Press the MENU >>> and then look for CLEAR SETTING >>> then click CLEAR ALL CAMERA SETTING. After that, go back to MENU >>> look for AUTO POWER OFF >>> then choose DISABLE. Everything will bring back to good as new. If all of this doesn't works on you, then try this... Maybe your proximity sensor (the infra-red used sensor for detecting whether the user is looking into the finder) was blocked by the dislocated eye cup. Eye cup is the black silicone cover of the viewfinder. Maybe it was loosened from its palce which makes it blocked the sensor. By that, the camera may thought that you are looking through the viewfinder which makes the screen black. Try adjusting or placing the eye cup properly. Slide it off and insert it back again properly. And see if it works. And if this still doesn't work. Change your memory card or remove it. It maybe the problem.

Hey ya. Am using canon 200d Mark 2 . One small issue am having. When shooting video with live mode it will automatically focus the subject which is in frame. But now it's not working. And if I touch the subject on screen also not working. When taking photos with live mode if I touch the subject in frame it's focusing.
I recommend you to went to a camera technician for that issue. Having to have a problem about camera focus is hard. Make a check for your camera as soon as possible.

Hi, Even I was facing same issue in Canon 200D. If any one facing the same issue then you may also try by Going to Shooting settings >> Enable 'Live View Shoot'. This should resolve the issue.

Did you try to check your eye cap? If it is good and still not working, then try reset the camera setting, clean your lens. And if it is still not working then try to bring it in the camera store.

If you connect your camera through the HDMI output to a monitor you can access all the menu options :-)

It works on my canon 1500d but when I use A+ mode I encounter same issue again and again I guess i have to replace the memory card
