It's funny that they never mentioned why Dillman was fired. He could've been actually investigating police corruption and pissed the incorrect people before making a breakthrough.
Jake is well within his rights to accuse Dillman, but it does make Dillman's story a lot sadder. Holt probably would have given him a job if he just asks.
@@TheCoolCucumber well yh most cops in the nypd aren’t good people, especially the higher ups. that was their attempt to address the real life issues of discrimination and corruption in the real NYPD, samberg realised if he made the nypd precinct in the show seem like a happy, funny world where all cops are good ppl who do no wrong with a smile on their face it’s essentially copaganda bc it’s so far removed from the actual nypd and the police in general. they aren’t there to help they’re there to maintain the status quo

This season is fun but flawed. Amy gets less focus and unique moments with other characters Jake's relationship with Holt should have been with more trust and faith after the last 6 rich seasons.
@@MarkCalloway Amy loss her awkward mentor interactions with Holt and her bullying interactions with Gina. She also has less frequent interactions with Terry. Her only anchor on the team is Jake which makes sense.
Yik Long Tay yeah, I don’t like that Amy has lost a lot of protagonism on the show. Of coarse, since season 1 we’ve known that Jake is kind of the main character, but in earlier seasons Amy was also a main focus, she wasn’t just jake’ wife. I don’t know but that bothers me.
Love that he's too proud to just ask for a job. Like he wasn't working at the SFPD so he could've been hired by Holt to join the 99. He might start a bit lower than he's used to but he'd still have a job.
I'm kinda tired of B99's plotlines where some famous hotshot that one of the characters idolizes turns out to be a fraud/bad person. It happened with the author in Season 1, that one cellist Holt really admired, the other author that Terry Crews admired (twice), Dr. Yee last season and now this guy. It gets old fast
😅😂.. This exchange was *AWESOME!!!* 👏👏👏 The back-and-forth between Dillman and Peralta was fast and furious, especially when Dillman was busted by **his manager** from the crafts store on FaceTime!!!👏👏👏
Jake: “He’s not in the SFPD, he’s not Master Tenzin, he’s not even Omni-Man, he’s a journalist for the Daily Bugle and he wants pictures of Spider-Man! Everyone: GASP 😧
all these former J.K. Simmons comments and I haven't seen any about Law & Order. As far as I am aware that's the first role he won awards for but feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

man i love this episode

@@MarkCalloway ok
Mortal16 thankyou :)
“My god he’s double backing Dillman” - always love Holt’s shocked expressions 😂
Such a columbo moment.. Loved it
Last time I saw him that shocked was when he found out Bob killed Wheelon
Gasping moment
One more thing Mr Dillman...
He’s not SFPD; he’s a journalist at the Daily Bugle and wants to get pictures of Spider-Man!
Kerri Angel I WANT SPIDER-MAN!!
Mark Calloway Shame he’s looking in the wrong part of New York 😂 Should have gone to Queens
Kerri Angel maybe after seeing civil war he decided to check out where Cap was from , if you understand that reference 😂
i thought he's an insurance agent for Farmers Insurance
Oh f*ck! Didn't see the similarity!
He's not SFPD, he's an Airbending Master Tenzin
Mikha'il Paragon underrated comment 😭😂
Never realized it was his voice till now! Thanks for the heads up :D
OMG I never noticed it.
Can't unhear him now
It's Cave Johnson!
He was fired from the SFPD because no one was quite at his tempo
Cross over damn!
Spiderman was. Now if only he had drum sticks . . .
I knew it, *I knew it*
It's funny that they never mentioned why Dillman was fired. He could've been actually investigating police corruption and pissed the incorrect people before making a breakthrough.
They did say he rubbed the brass the wrong way, so that could be it.
Jake is well within his rights to accuse Dillman, but it does make Dillman's story a lot sadder. Holt probably would have given him a job if he just asks.
@@MB-te9xwEven sadder given the themes Season 8 tackles - could’ve been a chance for a Dillman redemption.
It was also mentioned earlier in the episode that he was initially fired from the NYPD for investigating corruption
He’s not SFPD, he got fired from the SFPD. Now he’s a jazz director at the Shaffer Conservatory...where he was also fired.
To then go work at the daily bugle.... where he WANTS SPIDERMAN
@@Pigeon249 And before he was Airbending Master Tenzin, and now, now he’s the infamous ‘Superhero’ Omni-Man.
Whenever a hero, or a legend visits the precinct it always turns out they're a fraud or a criminal, it's like the 8th time they've done this.
And alot of them are highly respected by holt, i think he has a terrible judge of character
Right? So tired of this cliche, one exception I can think of was that puzzle master Amy idolized but besides him...

Despite the humour, I love how you see Holt reevaluating Dillman as soon as he "forgot" about the AFI system
fun fact in season 6 episode 6 holt mentions the two best detectives hes ever known: montez and dilman
Don't get Dillman too upset or he'll burn your house down with lemons
portal?
THINK, DILLMAN! The AFI system hasn’t been used in YEARS by any police department, you can’t be a part of the SFPD!

J. K. Simmons is always a joy to watch
"Prank Master General" is unironically a badass title, and I would OWN that shit 100% if I were Peralta.

He's not SFPD, he's an inmate st the Oswald State Corrections Facility.
Djminor321 SCHILLINGER
Prankmaster General sounds like a 40k rank title
I knew he was evil you can never trust the news.
You can never trust a man who hates Spider-Man
Dillman is basically J Johna Jameason framing jake saying he's a menace but jake is spiderman and proves him wrong
"Get me more pictures of Jake Peralta!"
He's not SFPD. He's the commissioner of Gotham City and works with Batman.
He’s not SFPD; he’s the author of the journals.... My brother!
He's not SFPD, he's a music teacher.
I love how Dillman's stoic demeanor completely disappears when he has to talk to his manager.
Vern Schillinger has come a long way from being leader of the Aryan brotherhood to being a journalist to being a cop and now a yarn barn associate.
I was expecting Jake to pull out his phone only to have the manager hung up on him and he had to awkwardly call her back.
This is actually not true- Dillman is actually not a detective, but the son of Avatar Aang who is supposed to teach Korra airbending.
Wrong! He’s taken his detective skills and decided to frame the Spider Man for the murder of Mysterio!
He's not SFPD, he just needs Spiderman pictures!
