    Thank you so much for making this tutorial of explaining the concept of making a branch texture cause this can be replicated in any other 3D program. I always thought you had to take a photo of a literal branch and manually edit it in a photo editing software.

    for some reason I don't have the cluster template, I wonder why.

      This is also missing for me in SpeedTree 9.5.2 from the New Tree > Template menu. I found it in the program source files under the main folder where SpeedTree is installed > tree_templates > Game > Clusters. Going to submit a support ticket to see if this is a programming error. I hope this helps you.

      Using "Nodes" instead of "Generators" (Q hotkey).

    Sounds great! But in version 9 this does not work; many options are no longer available in version 9.

      I recently did this still, I think they moved around the options but they schould still be there somewhere

    no the settings are just all over the place, the scroll thingy is nice indeed, but doesnt help if too many settings in one place, all over the place.
    so its not you

      I will say after a while you get so used to knowing roughly where the settings are that it is hard to find them in any other window then the all settings window. but this is my own fault for always using the all settings window 😅

      The best thing about SpeedTree 9 is that now you can quick search for settings!

    CAN WE ALSO MAKE BAMBOO TREES ??

    • @FastTrackTutorials
      @FastTrackTutorials  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      sure. i think those would be pretty easy :) just a trunk with branches it feels like

    problem is that its 42k polygon's.

    • @FastTrackTutorials
      @FastTrackTutorials  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      This is why you convert it into a texture so it can be on a plane :)

      @@FastTrackTutorials Converted version is 42k.

      @@eserersek1017 you can always reduce the amount of cuts and verts on the trunk and branches to save on polygons, esspecially the smaller ones, if anything you can make the smaller branches as image planes as well further reducing the tri count, the possibilities are limitless
