Do the preceptor have to be from your state

@alexandrachampagetaylor4453, that is a great question. I think it is something you will need to confirm with your school to be sure, but I assume the answer is ‘no.’ In my program most of us are students in the same state as the school. However, we do have some students that are residents of our state, but working travel assignments around the country. Schools will also want a contract in place with the facility, as well as the preceptor, and it might be easier to get if the school and facility are “known” to each other. The preceptor has to have a valid license, of course. Does that help?
