Nice review, thanks! I’d like you to test a flat burr hand grinder and compare it with K-Ultra. Flat burr hand grinder can be one of those 2: CafeSing Orca or Pietro.
Jaaaack, have you heard of the Mischief M40? Is kind of a chinese C40, but costing only 50-70usd and comes with red click by default. I have one and it's great. Not sure if you need another grinder hahahah, but surely would be nice to see a comparison with the K6, and other grinders.
@@mycoffeeshow111 I understand completely! And ALL their products are ripoffs. To be honest I also agree, I only have one because here in Brazil, our tax system is, well, a bit weird. A C40 costs at least 640usd converting. (yea, weird right?).
Have you tried brewing in a regular v60. I have some timemore brewers b75 and crystal eye and found the regular cheap plastic v60 gives a nice bright coffee. Not sure if the glass or ceramic v60s will be the same but ill probably get one to try since I'm not a fan of plastic plus heat!.
@@mycoffeeshow111 I don't care about overpriced fads I just want good coffee. V60 is tried and true. It's the classic for a reason. If you haven't compare a v60 with your orea. You may prefer the v60!
Hmmm, I would say the opposite, K Ultra often seems to bring up more acidic juicy flavours while C60 is more balanced. At least that’s what I experienced
@@ExtractionFaction hand grinding for espresso can be tricky, especially if you want to dial in to the specific time of extraction. I am not giving up though. Maybe if I sell C60 I will get something new.
I have the K ultra and I like it. But I heard that Comandante much better for the turkish style thanks to some floating burrs technology that they use.
I think that is Comandante's claim, Nitro burrs that never dull. Stainless steel burrs on the other hand might only last for 100-200 kilograms of coffee..
Hello thanks again for your vidéos. I had the j max and i sold it. Could you give me an advice please for only Espresso with my gaggia. Do i take the new 1zpresso j ultra or the eureka mignon zéro please. I just want to drink good Espresso until the new eureka Oro single dose plus or the new eureka Techno but they will be available for summer but i think it s what i need they look so good.
Thx for watching. Why did you sell JMax anyway? J Ultra, although I haven’t had it, will be very similar in flavour profile to J Max. Maybe try something different. Kinu Phoenix if you want hand grinder or DF54 if you are after cheap electric grinder.
Thank you, i loves m'y jmax but i m a little bit maniacal and there was some scratches on my grinder ans i saw little improves on the ultra @@mycoffeeshow111
I’m not sure I’ve seen you this … …over the top. Totally fun. For me, given the taste differences you describe (minimal), the UX differences (K-MAX external adjustment FTW) and the price difference (maximal): The K-MAX would be my winner. And that’s the choice I essentially made almost 2 years ago. Between the J-MAX and Comandante C40. Cheaper, better UX with the external adjustment, smaller changes per click, included carrying case, magnetic catch cup, etc, all made the J-MAX the far better choice for me at that time. My only “buyer’s remorse” was minor: no one quotes recipes with “clicks-on-a-J-MAX”. But they still do with the Comandante. Though, I am seeing it less and less…
@@Sportfanaat I remember that C60 narrowly won that comparison. Are you planning to buy one? I sold my since. Great tool but a bit too expensive to keep.

Awesome video like always. I’ve seen tons and tons of reviews on the other comandante’s and I see how often people say how beautiful they are. I’ve even seen someone comparing a comandante with Kinu Classic and they was saying how good looking the comandante is and that the Kinu was for the most part ugly looking compared to the comandante. I might be the only one who prefers the look of the Kinu Classic than any other grinder out there. Love the stainless steel look and of course the build quality is outstanding, so I get the best of both worlds. I love the comandante just not next to my Kinu Classic. The C60 is the best comandante so far, just hate the pink catch cup, I on now it does come with another one though. Thank you again on the video.
I bought the K ultra and I’m not disappointed yet.
One of the best multi purpose hand grinders I have tested.

Flat burrs aren't necessarily better. I've been digging my cheap conical hand grinders more than flats lately for pour over anyway.
The problem with those grinders is that they require more effort to grind so by the end of the video I would be even more pissed off 😛

The main problem of K ultra is the decreasing of acidity. As a result, some fruity beans perform better with Comandante.

I would love to see the 1Zpresso K Ultra compared with the X Pro/ultra.. They have similar burr geometry with 40mm vs. 48mm burrs.
Great idea indeed.
I understand if you don't want to keep hand grinding! There are enough other vids about hand grinders around the tube anyway. Cheers!

C60 cup has an obvious tiger tail so it has more body. Does it happen every time with c60 or just this cup in test?
This can only be said when I compare cups from different grinders which I don’t do that often.
