@@rustedratchetgarage6788 but why would you put a hemi in it? The engine is basically two 1JZ welded together. Back in the early 2000s a company called top secret made a 900hp supra with that engine and it was amazingly reliable for the power level at that time. They took it to highways around the world till the owner was arrested in Britain for street racing
Pretty cool coincidence. We have noticed that when that happens, it can help a lot with views. We did an E46 M3 video the same day Demuro released one about the E46 and E39 and it did about 50% better than ours were averaging at that point.
These have been available as 2nd hand imports in NZ for 20+ years. Have seen excellent condition ones as low as $2,000. The prices have changed in the last couple of years!
may be 2000 on a boat but there are plenty of people who want it now who didn't know before, thanks Vinwiki for probably doubling the price and challenge of my finding dream car.
Hell yeah! DuPont REGISTRY has finally got a TH-cam channel to sponsor them. Hands down my favorite magazine, and has been since mid elementary school, and I'm 26. Let that sink in for a second.
I was recently in Japan and came across one of these parked waiting for someone at dinner. It was simply breathtaking for its paint was buffed better than his example. Even my wife was like, "what is that? That isn't a taxi is it?" The fact she could tell the classy-ness of this car compared to the million similar black taxis out there says something. Also, I want one hahha.
A friend and I were talking about the Century when the new one was announced. Crazy how they went with a V12, granted the only Japanese V12, just smoothness and comfort at 310HP, when a good ol' 2J would've sufficed.
Some years ago I was privileged to get up close to a Nissan "Presidential" it was used by the President of Nissan North America. it had curtains, TV. a big V8 dual exhaust, loved that car. According to the driver they crushed the car after use broke my heart. This was in the 80's
Hey! I did a cross country road trip from chicago to monterey car week last year as well! Granted, mine was only in my 05 Saabaru 9-2x, but it was absolutely incredible. Sounds like his trip was as well!
It looks older 1992 design, more like '85 car design for the type of car that it is. Maybe it was produced from 86 till 93, as I don't know the 1st production year. After i posted the comment, I thought why not check, since I don't know, and Wikipedia shows 2 generations, the 1st being 1967 till 1997, and the 2nd 1997 till October 2016. This is crazy, how thy kept the major design for so long, and the 2nd is also really old looking for the production year. This is really cool car, I have heard about Century, but never cared to check it out.
I saw this thing parked in front of the entrance to an event talking to some cops and immediately knew what it was and fanboy-ed so hard with my friend I was there with. Can't believe it's on vinwiki.
1:00 I remember Jeremy Clarkson did a piece on japan car culture and said that no yakuza member would be caught dead in other car than left side driver mercedes s500
Yet ANOTHER great story! Regular Car Reviews just did a review on one of these and stated that it is now his favorite car of all time, besting the Uber-designed Volkswagen Phaeton! That is no small feat, I'm sure! No doubt these will become more and more popular here in the States, especially considering its high car-to-dollar ratio! At least for now, anyway.
Imagine being vinwiki having someone tell a story about the crown but rcr had one on a week ago 😂. I remember rcr did the VW phaeton then a week later, Doug demuro covered the phaeton
Love the commentary! Pro tip: Turn off audio gating when there's a lot of reverb. It's very jarring when the low dB sections cut out the reverb falloff. Could be a mic problem too, so just turn off auto limiter, for instance.
I just got a ride in one last week it was amazing and I really enjoyed the tv that was an lcd but the console was made for a crt since it was a newer one but they never changed the parts.
Curious if Brad was talking about Daniel Schmitt when he said his dealer friend in Missouri, they had one and the place is right up the street from me.
Does anyone know anything about the over lander crazy RV thing in the background around 4:23 if so I'd love to hear about it. I live in Flagstaff and I'm pretty sure I've seen that thing a few times.
"The Toyota Century V12 is a diamond in a world of coal" - Regular Car Reviews
So then we're all in agreement. The Toyota century is one of the greatest cars.
this one is a v8 I think (3:57)
it is
Its got a hemi in it
@@rustedratchetgarage6788 but why would you put a hemi in it? The engine is basically two 1JZ welded together.

