Hi. I've been trying to find stylized eye for 3ds Max + Arnold for an hour. There is not much out there, at least not what I expected. In desperation I broaden my search criteria. This video was so helpful! It gave me idea how to do this in 3ds Max and I am so happy with the results. Can't thank you enough! Oh, you sound like the nicest person ever too.
This was super helpful (and actually super relaxing I nearly fell asleep listening to this. Gave ASMR vibes)! Anyway, just for other folks like me who are looking at this with 4.2 of blender now out, screen space reflections is not a thing in that version. I'm not sure how you'd get a similar effect with 4.2 (I heard that the ray tracing options can potentially do it but there's quite a few more steps), so just use 4.0 or 4.1 versions to get that option back!
scale cage is another option if anyone doesnt know the shortcut to 0:48 its where scale is hold left click button on scale and it should come up then change the why axis only if you want to make it the way this person did copy and paste 0.0663 into the y axis bar and press enter where it says resize
I wonder why you have few subscribers. You're actually one of the best out there. A quick one for you. Hide your subscribers so that you can grow your channel easily. I 'love' you. (From Nigeria.)
OMG TYSM FOR THIS, i loaded a model and their eyes were glassy and had reflection of the hdr and made them look creepy, but woth this tutorial i finally fixed their eyes and they look less scary again 😂
I am trying to learn how to do the eyes , and that would've helped so much . I tried R, G , S and etc . It just messed it up . I'll just move on to something else . However this seems like a good video except no shortcut keys .
Oh, so sorry for the delayed response. You might have figured it out already, but for anyone else, S to scale along the Y and then the number 0. Scales everything along that axis to 0
Iam new to blender I have been learning everything myself I want to make a show myself with some friends and I have been modeling characters and I just wanted to say thank you this is the best tutorial on TH-cam so clear even I could follow 😂😂
thanks for the easy to follow tutorial. When switching to material preview unfortunately I can't see reflections of trees and stuff, just a black sphere... Do you know how to change that? Thanks :)
I'd say be sure to have the screen space refractions checked for just the shiny material. And that transmission is set to 1. Alternatively, you can try a Glass BSDF instead of Principlied BSDF. And to make sure the IOR isn't set to something crazy, cause that could bend the image behind it all weird sometimes.
Oh yeah, sorry for the late response. Maybe you've found out by now since I'm so slow, but it is CTRL + R. Its the loop cut option towards the lower middle edits on the left. Box with a line going down the center.
It’s a great tutorial for the eyes, but I got one question! Whenever I change from material preview to solid. All the changes disappeared? What should I do in this case?
@@Skeletor8387 Thanks , that's better than nothing . It worked somewhat . But that part goes inside the eye so hopefully it wont make a difference much .
Agree with some others- would’ve helped if anyone knew what keys you were pressing: less a tutorial and more a demo of wheat the author could do. Nice finished job though

Good tutorial, but it would have been much, much more helpful if I knew what hotkeys you were using to do things.
Yeah, I was just thinking that as well! I don't know what hotkey she used to flatten the eye
@@StrongFeesh91 Not sure if u still need it but i believe it was s (for scaling) then pressing y (at least thats how i did it)
@@Ace7 Thank you!

At 0:48 how did you flatten it?
Press s, z, 0, and then enter

@@Larbog It's been a year, I have improved.

I would love to learn 3d human from start to bone to rig
pro tip: you can watch series on flixzone. Been using it for watching a lot of movies recently.

I love that commentary 🤣🤣🤣🤣 thas was awesome.....
This was what I was looking for!
Thanks for the tutorial! If I'm using Cycles Render Engine, however, is there any other alternatives for the "Screen Space Reflections" option?
how do I do the transparency trick with cycles?
Not working in latest version
What version did u use? I cant find screen space reflection
Best eye tutorial
Omg it’s so easy! Every other tutorial was so overly complicated and it’s this simple?
I love the dorkiness at 1:39
How did you color in the vertex spaces?
Damn your voice is comforting
I was like why is this person breaking the 4th wall?!😂 Great tutorial!
great tutorial but it seems like this only works for Eevee. how would you do this for cycles?
at 2;16 how did you select those faces in a circle :O :O :O show your hot keys D:
I love it, and it so cool!!! thank you.
THANK YOU, I WAS SUFFERING ABOUT CORNEA
Thank you! This was fast and easy to learn. Please share some more Blender tutorials.
Not really beginner friendly😓tried to follow you but I had no idea what you were doing when you started talking about flattening it
Super helpful thanks! I like when you mess up in the vid it's funny
always happy to find a tutorial made by woman
4:58 "Cuz if you lower it, it's too rough like Dave" 😱 anyway lol thanks for the tut!
does it not say reflective

Same thing happened to me to. Normally I see reflections, but the newest version of Blender 2.93.6 is not responding the same way.
Very good video, very very good
That was super quick ! thank you for making this .
Heeey thank you so freakin much I was stuck at the outter eye texture and stuff from other tutorials. +1 Thaanks !!
amazing tutorial
Excellent tutorial! Cheers. Straight to the point, thanks
Thank you! The best tutorial for me!
I gave this a go. It looks kinda weird rendered in cycles after applying lights so I tried Eevee.
you're a god!
Great video! Very easy to understand :D
But may i ask what keyboard shortcut was used for the split tool in 3:37? thanks!

@@omtay YO THANKS SO MUCH OMTAY

Glad it helped
I can't, your voice is so charming, such a great video and so well explained, thank you!

How can I make the ball plain? Any short cut?
Dude... I could just done this instead of the other method. Anyways thank you so much
I have 2 of these I should do
So what exactly did u say at 1:41 😂😂😂😂
we need the hotkeys girl im so lost 😭😭
its not turning white for me im following all the steps
0:51 what key did you press to flatten that part of the eye? I can't really seem to find it
personally i just went to the transform option to flatten in and then the move one to put it how they did but idk if that’s helpful / works well
Thank you
@@Skeletor8387 Thanks , that's better than nothing . It worked somewhat . But that part goes inside the eye so hopefully it wont make a difference much .
@@ArielGibson757 It can be S X or S Y

Thank you! it's pretty useful and helpful!
1:00 how do I move it inside the sphere? Great tutorial btw!
Two separate objects. You want the flattened iris to be inside the exterior lens/clear/see through sphere
thank you very much
how do i render these eyes?
Thank you, this helped so much in my blender journey!
Liked for "interior crocodile alligator"
Thanks!
Excelente, gracias!!! Eres un amor
shortcut for 1:00?

how to flatten the sphere...
im confuse, did u just rotate it?
@@ical6463 Not sure if it's too late but you just press s to scale then y
scale it on the x or y axis.
keyboard shortcut:
S, X (or Y; whatever works for you), then drag.
este tutorial me fue de completa ayuda, a pesar de no saber ingles.
You're awesome, thank you.
verry underrated thank yo u so much
Beautiful tutorial, thanks.
is there a way to add an emission shader to the iris for a slight glowing effect?
I'm real bad at checking comments, whoops. But yeah, you can use an add shader node and mix in and emission.
Thank you!!
eye wont export together only the outer eye
great tutorial by the way very easy to follow.
How did you know i skipped to the end?
Nice
