Blind people actually regularly talk about ‘watching’ a movie or ‘seeing’ a show, or went out of town to ‘see’ a friend. Just like heard of hearing/death people might say that they are ‘listing’ to you or a speech. Because you know it’s just how people say those things, using non conforming language requires a conscious effort. Most people do also listen to a movie when they are watching it. We just generally mean we have consumed it when we say that, and so the sentiment, what we actually mean is exactly the same. And it also might confuse people if you say that you listened to Derrens latest show, they might think it’s a podcast or on the wireless. That said people should actually try echolocation. It’s super cool! What he is doing in the video is active echolocation (where you actively make your own sounds) and there is also passive echolocation (where you relay on the environments own sounds). Without training you still can do more then you actually think, most seeing people just aren’t used to relaying on it or putting so much effort into it. Just from the way sound bounces around from passive echolocation in an entirely dark room with a blindfold you will probably be able to tell if you are about to walk into a wall, and be able to tell say a concrete wall from a wall covered in drapes ( like say big thick curtains). Our ears and brain is pretty great at picking up a sound landscape. That’s why those surround/3D headphone sound illusions on the internet can be so incredibly convincing. You don’t just hear a waterfall or a person talking in your headphones. You can sort of sense the shape of it and pretty exactly where it is behind you and how far away it is. It takes a lot of training like the guy in the video, but you can if you just train get this pretty astounding sense and sort of feel/sense/hear this 3D landscape around you very quickly like he does with great detail. This is not like many of the very dodgy things Derren tends to include in the shows. This is actually scientifically documented and repeatable. And can successfully be replicated in a lab environment, in a number of different way. And a relatively a common technique taught to people who are blind or have very impaired sight (but not legally blind) that wish to learn it. It takes a lot of effort, and different people lives look differently, people need different things so different people who are blind go for different solutions. Many blind people do not want or find it particularly to have a guide dog, while others find it absolutely necessary and love it for them and their life. The guy in the video is very good. He probably could bike in a new environment with quite a bit of traffic and be totally fine.
I was in New York at the time this was uploaded, and I'm in Mexico a couple of weeks later watching it from my bedroom for the first time. I drew concentric circles, because of her eyes, and a lightbulb, and parallel lines. Amazing.
Did anyone notice that there were a lot of circles in the background of the picture and even parts of the foreground? The yellow-orange background wall has red circles, sort of concentric, on it with pictures in them, even the zeros in the 100 are circles with pictures in them. The banister in the foreground has circles in it also.
zarkoff45 there are also pi shapes everywhere when you realize what derren is doing with suggestion...circles and pi for days haha...quite successful tho!
Good call! That must be it. He did say that he would hopefully get a more precise result than the US remote viewer, but said with confidence it would not involve anything supernatural. Also I’m rewatching right now. A box on top of a circular wooden stage with “bricks”.
So we're zoomed in on her (lovely) eyes when told to draw, and he does say "draw rings" rather than "drawings", suggesting concentric circles. He also calls the event "great big" and the chaps carrying the white case "big and strong", suggesting Stonehenge. But jeez..... I'm still miles off how this is done!
To add on to this, here is what I think explains the audiences choice, listen to 12:30 where he talks about the light in her face and then also watch at 14:24, you can clearly see there is a circle light that is lighting up her face and it his shown in her eyes. When people look at her face to get some kind of clue they see the set of concentric circles because they look at her eyes. The very long and close shot on her face, along with the music was very dramatic and it's kinda obvious now after the thought. At 14:33 it is a big closeup with her ring eyes and the words "Draw Now" are on the screen, which cues people to draw her ring eyes. That explains why some people were spot on and some werent even close, because some people picked up on the cue from the eyes. Also watch at 15:50, you heard the phrase "Big and Strong" but did you also notice the very strange way that they picked up the box? The way the two men held the boxes resembles the stone structures. But they pick up the box after the crowd that was there put their drawings in. So my only guess as to how he got some of the people in the mueseum audience to think of Stonehedge was at 14:05 when he mentions the British Isles and makes a series of remarks about locations which get smaller and smaller leading to the location of the painting, which also gets people to think about circles again. As for Katie picking Stonehedge and the circles, Stonehedge is a series of concentric circles, look where they meet at 10:10, right behind them is a bridge that looks like a piece of Stonehedge structure. Also notice how you dont get a good view of Derren's hands too much in the shot when he is explaining Katie what to do? I think he was drawing the image in the air. Also the water ripples in the river might have something to do with it. All in all, there was A LOT of work put into this and there are probably more suggestions in there.

