That iconic moment when Claire and Jamie first meet is electric! It sets the tone for the rest of their sensual and emotional relationship for the rest of Outlander thru the years! This is where it all begins to happen! I just love it and it really portends what is to come between these two! 💙🤍
Season 3 was also very good. The first 3 seasons were the best. I lost as much interest when they went to America and stayed knowing there was war coming. It was also a very violent and lawless time in America. Why would they want to stay when Jamie so loved Scotland.
Wonderful scenes great story. I love all the scenes, characters and episodes. I’ve seen them several times and enjoy them immensely each and every time I have watched them. I can’t get enough of this series.
I watch it on repeat recently. I find it the most soothing relaxing programme available to watch right now. I’ve enjoyed multiple shows of a similar genre but this one draws me in over and over. ❤
Everyone involved in casting deserves a people's choice award. Cait is Outlander's heart - and I think she brings out the best in Sam. Together their chemistry makes Outlander believable. From those earliest scenes in the forties to when she stops the lads from breaking Jamie's arm - Cait's Claire is in charge, she is as powerful and commanding as she is vulnerable and adorable. And, as the Redcoat commander said, "She sure knows how to order men about." And then, not long before Jamie takes her back to the stones, he knows that she's pregnant and it breaks your heart knowing they have to part. Claire's return to the 18th century, every step - from the carriage, down the Royal Mile to Carfax Close - look at her face! She's all nerves and excitement after 20 years apart from Jamie. Cait makes Claire real. The lighting and camera angle as she sees Jamie for the first time, from the second floor of the print shop. If feel her love and longing every time. I could go on and on. I know many people love the first two seasons, but there are wonderful scenes in every season. Like when Claire sees Brianna for the first time and drops her basket... And her rescue in the Never My Love episode - brilliantly directed - so vulnerable and nearly broken in the scene shown here. I look forward to the second half of season 7 and the final season 8.
@@lseward21Lionel Brown's brother and his posse came to arrest Claire, because they believed she had killed Lionel. I cringed with each bullet that hit that beautiful house they built.😩
I have been in love with Outlander since the first time I watched it. I have now watched as much as has been shown and can hardly wait until November 2024. I am now watching the series for the 11th time and I never tire of seeing Jamie and Claire's story. Jamie has brought to life the ideal man.....loving, caring, protective, thoughtful, kind beside being unbelievably good-looking with a body to die for. He has made Jamie real. Besides watching the series so many time I have read all 8 books. I think Sam is a great actor and extremely good looking but his portrayal of Jamie has me believing as I watch that this story is really happening and Jamie is a real person.
I don't think there'll ever be a tv series as good as this one. Everyone gave their best. A few slips with writers (Creme de Menthe🤮) when they wanted to put their own stamp on it rather than Diana's, but they redeemed themselves in many episodes that followed. So much talent all gathered together in one place.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
I have seen de series over and over again its always the most beautyfull and fantastic show i ever seen all the season's are beautyfull ❤❤❤ the hole cast is perfect i read the books 3 times perfect
Season One😢😢😢 I was so sick, then I found Outlander. Saved my life. I can't believe it's coming to an end. I geel sorry for myself but boy fo I feel for those actors. They've been together for ten years --more by now. There sre layers of relationships, the relationship between the actors and the relationship between the characters they play. Not going to be easy saying goodbye 😢😢😢 Sam was born to play Jamie. No one could have brought Jamie to life better than Sam. Or even close. No one. I wish him well. I hope he finds better projects than he has so far. He's better off saying no, than taking something unworthy of his talent. Caitriona has been more fortunate with her projects. But neither of them will ever find characters like these again, characters that match them so perfectly. At least we have a prequel coming so complete despair isn't upon us. I hope.
I began reading this when my son was born. My maternity leave was in this story. My son is now 26. I have read all of the books. It is a story I don’t want to end 😢
No kidding. I just cancelled Starz because of that and won't resubscribe until November. Then when season 7 is finished, I will cancel again and not resubscribe until season 8 starts. There's no use in subscribing when the rest of their content is meh at best.
Dont remember how i became aware of this story. But ive read🎉 every book at least 10 times. Ive seen small flaws. and mistakes, but ive never seen actors embody their roles better than here and. DOWNTON ABBEY. I CANT WAIT TO SEE ALL OF YELLOWSTONE.
