Vale of Rheidol Railway - 25th July 2023

Visit to the Vale of Rheidol Railway on July 25th 2023.
Has been a couple years since my last visit, but definitely worth the wait. Finally taken a ride behind the VOR Garratt locomotive that has been a resident of the railway the last couple years.
Had a driver experience going on at Devil's Bridge which we couldn't resist doing, and was really nice to be able to do to make this visit worth it.

Had many trips behind 16's and road on some between Umzinto and Donnybrook in SA. By the time I got there all the 13's had been retired. However, many were preserved so it's good to see one obviously in great condition working. Must try and get to Aberystwyth soon.

Have you been to the Gwilli railway yet. That one’s great because they let you have a go of shovelling coal and blowing the whistle for free

The Nantyronen station is most beautifully station in this railway.
