  • Coucou ! Here's a demo jam & settings shared of this preset I've made on the Zoom G3X, using one of the Marshall amp simulation (no idea if it does sound a bit like it though ahaha). If you like this short video format or if you don't, I'd love to know ! Here demoing it with the JET JS300. :)

    As ever, fantastic. Your timing is out of this world. Really nice tones too. I used to be snobby when it came to Zoom stuff (and digital gear in general) but I once had to use a G2 pedal straight into a P.A. and it sounded absolutely fantastic. Best and most consistent sound I'd ever had. Been a fully paid-up digital enthusiast ever since.

      Thank you ! Oh god my timing in this one is actually horrible ahaha, made me laugh I forgot to lower the buffer in my DAW before recording (for latency), and while playing this I was like "I can't play in time anymore or what ?" 😂😂 Ahhh you used the G2 !! Awesome, these were very cool back in the days ! And they sounded decent yeah, a friend of mine had one (I had the older version at the time, the 505II...and later a 8080 !). About digital I think it all comes down to mindset in a way, right ? I had times where I was using only digital especially for gigging, & times when I was just playing amps. But digital stuff (especially nowadays...) has evolved so much and is so well thought, so convenient...we're truly blessed ! Yeah Zoom has a reputation, not a great one...I guess for a reason. They made some cool units though definitely. What do you play now ? Line 6 ?

    How many maximum number of blocks can we assign in a single tone chain. ie g3xn gives 7 blocks . Confused between g3xn and g3x

    My 1st pedal was a zoom g3x. My second was zom MS70 CDR. Frankly these keep me busy enough to not wanting to buy more.

    thanks so much for posting this vid and showing all your settings! I’ve been fighting my strat for years through various amps and even the G3X, always putting it back in its case for an LP or Casino. But THIS sounds just KILLER and still yet very stratty.
    Oh and Dynamite playing Sir!!

      Hey Thomas ! Thank you ! Which Boss are you talking about here ? GT1 ? Hope you're well !

    • @b.j.thomas8606
      @b.j.thomas8606 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. GT-1 (only a few dollars more than the Zoom)

    • @JohanJoosLaur

      @@b.j.thomas8606 Okay ! I'd assume the Boss would sound better than my Zoom here, the G3(X) is from an older generation you know. I'd really recommend this Zoom if you need portable still having switching capabilites available and if you find one second hand for cheap. I paid mine 50€ but I often see them selling from 60 to 80 basically. If you don't care about being able to run on batteries and have a bit more money to buy something, yeah there most certainly are much better stuff out there...! Never tried the Boss GT1 but the one thing I know is that in general, I really don't like Boss multi effects for one reason : the menus/interface. I find it really not inspiring, but it's purely subjective of course , some love it ! :) All of these units anyway can sound great, the most important in my opinion is the interface. If you like the way it looks and the way it works, you'll find great tones. If you can't stand the interface...you'll quickly forget about the unit and won't play it aha ! It's how it seems to work for many players anyway !

      Thanks. $100 fr. GT-1 to Zoom G1. You have definitely found what you like and sounds good!
