You guys are right to be proud of what you've achieved. To go from some drawings, some pieces of metal on the shop floor to the final fitting. Even if it don't work in the ground you've truly created a thing of beauty 😁😁.

I'm something like 800 miles from you, and six weeks in the future, but watching the painting, somehow the back of my neck feels sticky. Also made me happy seeing MBTS having to use two different size wrenches on those identical looking connections on top, since I was thinking I was the only one who could have four hoses and need seven different wrenches fo turn the eight connectors. Looks good enough that you may have to make a few more next winter, I think you may get some requests from some folks who want one like it. Very nice.

Ya'll are so proud you remind me of the "Portal" video game ending credits song "Still Alive" by Jonathon Coulton. I have modified the first verse or two for you.
    This was a triumph.
    I'm making a note here:
    huge success.
    It's hard to overstate
    My satisfaction.
    DP Engineering.
    We do what we must
    Because we can.
For the good of all of us.
Except the ones who are dead.
    But there's no sense crying
    Over every mistake.
    You just keep on trying
Till you run out of cake.
    And the engineering gets done.
And you make a neat plow.
    For the people who are
    Still alive.

I have a suggestion for you about your plow. I would recommend machining a socket to hold a seal in the ends of your rollers that guide the plow up and down. The reason why is to stop dirt from getting in between the pin and the roller. If you look at your Volvo you will find them at the bottom of the stick for the bucket pins. You have to make the grove about .030 deeper than the end of the pin so they don’t rub and you have to install them in backwards so the grease can get out and the dirt can’t get in. It will definitely make everything last longer being they will most likely be in a lot of dirt. Sorry I didn’t think of it before you had the rollers greased. Just a suggestion but it does work to keep dirt out. Looking very good so far and I’m waiting to see it in the ground.

I know this is a bit late since you have your appendage painted such a nice sh*t brindle green as my Daddy likes to call “Army Green” but have you considered some “hard face welding” going across and around at the very least the cutting edge of the plow and the bottom and sides of the “foot” of the plow and possibly the truck of it especially since you made it out of mild steel. One other idea you may or may not want to consider is getting a sheet of thin flexible durable plastic and cut out circles to be slightly larger than you pin rollers to act as washer between the roller and the housing to help prevent galling of the roller and the housing as well as acting as sorta seal to help prevent the egress of crud, corruption, and dirt into roller/pin. Lastly for style points have you consider getting your local machine shop or Clint to cut out your logo in 10 gauge sheet metal and then either drill a holes in it appropriate places and weld short pieces of threaded rod or machine screws to it and paint or powder coat them Black and mount them on your equipment instead of using stickers to “brand” it. Additionally you could weld longish handle to one and use it as a stencil with spay paint to make things as yours on a job site as well as sell them on your website along with hats, hoodies, shirts, stickers, along with popcorn, peanuts, beef jerky, and autographed Pepsi cans. Ok maybe not popcorn, peanuts but Dirt Perfect beef jerky and Autographed Pepsi cans or at least can cozies and 24 to 32 ounce insulated drink cups they could be money makers or not.

Shortening the vertical pin so it can be inserted from the top means that the load is now concentrated on one thickness of metal. The forces involved in plowing will tend to rotate the plow around the horizontal axis (viewed from the side). The one thickness may bend thed plate. The lonjger pin spread the bending action over the length or the old pin.
