    Thank you for mentioning the size of the drill bit used to drill the holes!

    We ended up exchanging this model for the slimmer version th-cam.com/users/postUgkx0jZ_lGlDVJhDnmagEU8gn47cmfPNlLQU because it was too wide for the only door trim area that made sense to mount it on. However, we should have just noted the dimensions prior to purchasing. Otherwise, we love the doorbell. It works perfectly, and the video is very clear, even at night.

    Appreciate the information you provided that IF you cannot connect wirelessly then to get the extender WiFi chime. Didn't know it was a WiFi extender as well.

    Thanks for a very understandable video, especially the part about drilling into stucco. I was afraid that they had left out the little level that used to be included in the earlier models, but I see that you did not have one either.

      Yep, no level with the Video Doorbell 4, even though it has the slot for one. Also no retro bracket included anymore. You have to spend $1.99 on the spare parts kit for these things. Stupid Ring!

      Hello 👋 no they are not waterproof they are water resistant, manufacturer says it can withstand normal rain and snow but I never tried lol. Sorry about the music sometimes it gets out of control, will try better next time 😂

    Does the bell give you notification on your phone?

    • @TGLife1
      @TGLife1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello Lou R, yes when someone rings the bell you get notified on your phone, you can open the app on your phone and talk to the person standing at the door.

    • @reibluebook4419
      @reibluebook4419 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have my phone and echo /alexa connected, it gives notifications on both, the phone works well when I'm away from the house you can still talk to people at your door and see who it is.

    • @TGLife1
      @TGLife1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s a good question, I don’t think they specify exactly so it’s really up to you how you want it. They say about chest high.

    • @TGLife1
      @TGLife1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Jeremy Horne I can hear the sound throughout the house coming from the Chime. I’m not sure but I think if it’s not wired to your existing doorbell you won’t be able to hear it in the house. And I do get alerts on my phone as well. Hope this answers your question.

    Hi! Question...So the bottom of the Ring should be 4ft from the ground?

    • @TGLife1
      @TGLife1  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The makers of ring recommend to mount the doorbell about 48inches from the ground. That’s what we did ☺️

    How much did all of this cost? Do you have to pay a subscription?

    • @TGLife1
      @TGLife1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @ Nana Scott price varies, depending which doorbell you want and sometimes they have discounts, so I would check their website or a place where you would be buying it from. Also subscription is not required however if you want to have your events saved then you would want a subscription which cost 30 a year.

    Hi ma'am how long does the battery long last? I appreciate it a lot coz I'm trying to buy ring coz I'm leaving out of the country for 40days. I wonder if the battery will last long for a that long period of time.

    • @TGLife1
      @TGLife1  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Smitley Vlog hi there, that’s a good question. Ring says it should last from 6-12 months depending on activity, however for me it only lasts 2-3 months. But again it all depends on your doorbell’s activity, how much recording it does and settings you have. Hope this helps 🙂

    • @reibluebook4419
      @reibluebook4419 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @reibluebook4419
      @reibluebook4419 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Go ask at the home depot or lowes which one works for the holes, they usually know...I'd take the one I currently have along to show them the poser. But be careful with powerful drills I almost twisted my wrist they are very powerful, have someone with knowledge drill the wholes it can be dangerous.
