Nothing to do with Tommy Robinson. It had been raised several times before, most notably by Nick Griffon of the BNP in the late 90s. There had been a number of high profile CONVICTIONS (never mind trials) before Tommy Ten Names ever got the idea into his head to get involved. Its also quite clear his concern is using it to further his profile rather than justice for the victims otherwise he wouldn't have taken then steps that he did that landed him with his fifth custodial sentence for Contempt of Court.

My understanding is the the Police investigate and gather the evidence and information. They then pass it all up to the CPS and the CPS decide what happens to it.

Recent Parliamentary Committee to raise awareness saw use of old, seasoned, ndp female MPs get meeting adjourned to renew discussion on abortion with witnesses in attendance who had fled Canada in fear and now travelled back to give testamony to Parliament.Cmte.
