@@n00bywarrior They also gain their fame early on due to their first music video "Thrill" going viral and being reacted to, so I think they don't mind reactions as it's part of what got them out there. I will say when listening to early tracks like Thrill, it's good to know that at the time the studio they were signed to won't approve any of their own music and therefore it was all written by the studio for them to perform. Plus, Miku, who started the band was originally going to be lead vocals, but felt she couldn't carry the vocals for a rock band, so Saiki was recruited. So Miku literally had to started learning the Rhythm Guitar and so in songs like Thrill she pretty much didn't play. So even though their early music is good, a certain style of music was kind of being pushed on them, but once they got approval and started writing their own music, I think they have just gotten increasingly better. Their new songs like this one are pushing their music farther, but they always sound amazing. Vocals are always as good as this song and she can even do some very good slower songs like "Daydreaming." They also have a song that I think is over looked because it's way outside their normal "Start Over" which is way more of a pop song and was apparently done as away to help with writers block and it got released I think simple because it turned out so good. Everyone will say that their live music is just as good if not better. Domination is a go to live track, but I will say for some reason the mixing for the instrument was off so it doesn't sound as good as it should.

I saw them live twice. Back in 2016 and 2017 both as a VIP. Those were one of the best concerts i've ever been to and I've been to Wacken (biggest metal/rock festival in the world) The audience was of every age group. They're fire live
Just 'thank you' for highlighting the voices on this song! Most people focus on the instruments in their videos, which I can totally understand because these ladies deliver the best sound I've heard in a long time. The talent of each of these ladies is so incredibly high. But for me, the overall sound also includes the voice of the band, and from my point of view, Saiki as the main voice and Miku as the secondary voice are on the same high level as the instruments. That is Saiki's normal singing voice. There's a LONG list of songs to enjoy from them. Their official live stuff is amazing. Freedom, Domination, Puzzle, Wonderland, Moratorium, Play (Shibuya 2020) and Real Existence are all great live performances from them. The main reason I haven't put Japanese music on the channel much is because Japanese copyright law is INSANELY aggressive, and since TH-cam copyright is even more aggressive than the law allows, Japanese content on TH-cam is usually an instant delete of your channel. Thankfully BAND-MAID are under PONYCANYON (at least for their newer releases) which is the only Japanese music label that seems to be okay with TH-camrs reacting to their music. This will ALWAYS be a k-pop focused channel but I listen to a fair amount of Japanese hip hop and J-Pop as well and would post those some too if not for the copyright problems. If BAND-MAID is safe, I will definitely react to more stuff from them!
Yea it’s very much their normal vocal style. Has been since they started. They don’t scream. Saiki loves pop music, and backup vocals Miku can’t help but have a pop voice. Miku has started some cute shouting on their latest album though.

They are the best rock band on earth. This is the normal vocal sound except on some songs she is even sweeter with her vocals. She is perfect for this band as all of them are perfect for each other. All their songs are exceptional with some being absolute masterpieces of rock.

Well, welcome to Band Maid. Yesh .. that's saiki's "normal" singing voice, although she is getting better and more versatile song after song and year after year. She sounds pretty much exactly the same live :) Also just a heads up that there are english caps on all their new mvs. Miku writes the lyrics and they are quite good (even if the translation is ... well ... slightly engrish). Next time try to hear the drums and bass too ... the rhythm section in Band Maid is phenomenal :) Next I'd say you should check one of their official clips from Feb. 14th 2020 ... or one of the two other MVs they released in the last weeks ("Manners" and "After Life":) .. or just get a ticket for their online Okyiuji on Feb 21st (available through their website bandmaid.tokyo .

Stuff like "Don't Judge me by the way of others" or "Just a bad dream. confused in my dizzyness" (in Afterlife). I do understand what is meant, but it sounds/reads "weird", probably due to the fact that the translator had to convey complex japanese concepts into the next best english approximation while still keeping it short enough to be read at the frantic pace of Band Maid songs.

