Targeting Kawhia Snapper on light freshwater gear - featuring Kiwi Fisher and Trout Fix Nz

Here we're joined with Dyl and Ben, and launch the boat in the Kawhia harbour with our eyes set on fishing the 50 meter mark across the bar. With conditions being mint, the sounder wasn't holding back, with thick blankets of fish. While the targets were snapper we got onto some Kahawai, Macks, Coutas and Gurnard too. Definitely a fun way to catch them. I think I’m hooked on using the light gear, rather than winching the fish up on a 9000 reel and 80lb haha.
