I just love this Vlog. I used to live in Brisbane (now in Cairns) and that is typical of southern Queensland. The electrical storms from October to December are so exciting, with wind, heavy rain, thunder, lightning and sometimes large hail. I do miss the storms, but I enjoy the rain in the tropical north. By the way, it's still raining in Cairns. May is supposed to be the start of the dry season and yet rain is hammering on my tin roof as I type this. I'm really enjoying your Vlogs, you are very engaging. Liked and Subscribed. PS, you must come back to Cairns when the weather is better. Best visit between June and November because it's warm, dry and you can safely swim in the sea.
I don't know how it actually feels to be there and experience it but it looks so adventurous from here, Australia is surely beautiful with it's unique weather, like the one I am seeing in it's video
I feel so sorry for you that you were struck by wild rainy weather . Summer is bad in Queensland . But summer in Perth is hot and dry like the Mediterranean countries. I prefer the Sunshine Coast to the Gold Coast . I love nature so I prefer to go to the Gold Coast Hinterland which has a beautiful drive to rainforests and waterfalls .
@@PrinzameerTravels I have the eye necklace at home and I might give it to you , to protect you from the evil eye . Then you will get the best weather in Australia .
Gosh you’re making me want to get on a plane tomorrow and head up to Queensland. Not Gold Coast of course but the other nicer parts like the Sunshine Coast. 😂
The surcharge is coming through Australia in public holidays and Sundays to pay staff a higher wage on those days as the Union award rate is higher on those days.
Hmm yes this I understand but I don't feel they should pass on to consumers because presumably they get more business on those days anyways. Its very American ❌️❌️
@@PrinzameerTravels There's even a suburb on the Gold Coast called Miami. You were lucky to miss the tornado that hit the northern Gold Coast on Christmas Day. It did a lot of damage at Mount Tamborine, Upper Coomera, Helensvale and Oxenford. I like the stretch of beach from Burleigh Heads to Currumbin, then Kirra, Greenmount at Coolangatta, Froggy Beach and Duranbah. Best part of the Gold Coast. There is a movieworld near Helensvale and several theme parks nearby. Wet n Wild, Seaworld, Dreamworld etc.
As a Brisbane local these days and have lived in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Darwin, Townsville and finally back in Brisbane. I really don't rate the GC, it depends what vibe you're looking for though and same as Byron but hey as a tourist, knock yourself out, go for it. My kid did go to boarding school on the GC, so we did frequent it a lot but never rated it. Pretty sure there's only certain areas where surfers can actually surf because it becomes too dangerous with a heap of swimmers and surfers mixed in together and I think further South is where they mainly surf, and the waves and breaks are better anyway. And paying a 15% surcharge is pretty good considering it's Christmas Day and although they're getting paid double time, they're the ones that aren't with their families but they're probably all on working holiday visas anyway lol.

Enjoy the video. Enjoy the trauma 😅 from my Christmas here on the Gold Coast in Australia. Would you spend Christmas here?
No. You go once or twice to the theme parks and that’s about it. Kids go for a week when they matriculate Year 12.
Not in Surfers But Burleigh Heads / Talledbudgera is nice. www.jonwrightphoto.com/cdn/shop/products/TallebudgeraBurleighPhoto_2000x.jpg?v=1634866021
Lmao!! this was your funnies vlog yet!! I was in stitches the whole time 🤣🤣
Hahah then the vlog did its job 👍🏻👍🏻🫶🏼
You & the rain had me in hysterics! 😂 God bless you!
Looool glad you enjoyed my trauma. I most certainly did watching it back 🤣🤣

Thank you for your kind words!! And yes I will definitely have to come back during better conditions!

Yes it is for sure!! An adventure seekers destination but with extreme weather. Very hot in summer and in some places very wet and tropical!!

Halal very easy to find in Sydney and Melbourne.
The surcharge is coming through Australia in public holidays and Sundays to pay staff a higher wage on those days as the Union award rate is higher on those days.
Hmm maybe. I thought it would be much easier. But maybe that's because I'm from London where virtually every other restaurant serves Halal.

Go go go!!!
Hope you had yourself a merry Christmas, except for the natural disaster part :)
Hahah thank you very much!! Where did you spend Christmas!
At home, in a similar stormy hellzone in Brisbane.
“By the way I’ve never been to Miami” 🤣🤣🤣 I was going to look for your Miami video next
Loooolll yh sorry about that. Miami next!

The 15% ser charge is for the pay because staff are on double or triple time an hour
Yes this I know. But it shouldn't really fall on the consumer. Its very American ❌️❌️

Yup I 100% agree with that. Wasn't the biggest fan. But I liked how everything was open
I would not be out in rain and lightning. Rain no problem. Lightning a whole other story.
Was an experience for sure!
The Gold Coast is the "cheese" capital of Australia where cashed-up bogans go on holidays ;-)
Well I certainly do get that vibe from it! haha whats a bogan?!!