I'm a huge BLINK from the U.S... I found Band Maid, (Dice M/V),while having drinks at a tap house in Bangkok after a Blackpink concert in July 2019. Looked them up back at the hotel and got hooked. I've loved these talented ladies as well ever since. You can't go wrong.
This is their vocal sound. The only thing is they've been getting better and letting the backup vocalist shine more on the new cd. So the back up vocals used to only really shine in live performances for the most part. But on this latest CD they really let her stand out without overpowering the main vocals. Wikipedia also said they're a metal band while the maids themselves stated that their music is hard rock, but they have intermix shade of it as well as other genres. Since you came from the kpop stan, maybe try Start Over. It has high doses of pop vibe.
No worries, no screaming thankfully! You can pretty much watch any other song by them and it will be just as good but maybe in a different way! At the core is hard rock but they are not afraid of throwing in punk, metal, pop, blues, even jazz. Every song is pretty unique. Well worth checking out! As said their live videos are great!

They don't or haven't heard any screaming in any of their songs and that is what makes me like them all the more. Like you, I'm not a fan of screaming. The lead singer's name is pronounced like the word psyche.

If you like Saiki's voice in the MV, you should hear her live. As others have said, they have some - extremely good quality - live performances out there and Saiki has incredible stage presence.
Saiki intended to make a career in pop and R&B music as a vocalist and also as an actress. It blended perfectly into the Band Maid sound with its vocals not typical of other Japanese singers. Her voice is deeper and much more suitable for audiences outside of Japan who are not used to Japanese singers with a high voice. The band’s plans from the beginning were to win over audiences outside of Japan and Saiki is a singer with whom this is achievable. Band Maid songs are very difficult to sing, with a lot of lyrics and which changes quickly so there is no room to let go of your beautiful voice. During the concert, he sings about 20 songs where there are a total of lyrics as for one small book. Her live performance is really impressive and now it is expected the most from her, after the polyp surgery on the vocal cords that she had in 2018. On the album Unseen World, great progress can be heard in her singing. She is celebrating her birthday soon, on February 8, and it would be cool to make a reaction dedicated to her that day. Most Japanese kanji have more than one reading. Saiki is one, Irodori-Hime is another. Her name is Saiki (Psyche works best). She had been self-conscious of her teeth for a long time but I think she decided to stop thinking about it sometime last year. You can sort of tell with MVs and interviews that she cares about it a lot less now.

It is interesting. Most reactors are amazed by their instruments. I don't think I ever heard a reactor go that crazy over Saiki's voice. But you are a K-pop guy so it makes sense. I agree about the screaming. It is one of the reasons I quit listening to hard rock/metal because everyone sounded mad and angry. Saiki's voice adds a lot of melody and catchiness to their hard rock sound.

Everytime I hear one if their songs I think this is their best song but then the next song is even better Oh and I really recommend you to listen to some of their live performances because they sound even better live
For great vocal performances try the live versions of Daydreaming (might be down for copyright, but it pops up from time to time), Wonderland, and Puzzle (the acoustic is pretty much just her singing) and the MVs for Blooming and Manners.
Yaeba 'vampire' teeth are actually prized in Japan, where they're considered to be a mark of youth and beauty. Saiki has mused from time to time about having them removed, but has been dissuaded by the other band members who think they're cool. Personally I find them sexy.
Yeah in my opinion hers look incredible. Obviously if there's a medical or practical reason she wants them removed, then go for it. But if it's just how they look, I love how she looks now.