EmotionIce Because It would cost thousands of dollars for Aaron to go to the UK just to see one show, which is ridiculous when Derren could put on a show that thousands of Australians would benefit from, for minimal cost.
Discovered Derren Brown in English 111 researching a paper on Edward Bernays and propaganda in America. One of the few performers that I desperately want to see love one day. Incredible talent!
Wanted to draw a circle first, but knew it's what Derran wanted - as evident by the close up shot of her eyes with circular lights reflecting off her circular eyes.
Keeping an "eye" on proceedings, immediately before the full-screen shot of Katie's eyes lit in such a way as to highlight the concentric rings...how very clever. The light they used is even circular to make the extra ring in her pupil. Not to mention the circle pattern on the railings and the circular logos on the far wall. Very clever indeed.
Yeaaa, but, you must admit if they were pulling for that they'd have already broken their set rules of not knowing themselves what was being done. I mean, Darren's ploy seemed more to be focused around the viewers at home being suggested than those who attempted to authentically remote view. Whatever the home reporting was the answer they got from those present isn't expected.
I remember being 9 and drawing a house and being proper gutted it didn't work. But we were all impressed when we got our newspaper out and saw the classified ad in the paper!
Thank you for full episodes so I can watch in the USA. With James Randi old and retired, I need to watch somebody keep the rip off artist on their toes.
the thing with the remote viewing guy where he said "wet like" was just a spot of genius. he spent all of 12 seconds looking up the weather and realising this is england everything is wet
@Time Warp so youre saying it could happen to you ? If you were having coffee by yourself on random days outside.. that literally can happen to you? I know the hes fascinating but for a second have you thought thats its still a TV show afterall and im not disproving his other acts im only saying this particular act.. not a single skepticism hit you? And i do regard him as world best hypnotist/magician/mentalist. But come on...
Good catch! I can't explain why the vastly different color but I took screen prints and even the pleats in her blouse lines up in both shots. I doubt that could happen if they reshot the scene. Look again.
When this started i was thinking along the lines of a boat. Starting with the triangles of the hull and sails. Then i got the idea of a window, classic rectangles. I thrn thought of the window on a boat, classic porthole, a small circle within a big circle with other circles inside the outer ring. Not concentric circles like the picture but just like the window of the box the lady was sitting in at stone henge
I started with a boat too. He starts the episode by the docks where there is a boat and a bridge with triangular designs. Then there were plenty of circles throughout the episode. Pretty good guess though with the porthole.
Very simple why 35% drew concentric circles. Darren himself says at 13:25 "we are going to focus very in on your eyes..." and if u take a look at her eyes they ARE concentric circles. Especially when her face takes up the entire screen! This IS THE POWER OF SUGGESTION, plain and simple.
When the program just started and he said for us to participate to start drawing what she painted. I drew the exact bridge they met at and even the water and trees to the exact little bit of building peeking from the top of the trees on the left side. FYI
It took me just a couple of minutes in until I figured out what Derren wanted me to draw. LOL I thought of a circle pretty much straight away. Then I couldn't stop seeing them everywhere in the program. XD
There were also concentric circles scattered all across the science museum (on railing + pictures on wall + wheels of hanging motorcycle), including the zoom in of her eyes which are obviously concentric circles.
10:48 Asking her to change her mind a few times seems to be a phrase that he often repeats when telling people to draw things that he is later able to guess. Any ideas about why it might be important? I think it eliminates logical reasoning from the decision making process which makes it more likely that you will let your subconscious mind in which a suggestion has been planted by him to be the part of you that is making the final decision about what to draw. I am not 100% convinced by my explanation and am willing to entertain other possibilities.
