THE BAND INTRO WAS OUSTANDING!!! AMAZING MUSICIANSHIP!!! Roy still got it!!!! He looks and sounds great!!! A true original and innovator who fused Jazz, Soul, and R&B!!!
Roy Ayers still sounds good. His music has stood the test of time. Roy Ayers is one of the great icons of music. All of these musicians sound wonderful. This was a fabulous concert.
The battle of the saxophonists was awesome grew up on Roy and met him at the University of Northern Colorado back in the day one of the best days ever now to see him with another one of my favorites is awesome Glasper and company the next wave JAZZ WILL NEVER DIE 🎹🎸🥁🎺🎷🪇🎼🎶🎵🌠🔥♥️🙌🏿
Having watched Roy Ayers for a concert organized by United States Information Services in Ghana. The concert was held in 1984 for the support of Olympic Games in Los Angeles. The second time was in Philadelphia at the East Oak Lane Jazz Festival in 2008. Amazing vibraphonist Roy Ayers and also had the opportunity to talk with him at the East OakLane Jazz Festival.
I haven't watched this yet, but the shorter version that was originally broadcast had the following tracklist: Everybody Loves The Sunshine Don't Stop The Feeling We Live In Brooklyn, Baby 35:06
Robert Glasper on keys and Chris Dave on drums…classic
