The toybiz Spiderman villains scorpion is one of my favorite figures of all time. For a toyetic version it still has an amazing sculp and paint application.
As a kid I had the purple variant of the TV Show Scorpion. That color scheme was actually based on the Spiderman 2000 video game, where scorpion's suit was green and bluish purple. It also had an added feature that if you submerged it in water, the purple would turn blue.
On a side note: if the MCU does a version of scorpion, my hope is that it looks some what similar to the outfit that he had in the ps4 game with the addition of pincers to make him more of a threat, even if it's unneeded.

The Toybiz Scorpion figure is the best looking one out of the regular versions of Scorpion, Hesbro should have used that body mold instead but, went with a different head sculp with the snake/cat eyes, green skin, and fangs look.
The Spider-Man Classics is still the best, especially the metallic green variant with the face covered. However his joints get way too stiff over time and I've had one figure loose his leg right at the hip.
Love them all. My favourite childhood Scorpion will always be TAS but big fav is now Marvel Legends. The 90s colours will be added nicely to another figure as will his menacing green face and yellow eyes...hey ToyShiz if you have a second maybe try cut out clear yellow plastic eye shapes for ML Scorpion. I've tried it and it looks pretty good.
Like you said you can't go wrong with either the Toy Biz or Hasbro version, but I really like the look of the Toy Biz version. It looks more like the comic book...

As long as any older figure has those circular hips it can never be better than the updated version

I have that geen and yellow one, and the ML style one with the newspaperbox, and I will be getting that new Hasbro one, for sure.