Yeah it's hard to think of new ideas quickly so once you start changing from your initial thought you're more likely to go with something that has been suggested. Putting pressure on yourself to come up with something 'new' after what you first thought of is more likely to end up in some suggestion he planted.
The big box with "bricks" is put on a false stage. So they used magnets to make it feel heavy and most likely reverse polarity to get it to be extra light. I saw how this trick was done in another show. The French could pick it up but the other country could not. So the didn't go to war based on the French being stronger. I wish I knew how some of the other stuff was done. Great show.
I would love for Derren to do something to me, as I have seen every programme and show he has done, but some of the things he does, especially hypnosis, I am a little sceptical. I would totally believe it if something like that were done to me. I love Derren Brown's work and I can't wait for his next project. The 2 shows on Netflix were brilliant!
Hypnosis seems to need willing participants. Like children being commanded into a fear state where they feel like they have to obey for self preservation. You don't think; you just follow orders. Society leaves us with a lot of anxiety and a kind of guilt. And hypnosis allows the participants to surrender control to an authority figure. Some might even slip into a dream like brain pattern, and that may be why they cannot consciously recollect the hypnotic experience. I have a feeling this is the same sort of state for music concerts, dance, sports, religion, political rallies, and self help seminars.
10.37 Derren says "draw the curtians" Which resembles stonehenge. Camera zooms in to Katies eyes, Derren says "focus, draw rings". Also Derren constantly says "see". Both men removing the box of drawings also resembling stone henge. Refers to the british isle and other landmarks that have stone henge.
37:39 Daniel is truly amazing! He is like the real Daredevil! I am speechless! (good thing I can wright :D) To bad, he can´t read this comment. But if someone get the chance to tell him how awesome he is, please do!
Many blind or low-vision users have screen readers, so he can probably read comments (via his computer software) just as well as anyone else. (Faster, even, my blind friends usually kicked theirs up to 4 or 5 times the speed sighted people read. They can fly through information very quickly.)
On second quick viewing: Circles on the wall behind the painting... circles on the metal barriers... painting wrapped in newspaper... "hidden design" and points upwards... 1st trick with box of bricks (stones)... supper zoom in on the curator's eyes (3 circles)... persisting on reading her mind which probably reinforces looking deeper into her eyes.. instructions: imagine image of British Isles (eyes?) on a sheet of paper, like a "newspaper", next image of south of England, next sheet .. (forcing the mind to adopt a birds-view image and also getting pretty close to the location of the Stonehenge) ... see through the eyes ... we flew him over... Dr. Carr: "gazing circular stones on top of each other" > DB: "this lead to Dr. Carr entering her body in an act he calls blending".. . the picture Dr Carr picks out also looks vaguely like Stonehenge ... DB: you can take any landmark in London or any historic city and you can kind of make it fit.. . ... and lots of weird words and ways to pronounce certain words but I couldn't figure out what he's trying to do
Spoilers: 1:55 Here he says "something to rest on". An odd way to say "a flat surface" unless you are hinting at Stonehenge. When both start lifting the box, they formed a structure like Stonehenge.. then he mentions it comes crashing down.. reading too much into that? 8:10 "circular" belief. 8:52 look at with a different perspective After 12:10 we start hearing "eyes" frequently. "Eyes" and "eyes-olation tank" (duping delight on his face the first time he says that one). Throughout the video i hear the word "bearing", like to bear weight. Possible suggestion: 13:28 "We'll focus closely in on your eyes.." "..thinking of things it looks like or resembles" At about 14:10 he asks everyone to imagine the British isles. Stonehenge. As mentioned by others, he often says "draw rings" instead of drawings. I'll stop there. I think we see how this goes.
SPOILER ALERT COMMENT: Luvvin the subliminal visuals. The old USSR flag, the necklace with the circles with the big circle in the middle, the spotlights, the words '...OO' in the background.
