I used my Celestron 8 inch telescope with my Canon 60Da camera. This scope has a 2000 mm focal length. The moon was so large I had to use my focal reducer to make the moon smaller. My telescope was also able to track the moon so I was able to take longer photos without the photos being blurry. I also used a interferometer. I set it to take up to 70 photos at a time. I then adjusted the settings and took another 70 photos. This gave me time to photograph the eclipse to take photos with my other 7 cameras. I had one of the other cameras piggybacked on my scope for more guiding.
I've got a 16-35mm lens for a wide angle covering the whole eclipse in a timelapse and borrowed a 600mm lens on a second camera for the close ups. Hope we all get clear skies!
Sadly for me looks like my 9-0 streak of no clouds is coming to a end ina few days shows clouds for that day Update: all three weather places I checked so far say partly cloudy so I may have a chance not over yet 10-0
There is a partial lunar eclipse visible on 16 May, 2022. The next total lunar eclipse visible from Australia will occur in the evening of 8 November 2022. The whole of this eclipse will be visible from all of New Zealand and Australia.
Great tutorial!
Thank you so much and thanks for letting me know.
