Ha! Now I finally know where the first part to 'having a butchers' at something comes from, and my family is from the East End, but i just never remembered to ask ;) Butchers Hook, makes sense, before that I didn't have a Scooby Doo! Stuart.
The BushMule was always a good model, but now with the new scheme and stronger nose wheel mod certainly makes this a great allrounder for any hanger ,,,Great review 👍👍👍
Ladies and gents check out Andre's channel for a great unboxing and uniquely, a flight review from snow with the included skis. Well worth a view and subscription. Stuart.
Hi. Can we have this guy make all videos from now on instead of the other idiots at hobbyking that have no clue at all. This is the best video so far showing a product off. Keep up the great work. Love the plane btw
Just finished the assemble of my new BushMule. It has been about 5 years since I purchased a PNP plane from HK and I was hoping things had improved. I hate to be critical however, this plane is pretty low quality compared to other brands on the market. Several of the connections were mislabeled, Elevator was Rudder etc. The outer wings sections per the poorly written assemble manual, are held together with two per side, 2mm x 15 mm servo mounting screws going into light plastic material. I spent a few extra hours reinforcing with epoxy and using longer screws to insure the wings would not fly off. The airfoil sections on the landing gear was not even glued in place and fell off in shipping. Quite a bit of foam wrinkles/bubbles in mine especially on the hatch door. The Icing on the cake, while making the final travel adjustments to the Main Feature of the Plane, the Drop Hatch, the servo gears striped out. Now I will have to replace with a quality servo. Hope others have better Luck with their BushMules.
Vern, my cargo hatch servo also failed, just started making a high pitch whine and got red hot! Main wing section bolts were too big for the holes plus the outer wing screws do not go into brass threads, just into plastic. I got in touch with hobbyking but just offered an RMA which is basically send it back
@@keithbowers5548 Hey Keith, sorry you had issues too. I did hear from HK, but like you, just an invite to start their frustrating return process. I have some Metal Gear servos in my parts collection so will just replace with a quality unit. A shame, because it is a cool design just poorly executed by HK. Thanks for the response..
@@HobbyKingOfficial How about the props? I did order one with replacement spinners, but I did not see any propellers shown in the spare parts section. Thanks...
The way the plane is set up full flaps are essentially air brakes and not for take off or for slow flight. In slow flight you want the flaps to create lift.
Awesome Review Stuart. love the sound of the twin props. When my Tundra finally carks it I will have to get one. Probably V3 by then!! A mid air would of really shown just how tuff the Bushy really is though, lucky that you are a good pilot!! Cheers.
Does this plane have the cargo load the original bush mule had? That’s what made it really fun. Either way it’s a great plane and a good intermediate plane
I really like the concept of versatility and the two engines with nice sound and clear vision in FPV. One can only hope that it will remain available in the EU warehouse for a longer period and that the spare parts will also be available! Then maybe it will be a birthday present in the future.
Parts and model are in the EU Warehouse as I write this, and we're working hard to keep up on parts stock too, as we accept this has been inadequate in the past. Stuart.
Stuart have you herd of anybody using the Cargo Drop Door as a secondary Flap Air Brake? i run a big 4500 4s battery in mine and it land with a touch too much speed
I think Pilot Robert beat you to the review! Is he getting free planes from you guys?? If that's the case, send one our way! I'd love to film the hell out of Hobbyking planes!
100%, actually its very similar to the Albatross in that respect. All you'll need to do is check your CG is good using the 3S and away you go. Its WAY over powered on 4S ;) Stuart.
The new colour scheme looks good! Does the revised main landing gear position move the floats back as well (not sure if the same mounting points are used)?
Hobby King has another Fantastic looking plane ✈️ .... With the Avios BushMule V2 ...... Keep up with the Great Engineering , Quality Components & of course High Quality Assemblers . Another Winner ..!
Yes, the spare parts from previous or current versions will fit on the new or previous BushMule versions (unless otherwise stated on our product pages).
Used to love Hobbyking and the first Skymule! Spent thousands with then back in the early days. Don't use them at all now, ridiculous pricing, most frustrating website ever and they refuse to do anything about it, awful customer service, and they don't bother to stock uk warehouse. Because of the way they are, we were all force to shop elsewhere.
Stuart, perfect. This bird is really amazing. I love it. Great review my friend. Big salute from Slovenia to all RC lovers here, Pilot Robert

Sweet! The red, black and white aposematic colour scheme is one of my favorites! I'll have a butcher's hook at this. Brilliant!

I have the skymule and the bush mule v1 and they both tip stalled, how’s this one (v2) on slower turns?
Great, as you should be able to see from the video. You just need to remember to coordinate the turn with rudder and some throttle too. Stuart.
Is the field still in Long Island, New York? Or did you folks move?

could this run on a 3s instead of 4s and still have enough power?