They are no longer under Revolver Records. Now Pony Canyon. Akane is also no longer the leader. They don’t really have a leader now each one takes charge of different things. They have over 100 songs, all great. Chances are if one song goes on the playlist, another 20 or 30 goes along with it. There are a few thousand reactions to their songs still up on TH-cam, so I think pretty safe. If you want anime OP, check out “Different” and ED check out “Glory”, both on their channel. They have released a lot of stuff from their new album in recent weeks, but I suggest to get an idea of her ability, voice and presence, you first check a couple of their live performances (official) from the last years - Domination, Freedom, Puzzle, Wonderland before continuing with the newer releases. @@n00bywarrior They also gain their fame early on due to their first music video "Thrill" going viral and being reacted to, so I think they don't mind reactions as it's part of what got them out there. I will say when listening to early tracks like Thrill, it's good to know that at the time the studio they were signed to won't approve any of their own music and therefore it was all written by the studio for them to perform. Plus, Miku, who started the band was originally going to be lead vocals, but felt she couldn't carry the vocals for a rock band, so Saiki was recruited. So Miku literally had to started learning the Rhythm Guitar and so in songs like Thrill she pretty much didn't play. So even though their early music is good, a certain style of music was kind of being pushed on them, but once they got approval and started writing their own music, I think they have just gotten increasingly better. Their new songs like this one are pushing their music farther, but they always sound amazing. Vocals are always as good as this song and she can even do some very good slower songs like "Daydreaming." They also have a song that I think is over looked because it's way outside their normal "Start Over" which is way more of a pop song and was apparently done as away to help with writers block and it got released I think simple because it turned out so good. Everyone will say that their live music is just as good if not better. Domination is a go to live track, but I will say for some reason the mixing for the instrument was off so it doesn't sound as good as it should.

I saw them live twice. Back in 2016 and 2017 both as a VIP. Those were one of the best concerts i've ever been to and I've been to Wacken (biggest metal/rock festival in the world)

Just 'thank you' for highlighting the voices on this song! Most people focus on the instruments in their videos, which I can totally understand because these ladies deliver the best sound I've heard in a long time. The talent of each of these ladies is so incredibly high. But for me, the overall sound also includes the voice of the band, and from my point of view, Saiki as the main voice and Miku as the secondary voice are on the same high level as the instruments. Together they just fit the sound perfectly.

That is Saiki's normal singing voice. There's a LONG list of songs to enjoy from them. Their official live stuff is amazing. Freedom, Domination, Puzzle, Wonderland, Moratorium, Play (Shibuya 2020) and Real Existence are all great live performances from them. The main reason I haven't put Japanese music on the channel much is because Japanese copyright law is INSANELY aggressive, and since TH-cam copyright is even more aggressive than the law allows, Japanese content on TH-cam is usually an instant delete of your channel. Thankfully BAND-MAID are under PONYCANYON (at least for their newer releases) which is the only Japanese music label that seems to be okay with TH-camrs reacting to their music.
This will ALWAYS be a k-pop focused channel but I listen to a fair amount of Japanese hip hop and J-Pop as well and would post those some too if not for the copyright problems. If BAND-MAID is safe, I will definitely react to more stuff from them!

They are the best rock band on earth. This is the normal vocal sound except on some songs she is even sweeter with her vocals. She is perfect for this band as all of them are perfect for each other. All their songs are exceptional with some being absolute masterpieces of rock.

this is their typical style of vocals. They have over 90 songs, and every song pretending to be my favorite. Personally I recommend to listen to "Freedom" (Official Live video (THERE IS SUPER GREAT DRUM SOLO)) and "Blooming" (official MV) - great songs to start with.

Well, welcome to Band Maid. Yesh .. that's saiki's "normal" singing voice, although she is getting better and more versatile song after song and year after year. She sounds pretty much exactly the same live :) Also just a heads up that there are english caps on all their new mvs. Miku writes the lyrics and they are quite good (even if the translation is ... well ... slightly engrish). Next time try to hear the drums and bass too ... the rhythm section in Band Maid is phenomenal :)
Next I'd say you should check one of their official clips from Feb. 14th 2020 ... or one of the two other MVs they released in the last weeks ("Manners" and "After Life":) .. or just get a ticket for their online Okyiuji on Feb 21st (available through their website bandmaid.tokyo .
English translations for the new MVs look good to me. Definitely an improvement on the unofficial versions.
@@steppingstone6643 oh .. it's definitely quite a step up from the unofficial translation. "Engrish" is not the correct word for what I meant. Stuff like "Don't Judge me by the way of others" or "Just a bad dream. confused in my dizzyness" (in Afterlife). I do understand what is meant, but it sounds/reads "weird", probably due to the fact that the translator had to convey complex japanese concepts into the next best english approximation while still keeping it short enough to be read at the frantic pace of Band Maid songs.

