10th August 2024 Decided to head to Starcross near Dawlish this time, I've filmed mostly at Dawlish and Exeter St David's, but have yet to of filmed any steam locos passing at Starcross. Final day in North Wales before our long journey back home to Devon. We take a trip to the Vale of Rheidol Railway for a look around the new museum, where we also find Palmerston in service on the days trains, visiting from the Ffestiniog Railway. Day 4 of our railway visits in North Wales. This time, a visit to the Fairbourne Railway, not too far from our holiday park in Harlech. The weather was a little unsettled, but, made it all the more enjoyable to ride on the railway, with 'Russell' leading our train to Barmouth, where we wait for the next train to Fairbourne, behind Darjeeling Tank Locomotive 'Sherpa'.

Day 3 of our holiday in North Wales. This visit saw us take a trip along the beautiful Welsh Highland Railway from Porthmadog to Caernarfon behind Garratt Locomotive NG143. We also had a look around the heritage Castle situated in Caernarfon before making our return trip to Porthmadog, back through the scenic hills and valleys of Snowdonia.

The Golden Hind Tour steams through Devon on July 11th 2024. Passing through Exeter St David's before stopping at Newton Abbot for water top-up. Carrying on shortly after through Totnes and on to Plymouth. The train returns later in the evening after being delayed an hour at Laira, with the return 1Z95 being headed by Class 47 'Crewe Diesel Depot' with 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' being pulled in ...

Visit to Dawlish Warren to see 60007 'Sir Nigel Gresley' on the Saphos Trains English Riviera Express heading for Kingswear from Northampton. Whilst waiting, filmed a few of the local services coming and going in between. Always lovely to see different steam locomotives on the main line here in Devon.
