- Arma Reforger doesn't have a single player campaign, but in this short session I play the Conflict game mode solo.
I will be adding some footage from multiplayer soon.

This just need the posibility to buy troops for yourself and give em basic orders like "move there" or "follow me". Or maybe just the posibility to use game master for spawning you reinforcements. With that, the game would have a viable single player scenario to mess around.

For being pre alpha this is blowing me away. I’m loving my experience with this so far.
Yeah it's pretty good, but there are issues.
I have mostly server issues, being kicked of the game after 10-20 min over and over again. But when it works it's pretty awesome having modern mechanics and performance in an Arma title

dude i am both a pc and console player (Mainly pc) so i want to try this with some of my console friends but i havent played a game like this and im super pumped.
Damn the first 7 minutes was pretty intense
The sound this time is definitely better than vanilla ARMA 3. I love it

I wear the headphone and i really thought that the fly just swooped over my head 9/10 sound design it's not final so i will holding off on giving full score lol
does foliage actually conceal you from AI now? In previous games I always just turned all the grass off because it would block my view but the AI could see right through it.
So far, my experience is that yes, foliage does conceal you from the AI.
To be honest this looks great. I've only recently bought Arma 3 because there's so much to do. (I got a bit bored of ground branch as there is limited stuff to do).
I'm 50/50 on this as a solo player. I'll probably need to wait a bit longer for more user generated content (scenarios)
You missed Arma 2, I loved the campaign, and the PMC dlc. It's not only pew pew toward bad guys. There is many thing to do in Arma 3, but I found multiplayer a little repetitive and too slow (walking simulator). Especially when it comes to infinite base capture like in Ghost recon or AC.
I would love if I could have a good AI team with me. I love ARMA, but I don’t play with any friends, or any groups.
try arma antistasi its very good for a solo player
Antistasi is pretty hard, best played with a group.

It's the first BIS game that FEELS like OFP 2,
rather than another (really good) mil-sim, made from the carcass of OFPs engine

Finally a solo game in Reforger! I want to learn the game before jumping into online as I wouldn't know what to do so any AUS servers you know off? Anyway, I've started making headways I love the way mods are done to just download and done! . Cheers mate...

Hey, I was just wondering if you can make a video about adding ai? Like for playing on a local server by ur self. Also, Do u know of any mods where the AI can act like players, attacking and defending objectives? I'm fairly new to this game, and I cannot find any information about my questions.
Currently in reforger there is no such feature. It will come though.
I'm running on ultra settings with brilliant fps of around 75 👍
Still having trouble configuring my keybindings, can't bind mouse buttons and double tap 🙄
Nice. It is very early days, binding things and changing settings it going to be a challenge.
This has a lot of potential so many good things going for it for ages I looked for mods that added one in the chamber weapon handling it’s here I also looked for bullet holes it’s here I also wanted 3D picture in pic sights it’s here. The game looks stunning and runs fantastic I really hope they flesh out the sp with some updates I hope they do.
There is actually "one in the chamber" in vanilla already. It allows for tactical reloads. You can see when your mag is empty, but there's still a bullet in the chamber, so when you reload at that point (or when the mag still has bullets in) you don't lose the bullet and your avatar does not pull on the charging handle. You don't need a mod for that.

Is it possible to create a team at the base and command them to engage some targets? Or will they just hang around at base and defend it?
Reforger hasn't added controllable AI yet.
From what I've learned, commanding AI teammates is on the roadmap, not sure how soon it would be
Idk if the mod was available at the time of this video but you can download a mod that lets you see where you are on the map, it's called "where am I"

At 1:18 Is a vehicle I'm familiar with. The one in the game is a M151A2 but I drove an earlier model, M151A1. We had a saying about it, "M151A1, o i think i c 1" I know, stupid but it passed a bit of time.
Is there a way you can play this privately with a friend?
Is there any way to save the progress in this mini single player campaign?

