm looking for something better.

Yes. I believe the Next Level shirts are cut a bit longer than the Bella Canvas.
We have heard from our customers that the Next Level shirts are a bit longer compared to Bella+Canvas shirts.
