@@europeinvasion3057 so you want a 5L V12 engine that has high fuel economy?... Huh?... Engines in those caliber sip fuel like having water in a dry dessert
Two important/super cool things about the V12 engine. It’s basically two 1JZ’s bolted together. As such it has a cool limp mode feature that allows the engine to run each bank of six independent of each other if something fails in one.
The interior wood grain panels were produced by YAMAHA. All of them are real wood. The curved shapes of the center console and rear armrest are wonderful. From Japan
I wish car manufacturers would look back to the past and build their cars with some of the features, comfort and looks of older cars and combine them with nowadays technology
Very similar to my 2009 crown Majesta but a touch less refined in some areas. Toyota Engineers are true geniuses and I will never go back to a falcon again
Hey Clay, question regarding that number plate. I noticed that it's all numeric. Is it a heritage plate enamel plate but transferred onto the Japanese style plate?
Please Do it!! We need more videos for these Classics:) Would love to see some comparisons with the same year Lexus partners/brothers such as the LS400s & LS430s!
Highly doubt there's only approximately 1,050 century V12's that exist claiming only 50 of them were produced a year. Maybe you were referring to the first model's ever built?
This is not a 1999 model. Up to 2004, the Century featured a column shift gear selector (4-speed). 2005-on, it went to a centre console shift and 6-speed.
They offered a center console shifter in the earlier models too with the 4 speed automatic. You could get either or at the time when the v12 came out in 97
This is probably a 1999 car. It is definitely from before 2001 because of the aspect ratio of the front screen. These were overhauled around 2002. It's also a four speed transmission, the six speed variants had only sequential shifts and moved away from 3/2/L. It's also before 2005, because the brake lights are not LEDs.
swap the rolex for a grand seiko, and this vid would be perfect.
yhahah consumes fuel like a jet,, keep it for you gran babby

Why drive a Japanese car through Chinatown? :-P
We don't have a Japanese town in Melbourne. They're are some Japanese restaurants in the area anyway. 👍
Is it true that only 50 were made in a year ?
