So it doesn't matter if you reject Apollo (Daphne) or accept him (Hyacinthus), you are gonna turn into vegetation either way.
Would rather not choose the path of Cassandra who first accepted his proposal and then rejected him. Unsurprisingly, she had the worst fate out of all of Apollo's exes and didn't even turn into some cool flower or tree for us to remember.
Given the chance, we can ALL turn into vegetation.

Nope. Both were worshipped, but in different cities. Helios was never forgotten in his island of Rhodes for example, neither in Corinth.

You know that Apollo is actually never mentioned in the myth about the kidnapping of Dread Persephone, Queen of the Underworld? Helios is mentioned though, he told Demeter what happened to her daughter and sold Hades as if Persephone just won the freaking lottery; but hey, when it comes to husbands in that family she actually did win the lottery
