You would have laughed at me sitting up close to my laptop and paying close attention trying to figure out how you were going to get a triangle out of that square. And it was so simple. Once again you show us you are an amazing creator. Thanks for sharing.
I totally enjoy your videos. You have taught me so much and I am looking forward to view more of your video tutorials. This bag will make a great additions to my items I sell at craft fairs. Thank you again for sharing your knowledge.
Love these little pouches. Thank you so much for this tutorial. Like all of your others, you directions are clear and I appreciate all the little tips along the way. I have made several things from your tutorials, all of which are in my shop and selling! 🎉woohoo
❤ this Tutorial. One question: The Tab was Added to which side of bag before sewing it into place? I got confused on that part. Definitely wanna make one and Add a Longer strap to hold around my wrist
I have just made these for a child's toss game and also for fabric weights (without the zip) and was thinking that they would make cute pouchs to go with my totes but hadn't got around to figuring out how to add the zip, and voila, you did it for me. lol. Thanks again Christine.😃
Would like to make the smaller size. I found it difficult to follow when several sizes were being worked on in turn. I appreciate the same principle is being applied to each different size, but it’s the way I process. None the less I do enjoy watching your tutorials and seeing the finished product. I’ve made a few different projects following a few of your other tutorials and generally I find your individual focused tutorials with their step by step instructions are great.
Thanks Christine, these are great little bags..I've made them as a pincushion. I've seen them made with a log cabin patchwork block, good way to use all those little strip's of fabric you just can't throw away..😊
Love these Christine, they are so cute. You know by the time I get my sewing machine out of storage and down to Victoria I’ll be a pro at sewing, if only in my head. I’m learning so much from watching your videos so thank you, I really appreciate it. I can’t wait to get it and start sewing, I’m even collecting material now so I’ll have plenty when I finally get it back.
You'll be so excited, you won't know where to start Pamela. Chris and I are going away for several days next week, and Chris offered to take one of my industrials away with us so I wouldn't have withdrawals🤣
I made one of these bags a few months ago. Just 12 x 12 cm and it's big enough for 50 wonder clips. It took me ages to make, but now I have your tutorial, I might make some more. Thank you for sharing this and making it look so easy! Happy sewing, Diane
These are great for clips. Especially when you go away for a few days which we are currently doing. Wish I had thought of that before Chris and I took our road trip. I'm using a plastic bag🤣
In the past I've made a small version using 1 colour. But I like your 2 colours and I also have some swatches to use up, so thanks for the reminder Christine - nice job 🤩
Love these little bags! I have yet to try using any of my zippers, and it occurs to me one of these bags would make a fab house purse for my air pods case, lip balm, phone, and fidget spinners, no one likes to have to get up again to grab one of these small essentials to help sleep. :)
I love these! I’ve made them before, but you make the instructions so much clearer. And I love your short cuts and tips. One question: what do you mean by “the curved end of the zipper” in terms of tab placement? Thanks, again.
It took me all day today to make TWO...I made every mistake possible, twice!!! I think I was trying to go to fast. Tomorrow, I shall slow down....a little. 😀
😍EXCELLENT Tutorial I was wondering if you could Please do a Tutorial of one of these bags that’s Unlined. My brain can’t figure it out 😂 and I’d Like to make an Unlined Leather Triangle bag
Your tutorial is fabulous but I am struggling with how to line up the zipper when sewing that first long side (side with tab). Every time I make one the top zipper doesn’t quite line up nicely. I am sure I am doing something wrong that’s very basic but can’t quite figure it out. Top of zipper seems curled in and not nice and flat. The bottom is easy because it’s the bottom of the zipper and it’s easy to line up the seams with the zipper. But the top never comes out nicely. Can you help? What am I doing wrong?
Pascale, I like to use double sided tape to keep everything held together. If you don't have access to it, then I'd baste the zip in place before sewing😁
Awesome! I just saw a drawstring bag made from jeans where the bottom part was the top of the jeans then fabric added to the top then add drawstrings. Also handles! I’ve made one like it but used fabric not jeans. Great idea! I think it was called a yarn bag maybe! Would be great to have a Christine tutorial on repurposing jeans for this bag! 😊
Thank you for this video.. And all the others the patterns you share are always so practical and easy to make. I love them all. I have 1 question please where do you buy your double sided sticky tape.. Thanks again❤
Hi there, you can buy double sided tape at any craft store or most of the time at the cheap stores or you used to be able to anyway. Sorry to jump in but thought I’d answer your question.
Lill, I use "Sew Easy" quilter's double sided tape, and as Pamela said, you can get it at craft stores, and even discount stores. Some of the cheaper products might gum up your needles, so it's worth purchasing one that is suitable for fabric😀
Bonnie, I use "Sew Easy" wash away tape specific for sewing. It doesn't gum up your needles like the cheaper tape does. I should have an Amazon link in the description box😀
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs bummer! Too small? I'm thinking I'll put a hole in mine to make as funkier dogpoobags. I made mine a bit larger, unlined and out of drill fabric.
christine I can't understand your vidio you say sew up one side and the other side is sewn up with a bit left open but then in the vidio you show where you have a section to sew tog I can't get it
Ruth, it might be worth breaking this one down slowly. Do each step, then pause the video, and go on to the next. I find this helps me when trying out new projects. Sometimes I have to do it many times😀
I did have to watch this video twice to understand how to make one--I think seeing what you were doing with the lining covering the zip confused me a bit. I like to see the zip when I sew them in or I sometimes get too close to the teeth and the fabric gets caught in the teeth. Anyway, thanks!
Thanks Amrita. If you have trouble stitching too close to your zipper, try using your regular foot and moving the needle position. Then you'll have a guide to sew with😀
Personally I found it very confusing, constantly changing from one bag to another. Usually the tutorials are very good and easy to follow. This took me while to figure out. But thank you anyway.
You can never tell from one market to the next what will sell Erin. Sometimes I think I have a fabulous product, and then the items I don't think will do well end up selling. Maybe next time😀
Oh, Christine! I’m so disappointed 😢. I got the double sided tape, and it worked great BUT it gummed up my needle so badly that I had to wipe the needle with alcohol after each sewing. Ugggggh. Oh well. Back to pins and clips for me 🤷♀️
Oh no, that's aweful Cora. I've had a few people mention they've had this problem. Unfortunately not all tape is made for sewing. Try visiting a local quilt or sewing store to see what they have for you😀
Thanks for your sharing and great ideas. Love making these little projects. 💖
That is a cracking little bag. Will make a great addition to the laptop sleeve, to keep your cords in.
What a fabulous idea Michelle😀

