This is how you write a complex and strong female character. It doesn't mean that strong female characters do not want love and hates the idea of it, they like love BUT they do not want to be changed by it. I hate it how independent female characters are somehow portrayed as a love hating female or when a strong female meets it's male lead they somehow becomes soft, NO NO NO. I just *LOVE* it that they didn't change Kang Sa Ra so much just because she fell in love, she's still the same badass, strong, complex, independent woman.
She is the most badass female character in drama. I’am speaking about realistic character not such as IU in hotel del Luna or the girl in graceful family ( badass too but in a so crazy way). Also She was badass in three dramas not just one. Moreover in second lead character. I am so excited to see her in as main character

When life gets crazy, being crazy is what helps you survive, exactly what these other characters you mentioned are portraying. Well, IMO, Kang Sa Ra is a badass crazy woman too, but each to their own, i suppose.
I really loved her in the drama Monstar, she was much younger in that one but she was still pretty awesome and I love that she continues to be a badass now that she’s an adult.

Even when she fell for the guy and confessed or when she missed him, she was never pathetic, clingy, or annoying. Seriously, when will we ever get such main female lead?
I hate that writers always try to keep the male lead cool even when in love, while the female one has to be pathetic. And when she’s not, then she’s overly mean, hurtful, or evil.
Edit: i remembered that the female lead in New Tales of Gisaeng was also not annoying, clingy, or pathetic.
Same... I actually liked that that she loved him first and didn't make it a pride thing to confess first ... She wasn't clingy or pathetic... I really liked both the love stories of this drama. Even the female lead was badass and amazing in her own way.

even with all her coolness and fierce aura, I liked how she was towards her brother after she found out his secret. she didn't use it to her advantage like a villain but managed to understand things from his side and his attitude towards her.

I think the reason why her character was so fascinating was how she carried herself. She was rich via her father's marriage but didn't allow that to stop her when people try to use it against her. Usually, other characters would have had a chip on their shoulders for this. She was smart, talented, worked hard even more so than her brother (the main lead). Even the main lead recognise she might be cold but she is a force to be reckoned with.
You want to root for her because she had her priorities right and worked hard for all her success.
If you took away her wealth she would still be the same and probably still become a director or CEO.
Lastly, her beauty, grace and style and no-nonsense attitude was something to admire. Her interactions with people felt real whether it's her brother, father, love interest e.c.t.
Very similar to her Search WWW character but I felt Scarlet was overall nicer of the two and adorable.
Kang Sa Ra is what I honestly want to become in the future. Strong, Independent, Sophisticated, Classy and Financially free 💚

I adore her character and how she carried it, how her makeup changing throughout the series, her fashion. Something’s lacking about the love line though

@@elithluxe7568 Not really....it depends on the chemistry and type of relationship between secondary characters...if the relationship is really good like this one (Kang Sa Ra and Eun Ye) then we would love to see more of them than the lead characters....but if the two leads have overpowering chemistry like which exists between GT and ko moon young in its okay to not be okay, than we want to see more of Those leads than the secondary characters...

I love how Kang sa ra is not a rich woman who thinks she owns the men. She is independent , elegant and classy knows her worth and respects herself . She works hard to achieve things she wants , She could've played dirty when she found out about her brother's disease but instead stayed loyal to family and people she loves, Even supported her brother in front of grandfather . She was respectful and minded her own business through out the show , She definitely has some scars that she is healing but doesn't use as weapon to get away with things . Her aura is vulnerable yet powerful in a sophisticated way. She definitely is someone young women should look up to instead of some fl in kdrama that don't respect other's boundaries.❤
