The goddess herself. The people there were very lucky. Whenever there's an autograph signing after a concert, the people around her like the security are very tight and hard to get near her.
Ey, didn't you noticed the "bad ass" swag of Lea here? Heart must be delighted to see and hear a great broadway icon singin' rock "Alone" so splendidly. Just lovely!
When she went up onstage the 2nd time, she sang a Filipino song with a band. She was bangin' her head like a rockstar and jumping onstage. It was nice to see her other side. People see her as serious and finesse but she is witty and funny in person and more beautiful without make up. She doesn't normally wear make up when going out cos she closely associate it with work.

People there were very lucky to hear Ms. Lea Salonga sung live for free. It was a simple bar where people usually gather during weekends and luckily Ms. Lea visited there and sung Alone requested by customers.
A truly master, in her leisure time. And what a wonderful band.
You're absolutely right! As a storyteller, she always chooses to build up a song. I've been noticing this when she sings pop songs like her version of Empire State of Mind and Blurred Lines. It gives me something to look forward to when most pop songs repeat verses a lot and could easily get boring. I just love how she gives justice to the lyrics and stay true to what they mean. I just love how intentional she is with her performances-even impromptu. She's not just a singer, she's an artist.
I would love for you to check out her I Enjoy Being A Girl and Someone Else's Story concert performances. They're amaaazing! And thanks for this fun reaction vid. I was just watching this Alone performance a few hours ago and literally gasped when i saw this notify from your channel!
I love her take on the "Blurred lines" which originally sung by Robin Thicke and when asked what makes her version different, she said it's less creepy especially hearing it from a girl.

She had a taste of pop singing during her teen years. Madonna, Sheena Easton, Menudo, and mostly 80's songs were her genre when she was younger. I missed her younger voice. Her initial self-titled international album was based on mainstream pop.

I was stunned to find that the first performance (Show "You are Super") I heard was when she was 14!!!!
She's now 18 and still developing. She sings in Russian, French, English, Spain and Arabic.
The covers she performed on that show are very popular on TH-cam. Many TH-camrs publish reactions on these performances, which include the ethnic song "River" (in a new musical arrangement), "Blizzard", "Wicked Game", "Human", "Derniere Danse", "Take On Me" and others.

So good to see this! If you need any other ideas for Salonga Sunday, then I would recommend 'Too Much For One Heart' from the Broadway Concert (or the entire concert tbh). Also 'The Prayer' with Josh Groban, where she sang with in a wheelchair with a broken leg.

Lea, is actually a versatile singer she can sing anything... In her own rendition...
Lea is mainly known for being the voice of 2 Disney princesses and her broadway work, but she has been singing pop her whole life. I’m almost positive she recorded the song “The Greatest Love of All” as a child in the early 80s (possibly before Whitney’s version came out), but it wasn’t put into an album (a compilation album) until Lea was a teenager and Whitney’s version was well-known. Lea opened for Menudo (during the height of their popularity) when she was as a teen and would sing pop songs then. In recent years she has sung Ed Sheeran, One Direction, and Lady Gaga. And she has certainly sung older pop hits over the years as well, being a child of the 70s - she did a power ballad medley of songs from the 70s and 80s (maybe there were 90s songs as well).

Interesting reaction and analysis of a great singer and song. Can I introduce you to another great singer and vocal coach famous around the World but not here. Floor Jansen is a Dutch soprano with over 3 octaves range who is lead singer of the Finnish Symphonic Metal Band Nightwish. During lockdown she has been releasing covers on her own TH-cam channel (Floor Jansen) including Alone by Heart, Adagio, Oblivion and others. However, I think you will find more interesting her collaboration on a couple of songs with Henk Poort, the original Dutch Phantom in Phantom of the opera and later Valjean in Les Miserables. They did a version of Phantom of the Opera on the Dutch TV show Beste Zangers and have recently released a version of Dangerous Game from the Jekyll and Hyde musical. I think you will find them remarkable.

Check out a very lucky singer. She was in a car accident in 2003 that left her right vocal chord paralyzed. She goes by the name Mean Mary. (it was a song she wrote when she was 6, and the name stuck).

Her melismas are forced. I think one of them may even be out of Tune. It's not going to win any vocal competition. Definitely amateurish, and it really shows that she's limited to Broadway songs. She doesn't have the pop sensibility that other pop singers have. You can't bring your Broadway style Singing into a pop song especially one thst requires melismas. And I don't think she was resonant. She couldn't really belt the high notes and that's what you need in this song. Otherwise it just sounds like karaoke.
And that is what you call OPINION not facts. Just watch, enjoy and respect their reaction/observation. And since you have so much thing to say and act as if you know everything then might as well make your OWN reaction channel :)
For someone who dislikes Lea so much, you sure do watch a lot of her videos and even takes your sweet time commenting on every single on of them🤪 Dude, get lost! If you're THIS great and knowledgeable, then perhaps you should pursue your own dreams instead of wasting your days badmouthing Lea. The funny thing is, no matter what YOU say, none of it matters because it does not, will never, take away from her achievements. Lea is Lea, and no one can ever take that away or change it.