Haha, I'm having a good chuckle now Cynthia😁
Thankyou for showing a simpler way to sew the bag with hidden lining seams. Great way to use left over charm squares.
My pleasure Anne. Thank you😁

❤ this Tutorial. One question: The Tab was Added to which side of bag before sewing it into place? I got confused on that part. Definitely wanna make one and Add a Longer strap to hold around my wrist
@ceciliajefferson4209 add the tab to the side that the zip opens from. (The curved side of slider) 😀
I have just made these for a child's toss game and also for fabric weights (without the zip) and was thinking that they would make cute pouchs to go with my totes but hadn't got around to figuring out how to add the zip, and voila, you did it for me. lol. Thanks again Christine.😃
haha, I'm here for you Judi😁
I really enjoy seeing you make several at once.
Thank you very much Michelle 😊

Thanks Janet. I love log cabins. I made a green and blue one years ago with a little red in between green for me, blue for mum) 😁
Those are so cute. I'm going to have to make some of these. Thank you!
Have fun Janet. They're very quick to make😀
Thanks Christine cute little bags going to make some thanks for sharing
Thanks Pamela. Happy sewing!!😀

Thank you Patte😀

I love these! I’ve made them before, but you make the instructions so much clearer. And I love your short cuts and tips. One question: what do you mean by “the curved end of the zipper” in terms of tab placement? Thanks, again.
The curved end of the zipper slider. That means that sliding toward the curved edge will close the zip. 😁
These are so cute 😍, thanks 😊
Thanks Giovanna😀
You make them look so easy. Great idea!
They are very easy Pam😀
These little bags are cute and you make it look so easy. How do you get the paper off the swatches ? Thanks for all tips
Thanks Aideen. I use an iron for the fabric swatches. It gets most of the paper off, and the rest I leave in😀
I'm inspired to make these!
They're fun to make Lisa, and a great way to use up scraps😀