Good day Mr Brown I am Nozizwe and just turned 20. I am obsessed with a couple of your videos, specifically the one where you predicted the lottery seven years ago🔥🔥. I am always playing and keeping track of numbers because I would love to win something as big that and financial freedom. Anyways, it is said that the France lottery is the easiest lottery to win and 1 in 6 people have a chance to win. Do you think by any chance you could predict the numbers?
usually when i watch Derren Brown's shows and when he primes people using language it doenst work on me (english isnt my my native tongue) but it s the second time i watch this episode and the both time, i got trick to see a circle from the very start ^^ so i guess i was receptive to the visual cues used for mister Derren Brown in this one
*SHE GAVE IT ALL AWAY!* 44:24 Just kidding. She may not have give it *_"ALL"_* away but her micro expression of a suppressed smile & his smiling & repeated down cast eyes reveals concentric circles may have a connection. Now I'll finish watching the end.
I'm in atlanta, GA and did not see the paper. I drew concentric circles, triangles, and diamonds. My circles had 4 columns drawn on the side. I wrote the word BIRD at an angle to the bottom right corner of the circles, exactly the same direction Katie wrote her capital letter initials. Woah.
They focus in on the eyes when told to imagine what the drawing might be. This to me explains why people came up with circles. As for the Stonehenge part, i have no idea.
If you remember Derren was getting people to visualise a place, and the. Take you to the museum, if people are thinking of circles then thinking of places it might connect the two, there also might of been other things in the museum pointing people to that, and at a guess Derren has somehow planted the idea of Stonehenge into her mind before she drew
So many circles everywhere right from the opening. Even the woman's eyes are ring-lit while they zoom-in on them. The "O" in DRAW NOW is drawn as a circle. Haven't reached the end, but it's circles right? EDIT: Yay :)
The remote viewer was such a joke lol. If I was in London, I could draw words and shapes on 100 pages too and find something to fit. I'm surprised he didn't say she was near windows, doors, and cars, lol. Funny though, he never brought up being "in" her body with her legs dangling.....hmmmm.. forgetting the misses there?
What's interesting is that as an American, watching this video in 2022, without any of the conditioning that they had, I drew first a Scotty Dog and then a red flag on a flag pole. It's just interesting, because I felt disappointed that I didn't think of Stonehenge or concentric circles (our brain's response to wanting to be part of a crowd or to feel special) AND now, having watched the video the image that is kinda stuck in my head is her eye with the ring light reflecting in it forming concentric circles.
Bloody weird! What was subliminally shown regarding horses I wonder.. because it the first thing I drew was a horse and the second thing I drew was just one big circle. Except, I live in Melbourne, Australia.. so if there's NOTHING 'Psychic', and 'remote viewing' isn't real at all, how/why is it that when looking in her eyes I first thought *horse* which was the first? thing they said and Derren even made a comment (when the guy said there's lots/quite a few? HORSES) .. saying "any cats or dogs" etc (No). Regarding the circle I then drew, I just saw this for the first time, so didn't see any London/English Newspapers. I lived in England in 1987-1989, but that can't have anything to do with it. So hmm, great show.. LOVE DERREN BROWN. I'm a fellow 'Brownie' myself! Lots of us, lol. Still, 're *ME* drawing horse, then circle, here in lockdown in Melbourne, Australia.... WTF!! ??????????? Didn't get stuck to my chair watching a different one of Derren's last nigh, but apparently that wouldn't work over the internet due to different resolution.. ?? 😊✌🐨 TRULY BIZARRE!!!
Amongst other things, his podium was a circle. And the crowd surrounded him in another circle, too. They also had a close up of her eyes (iris and pupil firm concentric circles) though tbf that was quite late in the show.
Well, doing this at home on t'internet three years after it was posted and I drew....lots of circles. For some reason, wanted to turn them into oranges and draw an outside scene.

And the slow motion o in draw now
Yeaaa, but, you must admit if they were pulling for that they'd have already broken their set rules of not knowing themselves what was being done.
I mean, Darren's ploy seemed more to be focused around the viewers at home being suggested than those who attempted to authentically remote view.
Whatever the home reporting was the answer they got from those present isn't expected.
With a "Big Bang" ....."Alakazam" (wink wink)
Master Romyyy🔥🔥🔥
Sesepuh mentalis indo
I remember being 9 and drawing a house and being proper gutted it didn't work. But we were all impressed when we got our newspaper out and saw the classified ad in the paper!
