Old School teaching how to throw to the modern throw.
I have been watching some old disc golf video's and something that caught my eye on there throwing. I noticed that they were all throwing and spinning out on there front foot. I thought it was interesting because today we all throw and leave are back foot behind us. I wonder if the disc back then didn't have as much glide as are disc today. Because they were basically throwing a force over to get the disc to fly farther. Today we all throw hyzer flips on are tee off throws.

I seem to recall Aviar (a putter nowadays) held the distance record for a while, but early 90s had those, what we'd today call, overstable mids/slow fairways like Viper which don't really flip, especially when you throw them high. You need to throw those anhyzer to get any distance. So that seems to check.
Would've loved a few sample throws!

Aloha Geenimetsuri, That's prity cool. Thanks for sharing some information on how it was done in the beginning years of disc. I meet a guy that started playing disc back in those days. He gave me one if his putters. It is a Wham-o, it has a prity good dome top on it. It's prity cool.
I did a video called "Me throwing with a tight grip" . Second video called " Watch me throw. Playing 7 holes at my home course". I do some throwing in these videos.
Thanks again for the disc history. Aloha Michael

I hear older discs were more under stable than the newer fast and over stable options.
~647ft was the distance record in 1994 according to WFDF.

Aloha Claytonmitte, That's interesting the max distance record was 647 feet. The disc were boat anchors. I saw a video Paul McBeth was in and they used the old disc. He said they are nothing like today's disc. Prity cool thanks for wrighting. Aloha Michael

follow through is about minimizing impact to the body. Only Josh from overthrow teaches to not follow through. Pretty much every pro follows through.

Aloha Carnyshill, Ya it would be strange to try to not fallow thru. Body needs to uncoil . The fallow thru is were you get all your cool pictures from. Lol. Aloha Michael