Progress is per server. So if you are a Corporal on a server you regularly play on, you'll retain that rank next time you join that server. If you join another server you'll not have that rank.

i just download the game with my 1060 6gb runs quite well on high 60fps 1080p the game is so well optimized!!!
Yes it runs very smoothly. They have done a great job with it.
On the US side everyone can hear channel 48 without having to be on it. It is like the “side chat” channel. I believe it is 32 for the soviets

Yes I understand. I was wearing the uniform in the 80’s, just didn't expect there to be no map indications of location at all.
I suppose landmarks help you orient yourself, but how are you supposed to know the specific distance you travel?
Like the voice said: "Team, move 100 meters left". How would you know what's 100 meters?
Each town and village has signs, there are also some landmarks on the map to assist in orientation. 100m: imagine a football field, which is 100m long. First orientate yourself on the map by checking ground, get a compass bearing to where you want to go, estimate distance and off you go.

@@ceetruth4709 not at this stage. It's early in the release, so I'd expect some control over NPC in the near future. Currently there is NPC on both sides which protect bases, but they can't be given commands.

How can I order people to move?? I’ve been trying to find an answer and I can’t find one! Im on console and can’t order AI
It's not something you can do yet.
Just a shame in SP mode you cant add AI to your group
That'll surely come with further updates. Remember, this is a platform for testing an development. It's not Arma 4, it's for them to work out what Arma 4 will be.
I think the developers said in an interview that an order system will come in late updates to reforger

I believe your progress is saved on each server, but don't quote me on that...

Yes. You can play both single player and, pvp and cooperative missions pve.
That inventory system needs cleaning up badly 😅 It took me 5 minutes to work out how to take ammo

The ui is pc based, it'll change I hope I know pubg was a mod for arma but that's terrable trash this is vastly better lol

I'm single player, at this stage, I don't think there is. It's early access and only just released so stay tuned for them to update regularly.

I never had a crash but returned the game until I get a new pc cause my pc will explode trying to run Arma 4 when it comes out one day
Get a series x and you can play it on that, and with Microsoft you buy it on xbox you'll own both pc and xbox versions lol good times pcs are great there just a pain to keep running and update lol

Select scenarios instead of multiplayer.
I'm not trying to sound dumb man, I'm at work and not by my xbox, but you mean like theres different battles kinda like how arma 2 and 3 had scenarios of little missions? God I hope you dont take me for a idior
@@iamarbiter6469 pretty sure its just a conquest style scenario. there will be A LOT of stuff modded in guaranteed. your only limitation on xbox will be your storage size imo.

I played solo the other day and got rolled on by a squad of Russian AI lol they surround me in a house I swear they could see me through the walls because I had sneaked into the house and was in a back room and they started shooting from the front at me in the back 😆 needless to say I didn't make it out alive and it doesn't load the enemies on the binoculars either which is crap because you can't tell where they are until your on top of them
Tbh I really don't like how you can carry two primary weapons. It's going to promote people to do exactly what you did and just carry a sniper and M16, pretty much making dedicated roles pointless. I hope they take that out.
I'm also not a huge fan of it. It reeks of PUBG, and I hate that crap.

Yes. They are AI.
If this actually works out, (and I can only imagine that even if BIS fuck it up (as they are wont to do, on occasion) Modders will rescue it in the end)

Do the AI help you? Do they follow your commands? I have reforger but not really tried it yet as it said its more for multiplayer and my mom said i cant play online because there is bad language and they talk about dirty things,she thinks the devil made console games..true story
At this stage there doesn't seem to be a way to command the AI. And your Mom is probably right :)

This game is so boring that I almost fell asleep. You have no mission and you go around and kill people in an empty city.
The mission tasks are to capture the points. And if you didn't find any enemy you are either blind, or you have no patience. They are definitely there. Perhaps go back to call of duty, it might be more your thing.
the new engine just looks like old graphic from the last decade. Gee, just use unreal engine and put your game logic on top. And still no visible sling for the guns, man 21st century here we ... wait. And PLEASE,PLEAAAASEW let us use a c-clamp grip not that adorable "ohh look a weapon" grip.

You'll need to use Zeus to move them I believe. I'm not playing reforger at the moment and there may have been some changes I'm not aware of.