Darren is the Number 1 Brilliant Man in This Planet Ever !
Three circles reflected in her eyes - he specifically made them look into her eyes
I just want to see more of that sleeper agent stuff. Incredible
typical derrren twist at the end. great fun
beautiful
Thank you for full episodes so I can watch in the USA. With James Randi old and retired, I need to watch somebody keep the rip off artist on their toes.
the thing with the remote viewing guy where he said "wet like" was just a spot of genius. he spent all of 12 seconds looking up the weather and realising this is england everything is wet
I'm on board with him debunking psychics but I don't believe for one minute that he hypnotized that guy to steal the TV.
Yup.. if that was possible we all could be easily fall victims to it.. its a tv show after all
Darren Brown is a trained Hypnotist
Shery love trust me he hypnotised that dude
@Time Warp so youre saying it could happen to you ? If you were having coffee by yourself on random days outside.. that literally can happen to you? I know the hes fascinating but for a second have you thought thats its still a TV show afterall and im not disproving his other acts im only saying this particular act.. not a single skepticism hit you? And i do regard him as world best hypnotist/magician/mentalist. But come on...
@Time Warp lol. Ure a troll. Good day
I love the instrumental music in the background it makes it more interesting to watch and listen
Darren Brown is epic, love this guy 💜💜💜
I only listened to this episode and I also drew concentric circles. Wow.
34:43 the girls shirt changes from pink to gray in the back
Yes it changes. All of this is a scam imo
WTF. Grey to pink, and then grey again.
Not pre-recorded? Yeah right..
it suggested that they reshot the scene.
Good catch! I can't explain why the vastly different color but I took screen prints and even the pleats in her blouse lines up in both shots. I doubt that could happen if they reshot the scene. Look again.
you have some sixth sense to notice such a small detail.
Loved this years ago and it's the perfect tool to try and unwinde before this horrid work shift I'm 'bout to be thrown into :')
XD
The Circles and Stonehenge are obvious when you look back, but you'll never convince me the guy stealing the TV was genuine
yeah no way
There were also concentric circles scattered all across the science museum (on railing + pictures on wall + wheels of hanging motorcycle), including the zoom in of her eyes which are obviously concentric circles.
10:48
Asking her to change her mind a few times seems to be a phrase that he often repeats when telling people to draw things that he is later able to guess.
I agree, including the final sentence.
Yeah it's hard to think of new ideas quickly so once you start changing from your initial thought you're more likely to go with something that has been suggested. Putting pressure on yourself to come up with something 'new' after what you first thought of is more likely to end up in some suggestion he planted.
How much time did you spend to prepare this one episode.? Marvelous.
Great show.
dose hypnosis ring a bell? genius?
Derren is excellent but that pricila is outstanding too... That was awesome.
How awesome of you to post the full episode on your official channel!
It's truly scary that some people can be mirrored and then given suggestions. Makes you wonder how often this might happen.
Scary or simply untrue?
He’s a magician. Tv shows are edited. We don’t know what was going on entirely.
@@RaveyDavey I've been to three of his shows, so scary yes.
Today is Feb 14, 2024. I watched and drew Stonehenge. Im from the Philippines. 🇵🇭This is amazing! I did not picture his painting. I heard her “head”
I wonder how many derren browns were burned at the stake all those years ago...
Thank you Derren !
Love all your work !
I say it is a copy of the drawing made by Jakie Treehorn (that the Dude found) in the Big Lebowski.
37:39 Daniel is truly amazing! He is like the real Daredevil! I am speechless! (good thing I can wright :D)
To bad, he can´t read this comment. But if someone get the chance to tell him how awesome he is, please do!
*write
Many blind or low-vision users have screen readers, so he can probably read comments (via his computer software) just as well as anyone else. (Faster, even, my blind friends usually kicked theirs up to 4 or 5 times the speed sighted people read. They can fly through information very quickly.)
As always excellent! He is amazing!!
I think it's going to be a coordinates from off of this planet of a place in time
Lmao everytime i watch derren videos i get a psyhic ads
i love Derrens work , just saying the cafe scene looks a little fake
On second quick viewing:
Circles on the wall behind the painting... circles on the metal barriers... painting wrapped in newspaper... DB: you can take any landmark in London or any historic city and you can kind of make it fit.. .
