I write books about food and agricultural history, and as much as it's just fun to learn about those things, it's people like this that make me really love agriculture. It's so solid and grounded and family oriented. Thanks for reminding me why I love sharing the story of farming with others. These people are worth being remembered.

This was so heartwarming....and it brought tears to my eyes and reminds me of my son, Dylan Loucks, who puts as much love and care into his crops....The world needs to hear, see, and feel the good things in life instead of all the bad.

I guess I am first to reply to this and I too, have tears in my eyes. What a great family who has endured tears of sadness and happiness! Thanks for the video.

Reminds me of my dad story growing up he was about 6 when he lost his father he was the youngest and only boy when my grandfather died he became the man of the house he from as soon as he could worked the farm and later went on to achieve things like running the local sugar mill the local member of parliament by the age of 15 I went on the family farms and worked with him till 32 when government policy ment it wasn't an option anymore the hardest thing for me was not working with him and at the time if I ever had a son of my own not been able to work with as I did with my father was the and I never obviously never got to ment my grandfather so been on the farm was the closest thing I had of him i do miss it but till government policy changes your going to see a lot more with story's like mine.