Every button lights up
1990's
Sounds like the future
Love it
Sounds like a much more relaxing jaunt across the country that we have enjoyed but I think a Century vs. Caddy limo Cannonball race could be in order.
Ed Bolian if you ever do this and are looking for a driver look me up.
Ed Bolian there is a town in North Dakota called Cannon Ball.
I feel this would be a fantastic race, my money is on the Caddy.
Ed Bolian That would be epic! Do it!
That sounds like a fantasic idea!
When RCR did a review on the same car a few hours ago...
SldgeHammr that's exactly what I was thinking lol but I think this is the first generation so it's legal in the us
RCR one is the newer model, quite different .
Yeah the 2nd gen is not legal yet since it is not 25 years ago yet
Pretty cool coincidence. We have noticed that when that happens, it can help a lot with views. We did an E46 M3 video the same day Demuro released one about the E46 and E39 and it did about 50% better than ours were averaging at that point.
Ed Bolian Car Illuminati confirmed
I like this guy - his appreciation for cars goes beyond the typical supercar guy.
That ending killed me😂
Ah. You missed it
There's like
2000 of them on a boat coming this way
😂
HA!! I was thinking the same thing! Poor Ed, that's the story of his life...
These have been available as 2nd hand imports in NZ for 20+ years. Have seen excellent condition ones as low as $2,000. The prices have changed in the last couple of years!
There is also a V12 and a limousine of this moden Century. Very nice cars.
I ment on this body. Not the newer One.
cloridan Beauchamps it was v8. Then v12 from 96 up until right when they went to the hybrid the last couple years
The leg pass through thing is pretty awesome.
may be 2000 on a boat but there are plenty of people who want it now who didn't know before, thanks Vinwiki for probably doubling the price and challenge of my finding dream car.
You will be fine, they still are not that popular even in 2020. the aftermarket pretty much decides if the car will go up in price.
Love the passive aggressive comment!! 👍😂😂
Gives me the fear thinking about taking a salt free jdm car to bonneville
Thought I was the only one. Rust ahoy.
+1
Hell yeah! DuPont REGISTRY has finally got a TH-cam channel to sponsor them. Hands down my favorite magazine, and has been since mid elementary school, and I'm 26. Let that sink in for a second.
This guy seems like he has some stories to tell. I love the two tone 308.
Wait someone in my hometown imports toyota centuries?!? I will have one.
We must find this man! From Roanoke too

I am so early that Toyota is still called Toyoda.
After seeing Mr. Regular's review and now this I know it's my duty in life to get one of the these toyota century's.
Some years ago I was privileged to get up close to a Nissan "Presidential" it was used by the President of Nissan North America. it had curtains, TV. a big V8 dual exhaust, loved that car.
According to the driver they crushed the car after use broke my heart. This was in the 80's
Vinwiki 1st Gen Toyota Century story.
RCR 2nd Gen Toyota Century story.
Demuro's turn now
Ed Bolian 3rd Gen started last year 2017 so someone has to go to Japan lol
I had always wanted a century before this and RCR vids on them... now the want is approaching ludicrous levels!
Following you and rcr, I am now a Toyota century expert.
at 7:02 Counts Kustoms crew
I was wondering if anyone else caught that... Kevin and Ryan
Great story!
4:03 FYI - Carhenge is 120 miles from Ogallala.
Better to aim for Alliance, NE if you want to stop at Carhenge.
Carhenge is actually in Alliance, Nebraska not Ogallala, Nebraska
Last time I was this early the Yakuza hadn’t cleaned the pinky fingers out of that cars glovebox yet.
Man the 1997 v12s are next level unfortunately prices are going up and I may never get to own one
Hey! I did a cross country road trip from chicago to monterey car week last year as well! Granted, mine was only in my 05 Saabaru 9-2x, but it was absolutely incredible. Sounds like his trip was as well!
I would buy that car just to sleep in the back seat during break at work. *LUXURY*
Vin wiki makes continuing education classes much more fun to be at.
The Centuries are truly luxuries vehicles
It has a WOOL interior! The best material for a car interior
I stay watching these videos while working
This story is one of my favourites
I actually got to see this beast in person at a car show I went to. He is trying to sell it to whoever wants it.
was the show local to Maryland? the map that he posted that left from salisbury maryland is my hometown. I'm very curious to know if he is a local.
Compliments on your storytelling skills!
And on choosing to have a damn fine adventure instead of following the heard.

