Fantastic video! Seeing this as a physiological glitch makes it a lot easier to "override". Rather than just feeling like you have a bunch of thoughts attacking you
See I have ocd....but i want to ask you natasha that ....I live in hostel , and when I have to take something ( like medicine, or snacks) from nearby shop , in evening ....from morning only I get disturb...feel like tension that I have to go to shop, and until I take the things I can't get rid of that thought or tension ...and if ihave to study also....I can't focus well until I bring the goods because of tension of going to shop , specially a new shop ,when I have to take more things .... I feel in this way , if i have to go in evening beacause its sunny day....from morning i get tension again and again thought that i have go.....the i feel let me just go in the morning only and bring things( goods ) from shop....then. Iwill feel relief and relax once i bring the things i want..means I can' t wait till evening....if in case i wait for evening , the time from between morning to evening get wasted or gets less productive....or i jave difficult to focus on studies ( even I have exams).....# IS it ocd or form of ocd ...I often avoid new shops and mall to visit alone....or to buy thinga alone why?
thank you so much for sharing this, natasha!! im 28 and i have true ocd, i see a psychiatrist and get medication that keeps me okay, but i dont see a therapist anymore because of some traumatic experiences. however, i learn a lot about mental health and do my best to get better at my issues and fears daily. there's one thing though that i still struggle with. i have OCD with things that i like to do, or at least used to like to do. i dont know how to tell things apart, like.. is this OCD, or is it a dream i must achieve? is this a compulsion or do i wanna be a famous artist? all i know is that wanting to pursue my art career dream hurts me, but that i like drawing. i think i should try drawing and not posting anymore, but this gives me a strong fear and i feel reluctant. i post compulsively and wait for likes and for fame to come... do you have any advice for OCD related to things we like to do and dream about? especially related to the childhood. thank you!!!
Im managing my ocd "well", but i really needed this reminder today. Thank you Natasha