I'm a huge BLINK from the U.S... I found Band Maid, (Dice M/V),while having drinks at a tap house in Bangkok after a Blackpink concert in July 2019. Looked them up back at the hotel and got hooked. I've loved these talented ladies as well ever since. You can't go wrong.
This is their vocal sound. The only thing is they've been getting better and letting the backup vocalist shine more on the new cd. So the back up vocals used to only really shine in live performances for the most part. But on this latest CD they really let her stand out without overpowering the main vocals. This is just one song of their over 100+ Discography that will blow you away. Their sound are definitely hard rock with some metal influences. However, the chorus and vocals are unique in the Genre as it is clean, melodic that is usually backed with awesome harmonies. At the core is hard rock but they are not afraid of throwing in punk, metal, pop, blues, even jazz. Every song is pretty unique. Well worth checking out! As said their live videos are great!

They don't or haven't heard any screaming in any of their songs and that is what makes me like them all the more. Like you, I'm not a fan of screaming. The lead singer's name is pronounced like the word psyche.

If you like Saiki's voice in the MV, you should hear her live. As others have said, they have some - extremely good quality - live performances out there and Saiki has incredible stage presence.
Saiki intended to make a career in pop and R&B music as a vocalist and also as an actress. It blended perfectly into the Band Maid sound with its vocals not typical of other Japanese singers. Her voice is deeper and much more suitable for audiences outside of Japan who are not used to Japanese singers with a high voice. The band’s plans from the beginning were to win over audiences outside of Japan and Saiki is a singer with whom this is achievable. Band Maid songs are very difficult to sing, with a lot of lyrics and which changes quickly so there is no room to let go of your beautiful voice. During the concert, he sings about 20 songs where there are a total of lyrics as for one small book. Her live performance is really impressive and now it is expected the most from her, after the polyp surgery on the vocal cords that she had in 2018. On the album Unseen World, great progress can be heard in her singing. She is celebrating her birthday soon, on February 8, and it would be cool to make a reaction dedicated to her that day. Most Japanese kanji have more than one reading. Saiki is one, Irodori-Hime is another. Her name is Saiki (Psyche works best). She had been self-conscious of her teeth for a long time but I think she decided to stop thinking about it sometime last year. You can sort of tell with MVs and interviews that she cares about it a lot less now.

It is interesting. Most reactors are amazed by their instruments. I don't think I ever heard a reactor go that crazy over Saiki's voice. But you are a K-pop guy so it makes sense. I agree about the screaming. It is one of the reasons I quit listening to hard rock/metal because everyone sounded mad and angry. Saiki's voice adds a lot of melody and catchiness to their hard rock sound.

For great vocal performances try the live versions of Daydreaming (might be down for copyright, but it pops up from time to time), Wonderland, and Puzzle (the acoustic is pretty much just her singing) and the MVs for Blooming and Manners.
Yaeba 'vampire' teeth are actually prized in Japan, where they're considered to be a mark of youth and beauty. Saiki has mused from time to time about having them removed, but has been dissuaded by the other band members who think they're cool.

Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid. They are no longer under Revolver Records. Now Pony Canyon. Akane is also no longer the leader. They don’t really have a leader now each one takes charge of different things.
They have over 100 songs, all great. Chances are if one song goes on the playlist, another 20 or 30 goes along with it. There are a few thousand reactions to their songs still up on TH-cam, so I think pretty safe.

The ladies are on fire right now because in roughly the past month they have dropped four singles: "Different" which was a commissioned song to being used as the season 3 opening of Log Horizon, "Warning!" which you just watched along with "Manners" and After Life" all of which are on their new album "Unseen World".
If you like Saiki then you'll like the songs "Wonderland", "Day Dreaming" and "Choose Me" which I think show off her range the best. Fans on here will tell you to check out their live videos (Domination, Freedom and Play) but their music videos for Dice, Don't You Tell Me, and Blooming are great as well.
