    Very clean, simple but thought out, and tasty looking vegetarian recipe! I am no vegetarian myself but I do love how refreshing vegetable recipes are! My condolences to the chickens. 😅

      Thank you so much, William. I’m glad you enjoyed the recipe and could appreciate the simplicity and flavour, even as a non-vegetarian. Vegetables really do bring so much freshness and vibrancy to meals. And yes, the chickens, definitely a sad part of the story. Thanks for the kind words, and I hope you get a chance to try the recipe sometime.

    I have finished the video. This looks very good and I will definitely be making this at some point. It's another bleak, grey, cold day here. I made Mediterranean fish stew a few days ago and I have a little left. Soup is so good with my home baked ciabatta bread.
    I had chickens many years back. It's amazing how attached a person can get to them. They really do have little personalities. Mine slowly vanished without a trace. I'm going with they flew away and lived happily ever after. ;-)

      Hi Jim, thank you for your kind words. I’m so glad the soup caught your eye, and I’d love to hear how it turns out when you give it a try. Your Mediterranean fish stew sounds absolutely wonderful, especially paired with your homemade ciabatta, what a perfect combination for these grey, cold days. I loved hearing about your chickens; they really do have such unique personalities and I like your optimistic take on their adventures. I’m picturing them living their best lives, happily ever after. 😊 Ours, sadly, weren’t as lucky, they fell victim to the fox, which was heartbreaking. Thanks again for sharing a bit of your world with me, and stay warm and cozy.

    The algorithm sent me your way and after watching this I immediately went and started cooking up a batch. Currently blipping away on the hob. Only got tinned lentils tho so will stir them in 5 mins before it’s ready.

      Thank you so much for letting me know! It makes me so happy to hear that the recipe inspired you to get cooking right away. Tinned lentils work perfectly too and adding them toward the end is a great call! I’d absolutely love to see how it turned out (if I’m not too late!). If you’d like, you can share a photo of your dish in our Facebook community page - I’d be thrilled to see it and share it with others. I have a couple of tins of brown lentils. Wonder how they would substitute.

      Hi Maxine. They will be fine, but as they are already cooked follow the process as in the video and add your lentils towards the end for the last 10 minutes or so ensuring you bring them up to temperature. I have never tried canned lentils as I prefer the dry ones but lentils are lentils 😊 - I am keen to find out how you get on. 🙂

    I'm sorry but I have to ask, how cold is it there? I recently returned to the U.S. from Portugal where it was a pleasant 16˚C to find it snowy and - 5˚C !!!

    • @TortellinoTime
      @TortellinoTime  วันที่ผ่านมา

      Hi Jim - Oh wow, what a change from Portugal’s 16˚C to snowy -5˚C-your face emoji says it all! When I recorded the video, it was definitely cold here too. Julie and I went for a walk in the Norfolk countryside, and most of the puddles had standing ice. It didn’t get much above 2 or 3 degrees that day. We live in Norfolk, on the eastern side of the UK, about 13 miles from the North Sea coast. The weather here can be very changeable, one day it’s in double digits, and the next it dips below freezing. Today is milder at 9˚C but very wet, so we’re keeping cozy indoors near the fire.

    LOL! " a man look" too funny. I have to admit I understand where Julie is coming from. I have several multiples of things in my cupboard because I bought something I thought I was out of only to find I had already bought it. Okay, back to finish the video...

    Wait, stop! Was that fresh parsley from the garden that you froze and put in that bag?! I have/had lots of parsley out in my garden, which is under a meter of snow now. I didn't know you could do that, or am I wrong? Is it dried?

      Hi - yes It was fresh when I put it in the freezer. Here is the link how to do it Jim: th-cam.com/users/shortsRy_Wb8rT0xg
