I too have struggled with my natural hair for a year-and-a-half. My super kinky coils recently drowned me in a day of depression after taking out my braids and watching the little bit of growth shrink down to a boyish looking head of hair. Thank you so much for sharing this style. I know this video is 2 years old but your pacing, patience and encouragement is what got me through! It took me double the time (10 hours) and others weren’t impressed (except for my mom lol!) because most folks these days doing their own hair seem to be at a professional level. But not me! I’m all beginner and can’t even do single braids. It was uneven in size, my parts were messy, but it was done and I was proud of myself!!
Am attempting this again, this time with color (😬) and using the rubber band method for neater parts. My parts are already struggling lol, it took me two hours just to do big sections that I’ll blow out before parting. Praying the final result will be decent. My mom cannot do single styles and my hair lady is out of commission so I’ve got to do something for myself. Thanks so much for making it possible 🤎

I came across this video about 5 months ago. Tried the style for the first time and it has literally been my look for the last 5 months. I keep it up for a month take it down have my wash day then re-do it in this style again. It is such a great protective style and my hair has grown tremendously since keeping it like this.
I redo my front row of twist as needed and when I do it makes the style look brand new again

Love this style I did this style using the crochet method and I did it for under $5.99. I use the 16 inch and half it also and use small section of pack!! I wore fir about 3 months with one touch up.

Happened to have some afro spring twists that we're in crochet form, I just undid them, brushed them out a bit, and did the braid and loop through method and it worked like a charm!! This is the first time I've ever installed extensions that wasn't crochet. Thank you so much for your tutorial! I love the energy!!
