  • The crew of Kismet took Ranger Tugs Factory Delivery Experience in Des Moines, Washington. Professional, informative and so helpful. Technology is always changing, so a review of systems and operations, on a new boat, is still a must, even for seasoned boaters. A big thanks to Tim and Ivan for sharing their knowledge with us.

Thanks for the overview; hope to do that myself.
Your opening and closing with the sound of the water reminds me, how much wave splash do you hear through the hull on the Rangers when at anchor? As far as interrupting/ deterring sleep...

Thanks for the comment. We have been caught anchored with a constant slapping of waves on our hull and certainly, on a smaller boat, it can be annoying. After a night such as that, we would just change our anchorage, paying more attention to the wind direction, etc. to manage a more peaceful night.

@@Trailertrawlerlife I wonder if noise-cancelling headphones would be wise? they'd reduce the noise and help with sleep, but you might miss an alarm or other critical sound?? probably different whether anchored or docked... or not?
wonder if you can get a wire feed to plug in in the event of an alarm, instead of/ along with music input.

@@Winkmeister Ear plugs would help too, but I feel as you do that someone needs to be able to hear alarms or other danger sounds.
