Doc, six months ago I found your channel but I haven’t seen a new video of yours since today. I subbed but you never appear in my feed. I’ve even liked all your videos. I set up an alert so I won’t miss out. TH-cam has been throttling gun content for some time now.
That’s awful. Thank you so much for bringing it to my attention. I have a Facebook page that I do post my videos on, (DoctorTactical). Maybe I should promote it as way to notify everyone when a new video is dropped. I’m really glad to hear that you are enjoying the videos!!
Good video. I would still go with the Glock 19 just because I am used to it and trust it. Just bought a Glock 20 to defend myself and my Audi. Not for „concealed carry“ though but to carry in my bag. PS No offense, but so glad you did not take your clothes off. 😊
Try a Vedder Protuck for the P229 Legion SAO. I use this on a daily basis to carry mine year round. Super comfortable at 3-3:30 for all-day use. I'm not the right body type to carry appendix, so it is what it is. 😮
Really nice videos, like your style and taste. How about the Alpha Foxtrot 1911 - s15? Isn't it comparable with these guns too? Would love to hear (and perhaps see) your opinion on that. Thanks!
The Foxtrot compares well. I have a CS, sfx9 3.25, had a 229 legion, and had a foxtrot. The Foxtrot shoots the best out of the bunch. Just not as refined as the Wilson. I couldn’t get used to the grip though. It’s similar to Wilson but the ergonomics make the Wilson work better for me. The slide on the foxtrot is butter. It’s a very nice gun for 1500 or so dollars
Hi, Nice comparison video, I have the CS set up just as yours. I also have a Wilson Combat SFX9, with 3.25” barrel. As of today, the WC is my edc. Both are fantastic guns.
Congratulations on Shot Show I am sure you will have a blast! With that being said, in your video, you said you carry in a Smart Carry holster, is that how you always carry? If so, do you carry everyday? It is odd to me that a doctor would carry in their everyday life.....and I am not sure why that is odd to me.
I occasionally use the Smart Carry. I know that I should have one gun that I train with and carry routinely, to help establish familiarity and muscle memory, but, partially because of my TH-cam reviews and partially because I’m constantly in search of that Perfect carry gun, I frequently mix it up. I own more than 50 conceal carry style holsters…and for them too, I am constantly searching for the ultimate conceal carry version. I think that the reason you find it odd for a doctor to carry in everyday life is because most doctors have to present cleanly and neatly, which usually translates into tucked in, non baggy attire, which makes concealed carry much more difficult. I, like many of my doctor friends, carry wherever and whenever I legally can. Thank you for taking the time to comment.
I think you are a fellow Marylander (if I heard correctly). If so, you’ve probably experienced the hurdles it sometimes takes to own the latest guns. Appreciate your reviews.
I also believe the fluted barrels help with dissipation of heat. From what I've read, bull barrels function to handle heat better than standard thickness barrels. Hot barrels lose accuracy after X number of rounds. Fluting increases surface area to bleed off the heat as well.
Very nice comparison. I’m debating between the CS and the EDC 3.25. I would have liked to have your opinion on your choice of a carry gun after you wore them for a week or so. But nice video.
Thank you. It really means a lot to hear that you enjoyed the video. I think it's probably a good thing that I did not have the chance to walk around with the EDC...because I would definitely be poorer...granted, not for at least 14 months, but poor just the same 😉
Okay, you’re throwing me a little with the wording of your question…but the answer is…it depends on its use. I would take the C2 or the CS over the P229 Legion SAO for conceal carry for 2 reasons: 1) they carry better on my frame and 2) safety, all 3 of these guns are designed to carry cocked and locked and they all have thumb safeties, only the Staccatos have a grip safety, which definitely makes me feel safer. As for which one I shoot better…hands down, the P229.
I found the EDC to have a little less kick than the CS, although both are quite impressive considering their size (and the CS has a 0.25" longer barrel). I think that the ergos were a bit better on the EDC, giving me better overall control and helping to better mitigate muzzle flip.
Enjoying my SFX9 3.25, small, accurate tac driver and reliable so far at 1,200 rounds 0 issues.
I think you are only going to love it more and more as time goes on😎

That looks really nice. Thanks for the recommendation.
Good honest video comp, and I agree 100% that if you can afford the wilson, it shoots and feels better than any other 2011
How about a Staccato CS holsters review
That actually is coming…stay tuned😎

@@DrTac Thanks for the reply Doc! I am liking the channel, keep up the good work!
As a man who enjoys fine cinema, I thank you for keeping your clothes on, matter of fact that coat could use one more button. lol
LOL!! Next time, I may wear a sweater either under or over the coat😉
haha, I just found your videos a few days ago and been enjoying them. Keep up the good work!@@DrTac

Yup, I've been known to enjoy crabs and hate the Roster!! I'm glad you enjoy the reviews, thank you for commenting.
Have you shot the CS with different grain rounds? Wondering which would be better
I fed her 115, 124, and 147 grains. I fed her FMJ and hollow point. I did not feed her any +P’s. She ran everything flawlessly.
I also believe the fluted barrels help with dissipation of heat. From what I've read, bull barrels function to handle heat better than standard thickness barrels. Hot barrels lose accuracy after X number of rounds. Fluting increases surface area to bleed off the heat as well.
makes perfect sense.

If you had to choose between the C2 (not c2) and the Sig p229 Legion sao, which would you choose (price not a factor)?

how is the recoil on edc compared to the cs?

4k 14 months 😂
I hear ya brother. I guess the market is what the market is🙄
