amazing portrayal from Sam to bring JAMMF to life! No one else, and i mean NO ONE, could have done Diana's JAMMF justice, like Sam does! Protector of his character, Sam's talent shines bright! Happy birthday to both Sam and JAMMF! Yes, that is no coincidence! Sam is JAMMF!
I will be forever grateful that Diana Gabaldon shared this beautiful man & beautiful story with the world. I would have been tempted to keep him to myself. LOL

When my sister played Earthbound, she renamed the main characters after Outlander characters.
Ness was renamed Jamie after JAMMF.
Paula was renamed Clair(e) because Claire in it's entirety wouldn't fit.
Jeff was renamed Ian after either Elder Ian or Young Ian.
Poo was renamed Colum after Colum Mackenzie.
King was renamed Rollo after Young Ian's dog.
She made Jamie's favorite food "Cake" because she couldn't come up with any Outlander related food items that would fit.
She made Jamie's favorite thing "Love" because she again couldn't come up with anything Outlander related that would fit. But she felt like "Love" sort of fit with the theme naming.
She also nicknamed the villains after Outlander villains. She nicknamed Giygas "Black Jack" after Black Jack Randall because they are both utterly terrifying and she thinks that Giygas' dialogue sounds similar to things he would say while torturing Jamie. She also nicknamed Pokey Minch "Father Bain" after the priest who testified at Claire and Gellis's trial for witchcraft in the first book. She also nicknamed Master Belch "Laoghaire" after Laoghaire Mackenzie. She nicknamed the Mani Mani statue "Geillis" after Geillis Duncan. She also nicknamed Ness's Nightmare "The Return of Geillie" after her nickname for the Mani Mani Statue. She also told me that she imagined Ness speaking with a Scottish accent. She also told me that, occasionally, before fighting an enemy or multiple enemies or a Sanctuary Guardian, she would shout either "Creag an turie!" (Jamie McCrimmon's battle cry which roughly translates to "The Boar's Rock" in Scottish Gaelic.) or "Je Suis Prest" (The motto of Clan Fraser of Lovat, which translates to "I am ready" in French.)
When she was about to fight Giygas, she thought about the Gaelic prayer Jamie says before entering Abandawe to save Young Ian at the end of Voyager. Which in English is "St. Michael, defend us from demons."

Hi I’m just on season 1 episode 7 , I found him
So handsome but kinda weak in protecting Claire ,British uniform had a chance to rape her when him and Claire making out into the woods ,
Claire killed the man with the knife ,
This is the 4th time I found him weak . Thought Jamie is McKenzie , his uncle wanted Claire even she is married with Jamie . I wish he had a strong name and strong character , Jamie sister in the first episode I think , jack randall beaten Jamie and ask his sister to bed her . Again found him weak . There’s a lot of instance that I found him weak instead of manly that would protect Claire or maybe in the following season he will be of course , I just watch a little episodes . Love the series
I think you're the only one in the world who sees it that way. Jamie is strong and brave. He takes a lot of pain and danger upon himself because of Claire, who keeps getting into trouble because of her behavior in the 17th century. Keep watching the series and I hope you will realize it.
Jamie took an Oath to always protect Claire, and has never shown any weakness throughout five seasons, the scene you mention with the British officers Jamie had a gun to his head and it was two against one, Claire protected herself with the knife in the way she had been taught by the clan members, when Jamie’s sister was attacked by B.J.R. Jamie was restrained by more than one British officer and then tied up and beaten, that is not being weak in my book! Jamie has rescued Claire from many perilous situations throughout the whole series of the Legend that is ‘Outlander’ maybe you mistake kindness and gentleness for weakness, but everyone’s perception of different situations may differ, this is just my opinion on one of the best t.v. series in decades, and Jamie’s character is one of strength and honour, like you mention you are in the early stages of the series, you have time yet to change your opinion! enjoy the rest of the series.

I did seen that he was raped , I felt devastated . I can’t go on, but this series made me excited to watch the first time I watched it . I will hopefully go on and watch the entire season,
You are welcome, I just think Sam Heughan is a phenomenal actor, who portrays Jamie Fraser to perfection, and he himself possesses many of his fictional characters admirable qualities, but then I was hooked from the word go six years ago, and never tire of re-watching the whole series, take care, and I hope you enjoy the rest of ‘Outlander’ 😊
