Laura, I'm from a multi generation farm family. My father left the farm for WW2 and never went back to farming. When I retired from NASA, I bought a 20 acre piece of beautiful land in Kentucky. Not much more that a hobby really. Big garden and some chickens, and room for my dogs to run and play. I have a JD 5085E cab tractor with attachments and a loader. My friends, and a city boy neighbor think my tractor is a BEAST. Next to the heavy metal I seen locally and on your channel it is little more than a garden tractor. Actually a utility tractor, but for non farmers, it is a world of machines they don't see . Thanks for the great education and entertainment. Best wishes to you and Grant and family. FARMER feed the world!
Glad you got to go to the show. Thanks to Farm Rescue, John Deere and all the sponsors and farmers that go help those in need. I am sure it is a great event for those that are experiencing difficult times.
I'm a retired bank president from central Illinois and I used to go these shows all the time to get a better feel for what my farm customers were looking to possibly upgrade to. Just love your show and especially when you go to these shows. Brings back great memories.
Hope you had fun here in Decatur, that Farm Rescue Combine is now sitting on Rt 51 out of Assumption IL at the Sloan tractor dealer, i see it 2 times a week heading down that way
Good overview of the show. Heard you talking to Max Armstrong while he shined his Farmall tractor. I listened to Orion Samuleson and Max Armstrong on the WGN radio since the 1970's - outstanding announcers and educators about life as a farmer.
What's truly beyond amazing is not only how HUGE your channel has gotten, but how you will keep getting more and more beautiful for another 20 years. Your smile is captivating. So welcoming and warm. You deserve every watch and like. And all of the success in life. How you go out of your way to help others is beyond amazing.
I really enjoyed the tours..n .. the knowledge you 2 have about " farming" as a whole..is staggering!! Keep up the good work n stay grounded.. Congrats ( team) on the invite for " top farmers n spokespeople" to be at the show!! N YES!! Update that thumbnail picture...lol!! C ya on the next video!! 🤙🦊🧙♂️🐺👍
Good morning Sunshine. Enjoyed the walk around with you and Grant very much. That machinery is truly amazing. It is so great that you have become so successful and recognized in the farming industry; and at such a young age of 22! God has truly blessed you and Grant. It was fun watching you get so excited as you were pointing out various pieces of equipment. Have a great week. Larry, Central Valley, Ca.
I grew up on a small farm about 30 miles east of Decatur, IL in the heart of Amish country, Arthur, IL. If I still lived there I would love to have met you and Grant! Love your channel ❤
If it weren't for TH-cam, very few of us (east coast) would ever be exposed to the scale of not only the equipment but the size of these operations. "Big" farms around me are maybe a couple hundred acres.
With an insane price to match. They're really pushing well into the unaffordable for even the most profitable farms. No mention of maintenance and replacement part costs either, but you know not a single component on any of those is cheap.
There are so many different farm equipment available, it is almost hard to know what is the best to use. Laura, you are so well known among the farming community. Love to Laura & Grant from Mike. ❤
I luv the farm progress show. Like to see all the new stuff that I have never seen before. Most of all I like to see the older stuff too. Thanks Laura for taking us along with you at the farm progress show. Hope to see you there next year!
I'm retired and moving to Illinois soon. My Grandfather taught me about farming when I was very young. Watching your videos not only impresses me on how together you and your husband are at working the farm but, brings back fond memories of yester year. I look forward to seeing you at an event next year
See what hard work and good living does. I just started watching and I want nothing but a bountiful harvest in life for you both can’t wait to see a pregnant farm girl someday
My maternal grandfather was an Ohio farmer. Cattle, pigs, feed corn & hay. Drove a John Deere. His jaw would drop if he saw this. Not a farmer but ❤ your show.
and here, I thought my John Deere 2032 diesel was a big tractor... *grin* Seriously though, grew up farming, went US Navy, been around the world, medically retired in 2014 from injuries, came home to Wisconsin (after seeing more countries than I can name, I came all the way back here) and now am working my own owned 10 acres on which we grow our own food for sustainment. My only problem... I can't seem to stop buying attachments for my tractor... but damn it, they are so much fun! I need to find a farming addiction anonymous group before this really gets out of control... Keep up the good work on your channel. While what I have is peanuts in comparison, farming is still a part of me and always will be.
One of my favorite things at the Indiana State Fair is the backside where the farm equipment is shown. John Deere did not have as many mid size mowers and tractors this year. Not sure why. Thanks for the video tour Laura & Grant!
I know it's a tiny thing, but I love the background music you play in most of your videos... find it very pleasant and soothing, a perfect match for the incredibile vistas you film 🙂
Prettiest young farmer out there !!!
Love you both and
GOD BLESS YOU ALL
Show looks good 😊
Looking great 👍👍

the sheer scale of these machines is just insane

If you ever get a chance go to the tulare show in February. You'll definitely need a couple days to get thru it but it is worth the trip.

Great trip has been many years since going to the Tulare farm show, in Calif. thank u :)
This video of yours was so much fun. And it was great to see you talking to the farmers.❤❤❤
I got a push lawnmower and some herbs growing in my kitchen. Not bragging. Just saying.
You’re off to a good start 😆
What kind of "herbs", Mark? 😊
Mark:. Just saying he's the Future Farmers of America. Spokesman.
You’re rich
I got two push lawnmowers. One is electric and the other has a broken drive train. No herbs. Only tomatoes, melons, pumpkins.
