Remember that first responders can also be abusers. I was married to one who abused me and our children in every way and finally left me for my son's 18 year old girlfriend, whom he had groomed in our family home. So police are also abusers which leaves many with no where to turn. Bless the suffering and traumatised. It can take decades for the truth to be exposed.

No one is actually going to know what did or did not happen so many years ago. But the question has to be asked, "why make allegations now" when the man you are naming has no chance of defending himself. Already you have this woman being interviewed who believes that Harrods (which is NOT even owned by the Al Fayed family any more) should make payments to these accusers. Get a grip. Unless something can actually be proved in a court of law, and remembering that the man cannot defend himself, then these type of allegations should be taken with a pinch of salt. And believe me, I think Al Fayed was a ghastly person. But no one should be accused after they are dead and unable to offer any defence.

Isnt it great that people suddenly become visible victims of a multi-millioniare after that millionaire dies? Why is that? Could ot be that no offence or offences ever happened? Could it be that some people want their own pay day and accusing dead rich people may open up that cash drawer?
    1. Wait till the rich guy is dead so that he cannot defend himself against allegations made.
    2. Ensure the media are involved because they love juicy stories over actual evidence and will help get the public angry and then your allegation accepted as true.
    3. Wait a few months until the public are screaming 'Shame' against that dead guy and then try and get the politicians to accept your story too.
    4. Make a claim against the dead guy's estate or get the media to pay you for your juicy story.
    5. Once you get a pay out, buy a house, a car and go on holiday. Party.
This is what is happening far too often now. It is time that we stop automatically taking the accusers side until a police investigation has been done. Trial by popular media is unjust and shouldn't be happening - Have we forgotten that women can and do lie for attention and money and revenge and even because of their hate.

I hate it when people say that rape is not a problem because some people say it is so not important that some people don't even remember it happening. That's even worse. It's because the brain is traumatised. I got raped when I was seven by a much older boy. The headmaster hated me because I wasn't from the counsel Estate. The boy threatened me with q hunting knife hw carried everywhere. The headmaster stalked me around the school and when people complained to him about boys hitting me over the neck and head with bats he dedicated assembly next day to interrogating me. And he put words in their mouth and said she's teasing you isn't she boys are stronger than girls. Four years of that psychos crap. When he is in a xouple of feet from me in a shop or the pavement he starts humming. At one point he looked out if his car and I recognised him at same time he actually snarled with disgust at me.

if there are hundreds of "victims" why are they only speaking out now when the guy is dead? and to a BBC documentary instead of going to the police. He sounds like a gropey old bastard but if he raped so many people why did they not speak out? and one person who now claims she was raped did take a civil case against him at the time claiming he sexually harrased her but never mentioned being raped. How is that not an "evolving allegation"?