... and lots of weird words and ways to pronounce certain words but I couldn't figure out what he's trying to do
Derren your amazing mate really are 🙏🧡
Spoilers:
1:55 Here he says "something to rest on". An odd way to say "a flat surface" unless you are hinting at Stonehenge.
When both start lifting the box, they formed a structure like Stonehenge.. then he mentions it comes crashing down.. reading too much into that?
8:10 "circular" belief.
8:52 look at with a different perspective
After 12:10 we start hearing "eyes" frequently. "Eyes" and "eyes-olation tank" (duping delight on his face the first time he says that one).
Throughout the video i hear the word "bearing", like to bear weight.
Possible suggestion: 13:28 "We'll focus closely in on your eyes.." "..thinking of things it looks like or resembles"
At about 14:10 he asks everyone to imagine the British isles. Stonehenge.
As mentioned by others, he often says "draw rings" instead of drawings.
I'll stop there. I think we see how this goes.
SPOILER ALERT COMMENT:
Luvvin the subliminal visuals. The old USSR flag, the necklace with the circles with the big circle in the middle, the spotlights, the words '...OO' in the background.
Good day Mr Brown
I am Nozizwe and just turned 20.
"Wait... no she's not at... damn you Derren!"
I came here to see Remote Viewing and got an ad for Tena Man Active Pants.
Lol everyone drawing circles made me think of Junji Ito
this guy & his channel is awesome!
usually when i watch Derren Brown's shows and when he primes people using language it doenst work on me (english isnt my my native tongue) but it s the second time i watch this episode and the both time, i got trick to see a circle from the very start ^^ so i guess i was receptive to the visual cues used for mister Derren Brown in this one
Getting dude to jack the TV was wild yo! I need to get my mind control and remote viewing game up 😆 lol
Wow, Katie has some beautiful eyes.
Totally!
Ahhhh...the fun of Psychotronics. Never gets old. Never gets dull.
"Don't look at me - no eye contact."
Wow... picked the right career.
That's to gauge suggestabilty anyone who looks at him won't fall for his suggestions
Where did he say that?
*SHE GAVE IT ALL AWAY!* 44:24
Just kidding.
Woah.
I don't think enough people are talking about 'The Bat Man' - wow!
Well I must be magic because I am watching this in 2018 and live in America and never seen the newspaper.
It's misdirection, Derren already knew what she had drawn.
The portrait artist has me completely baffled.
I love this man see in Norwich tour 2018 yay ❤️
i love this
What's interesting is that as an American, watching this video in 2022, without any of the conditioning that they had, I drew first a Scotty Dog and then a red flag on a flag pole.
😊✌🐨
TRULY BIZARRE!!!
My drawing was the container she was in, crazy?
Amongst other things, his podium was a circle. And the crowd surrounded him in another circle, too. They also had a close up of her eyes (iris and pupil firm concentric circles) though tbf that was quite late in the show.
I drew 2 circles one within the other, and on the outer circle was small rectangular shapes sticking out like stones in a circle.
Well, doing this at home on t'internet three years after it was posted and I drew....lots of circles. For some reason, wanted to turn them into oranges and draw an outside scene.
i hate you so much derren for being such a genius
i drew Pi 3.14 spooky how some saw stonehenge from above and we the column pi people saw it from ground level!!!! chills
36:39time She is SOOOOO utterly a true English lassie, so adorable and like the swag Austin Powers, she has, without a doubt, the cutest English girl teeth Ive ever seen!!!! This is amazing
What are you saying about English dentistry?!! ;) ..You like a small overbite then? Or is it an underbite? I can never remember...
@@tomr1056 LOL!! Im laughing so hard right now.....
how is Derren Brown NOT the most famous and celebrated person today? He is awesome.
Thank you for the upload Derren always a pleasure. I would of drawn a phone. I assumed you used similar techniques your followers learn from the show with the lucky dog.
Is the remote viewing guy the same one from Penn and Teller's 'Bullshit'?