Picky, picky picky. Even though I've read each book at least 10 times, there had to be a few changes for the series. I wasn't too happy about them, but. Some were important. Such as finding Murtagh alive after as ll those years. And his and Jocasta's affair. 😅😅😅
Has an avid book nerd, I only have one major complaint about the TV series. They made clear into a 21st century woman. Claire was in 1940s woman and an Army Nurse her understanding of social nuance and social behavior were much better than the 21st century version. I also believe they made Jamie look more like a New Jersey Thug then the educated Highlander of high status
Don't get me wrong, I adore this show, but not gonna lie- 33:35 where Claire accuses LJG of keeping William's parentage a secret.....pot calling the kettle black, Claire?? Always bothered me, that.
They were meant for each other no matter what law! I love this show soooo much but I can’t watch 6, 7, or 8. Why is Hulu not carrying it! I’m so distraught!
There are aspects of Claire's personality that I like... But there are aspects of Claire's character that I don't care for..... It's almost like she had a God complex trying to rewrite history.... And change the future..... And in turn it caused a lot of trouble for Jamie Frazier and his family...
A sufrido de todo cler una vida muy dura unos momentos felicespero la mayoria a sufridoadmirablelo q hizo para estudiar una carrera en una epoca q la mujer no se le permitia Esa debe aber sido horrible el machismo del hombre.
I’ve always found Jamie to be the more interesting character, in the books and in the pared down series. Claire always comes off as a bit neurotic, the white American woman type of neurotic, vaguely superior, complaining and uneasy. Jamie is a realist, a poet, and an adventurer. He has tons of charisma. Claire? Meh. The actors seem to me to do a good job of understanding the characters in the book and translating them to the series. I think the story should have ended when Jamie and Claire arrived in the new world, with all their future before them, and all our attention mostly on them. And for us to imagine the rest. The author’s endless addition of other characters and spin-off stories has gradually diluted the focus of the story til now for me, I have lost all interest. Diana, I know the money is good, but a real writer knows when to quit, out of love for their creation.
Jamie has the privilege to live in his own time. Put him into the 20th century and he would make a pathetic figure, in action and language. It is like trying to live in a very different culture. Try to do that. Then talk again.
@@pegapage9603 I have. My family sent me to live with a Mexican family when I had just turned 14. I was just learning Spanish at school and my parents thought this would be a great way to help me along. Boy was it ever. It was fantastic. I only once ran into another American briefly. I was forced to be completely immersed in a completely different language and way of life long gone now. The colonial town had cobbled streets, gas street lamps, and men who lit them at night and extinguished them at dawn. The family kept chickens in their roof. Fresh eggs daily. The family servant ground the masa and made the tortillas daily, humming all the time. Vendors selling milk came by mule drawn carts up and down the streets daily. My mamacita and her servant pasteurized it themselves. Another vendor came daily selling agua purificada. Nobody drank the water from the taps. You had to keep your mouth closed when showering. There was a special place you had to go if you wanted to make a long distance phone call. The family was very kind to me. They didn’t speak English at all, but by the time my 3 months there was over, I was felt I belonged and was even dreaming in Spanish. They took me to see the sights and visit their relatives in the hinterland. I went to summer school at the local university. In between classes I’d wander the beautiful old city on my own. I’d take local bus rides to the end of the line and back, with all the people chatting to each other and me, and laughing, and carrying their crates of chickens and bundles. Later I spent an entire year in Spain when Franco was still the dictator. I hitchhiked all over the country which was far from modernized. Very few Americans around. Both countries gave me the most enjoyable times of my life. Both were like stepping back in time from my very middle class suburban American life. I loved every minute. It was like floating on a dream. Living in a poem.
Claire is English not American and travelled the world with her archeologist uncle that gave her a great understanding of history, various places, people and customs. She's the most complex and interesting character in the series/books. Jamie without Claire is a big yawn.
Claire Fraser gets more annoying and pedantic as the seasons go on. Don’t know how she continues to stay relevant. I quit after book 4 or 5. Im checked out of the series as well. Season 1, 2, 3 - that’s about it for me
Claire married under her maiden name because her marriage to Frank hadn’t happened yet. They got married in the 1930s, she married Jamie in the 1740s, therefore Jamie is technically her first husband.
I love how Cait's voice breaks when she stops the lads from breaking Jamie's arm. LOVE THIS SHOW!

Bizarre when she shows Marsali the corpse. That was not in the book. Clare did do an autopsy at Jocasta’s on a slave who had died.