Ffs now the prices are going to increase like hell
I saw this thing parked in front of the entrance to an event talking to some cops and immediately knew what it was and fanboy-ed so hard with my friend I was there with. Can't believe it's on vinwiki.
Love your story, Brad! Though the funniest thing about a Toyota Century is the owner's manual 🤣
1:00 I remember Jeremy Clarkson did a piece on japan car culture and said that no yakuza member would be caught dead in other car than left side driver mercedes s500
Even the hardcore guys that don't mind daily driving their exotics sometimes need a relaxing cruiser.
Last time I was this early, Kimi was "taking a break while hullahooping"
Good one
That’s a pretty cool car actually!
Toyota Century the only reason I watched.
Drive cross country! I'm so glad I live in Monterey!
All Century videos must be liked

Is this the v12 monster. This is so cool.

Here come the.. 1st, 2nd, last time i was this early comments.
Last time I was this late, the main character had already been bludgeoned.
How crazy, yesterday Regular Car Reviews released a vid on the Century. Today, VINwiki
Love that car. Just saw a Prince Gloria in this years Great Race. Beautiful car.
Last time I was this early everyone was still alive haha
woah woah woah. Is this guy local to Salisbury, Maryland? Thats my hometown and if this car is also local, I'd pay to see it in person.
Looks like something grandpa would pull a pop up trailer to a 1980s campground with.
He has my dream car!!
I got here early and was lucky enough to save some seats, come join me fellow peers in the back row
9:18 - Nice Tyler Hoover reference!
Cool video!
At 7:00 you can see Kevin and Ryan from Count's Kustoms checking out the Century.
That car is awesome. I saw one parked around car week. It was in front at the concourse d lemons.
How do you maintain such cars? I mean, where do you get parts from and where will you find mechanics to do the repairs?
Great, between this and RCR the prices on imports are gonna double.
Great story.
Love the commentary! Pro tip: Turn off audio gating when there's a lot of reverb. It's very jarring when the low dB sections cut out the reverb falloff. Could be a mic problem too, so just turn off auto limiter, for instance.
9:45 turn on subtitles and watch. It says “its time to sell my niggaz”
I use the WD40 trick for my dirtbike for really nasty mud races so it just falls off on its own for the first half
Centuries are SICK!!!!
Comment 17.... Not even mad. Keep pumping out these awesome stories!!
Sounds like a fun trip!
Last time I was this early bitcoin guy didn’t leave a comment
I like your taste in cars!
5:42 $5 says you had to get Douglas All Seasons or Douglas Performance tires.
That is a beautiful car
Once you see the immaculate paint job on the Century, every other car looks mediocre at best. It's simply breathtaking. ✨
Now I want one.
Last time I was this early the Girls Cheerleading team was over there with their power washing setup.
The reason I say the mk3 Supra is the best is because of the interior. All of the buttons light up and are just 1980s awesomeness.
Imagine daily driving one of those😍😍
The Japanese don't salt their roads, so often they don't bother to seal them from it.
Wow I have never actually been this early with only 5 comments 😂😂 I feel like a cool kid.
Thanks for being on top of it.
Surprised those things never really got imported over here
I live in wendover this is so cool can't believe I didn't see the car out here 😫
I was just looking at Centurys
That is a perfect example of a yakuza mafia car. Exactly what comes to mind
Damn I want one.
Does anyone know anything about the over lander crazy RV thing in the background around 4:23 if so I'd love to hear about it. I live in Flagstaff and I'm pretty sure I've seen that thing a few times.
This dude needs to make a video, of him bringing it to a toyota dealer for its routine maintenance
Ive always wanted one of these or a nissan president
Fun story.
The Century has become an internet sensation within 2 months
Yet we've had these as 2nd hand imports in NZ for 25 years. These and the Nissan President.
Cassette Walkman you kiwi's are separate from everyone else on Earth
Just bought one😎
It's a beauty :D
I recognize him I’m from around the delmar area not far from Salisbury
I'm going to buy a century
This dealership is in Nashville and it’s a museum
i kind of want one
