Already purchased a Bambu Lab - P1S Combo...thanks to you! Actively printing the IM suit [free model by Do3d]. THANK YOU for the outstanding resources!!!
I think you'll enjoy it! I recently purchased a used Neptune 3 Max with some upgrades (Android TS9 box with klipper, bimetal heatbreak, cht clone nozzle, etc.) And it's been an excellent machine. Klipper with input shaping makes a huge difference in print speeds and quality.
@@josh5397 where did you get all those parts to upgrade it and also did you watch a tutorial becaause I am wondering if I should get neptune 3 plus or neptune 4 plus
@bluedasher3989 the gentlemen I bought the printer from had already upgraded it, but I believe he purchased the nozzles from Aliexpress and the heatbreak and android box from Amazon. I can't say which would be a better option at this point (last I heard is that the N4M was having firmware issues) but with a little bit of patience and potential upgrades, I'm sure both will work well. Truth be told, I'm very, very tempted to get a Bambu P1S (mostly for the speed, reliability, print quality, and multicolor) but I've been having a blast with my Elegoo.
Now own a Bambu PS1 with AMS, looking at it and the style of other printers I have owned including Creality and QIDI Plus 4 I'm pretty sure that all of these printers are manufactured by the same company in that the build components are almost identical. So far very impressed with the Bambu PS1, the only problem I've had so far is with the reals of filament are the only cause of problems where occasionally the filament cannot be fed because it is tangled on the real, which is a quality issue from the filament suppliers.
Have to say after some initial teething problems, I love this printer, its way better then any printer I've had before, perhaps its just evolution, I started out with: QidiTech Dual extruder which I had for a few years Voxlab Aquila Pro Voxlab Aquila D1FDM ANYCUBIC Kobra Max ANYCUBIC Kobra 2 Plus Creality K1 Max QidiTech Plus 4 All of these had problems, but the Bambu PS1 is in a different league. I wish I had discovered this one first. I also have the AMS which is great too...although I am finding that a lot of filaments do not feed without jamming and I believe this is purely down to the way the filaments have been wrapped.
I've watched a whole bunch of 3d printer review videos I finally decided on the A1 mini without AMS because it's my total beginner and I don't have room for the AMS lite versions. I can't wait for tomorrow when the printer reaches me :D
It’s a great printer. But he didn’t mention it because it’s sadly not on sale. The “sale price” it lists is actually its regular price it’s been at for almost a year.

I got my first printer last week with 'halloween sales'. Qidi X Max 3 for £560 (Including VAT (sales tax)) which is about $720. I was looking all over the internet for like a year before I decided to just yolo it. I do think it was worth a mention due to the huge build size, klipper, and heated enclosure.

Got the Bambu X1 Carbon with AMS because of this channel and your recommendations. Absolutely love it and 3d printing. I am a complete amateur and have printed 9 different items perfectly. It has been running non stop for days 😂 Truly love your channel and appreciate you Frank!
I love my P1S man. Got it this summer and works like a dream. Literally like a macbook. Problem? Reboot. No issues so far and I've put like 4ish rolls of PETG and 3 rolls of PLA through it already. So hassle free.
I've been printing for 13 years. Started on a Foglertech I3 Clone DIY kit from ebay. To an Ender3 V1 (still have) , then a Kobra Max for size. I bought the P1S AMS in june and a month alter put my other 2 in storage. Default settings most of the time and everythign comes out perfect. I'd have to msess with my other printers so much to get decent results and even then i'd just settle for some results because i didn't want to reprint. Even ironing on the P1S is amazing. My top layer looks like a bottom layer that came off a smooth pei sheet. I bought the Max for larger cosplay stuff, but after realizing i didn't need to scale up most things, i stopped using it. I printed a perfect fit Mandalorian Helmet on the P1S with 5% scaling margin. I may even get another P1S(non AMS) here soon. I do however want to get another AMS so i can do 8color prints. I mostly do Hueforge and pixel art magnets.
I am surprised you didn't mention the Qidi Tech QIDI Plus4 3D Printer. The features, size and quality it puts out is very impressive. In some cases it beat the P1S.
I've had a few to many quality control issues with mine. They sent me replacement parts for all of it but I don't think I should have had the issues to begin with.
That larger size new K2 Plus is pretty damn tempting. Yeah its more expensive than a Bambu, but it has a bigger build volume. Early hands-on though say that it does create more poop volume than a Bambu due to such a long nozzle length when printing multi-color models. I'd be interested in hearing more about that.
Thanks for the awesome deal and the explanations! But I was wondering if you have any delta recommendations. I already have a Core XY machine, and I'd like to try out a different type. Delta look really cool and seem to be super fast. Who wouldn't want to print their models a bit quicker, right?
Earlier this year i bought the A1, oh my god i love this machine so much it literally works beautifully every print. My only failures were because of me not the machine
Just ordered my Bambu X1C yesterday! After to many headaches with the Qidi X Plus, I wanted something that was easy and consistant! Just as you said Bambu is like the Apple of printers , so Im expecting alot easier system.
Got a p1S combo from micro center and it’s been great , first one I got had a belt issue so I swapped it and have had no issues , I have a k1 max and the first two were lemons constant clogs then Creality shipped me another one and it seem like a v4 and it’s been great no clogs or bed issues even tho the bed mesh is horrible
I'd disagree, I got rid of my A1 for the kobra 3. While the kobra 3 has the hotend issue, for $20 it is fixed and has a dry box that keeps printer consistency much better. Both are good, kobra is better.
Got my friend set up with an A1 mini, the quality is so good and it's just so easy. I like tinkering but if I had the A1 I'd have spent way less time messing with the printer and been able to spend more time learning design and making videos
Last year Sovol had a huge Christmas sale. The SV06 Plus was $200. Which is a large-ish printer with all the little bells and whistles for a killer price. In my opinion
Totally agree with comments about the Neptune 4 series. Neptune 4 Pro was my first filament printer, and at first I loved the thing. When I was printing as a hobby, on occasion, it was great. Now that I am selling stuff at pop up vendor markets and running it around the clock, I *hate* it. I have to realign it almost daily, and I swear it makes up the settings it wants at random. Figuring out things like SCREWS_TILT_CALCULATE help, but good grief I should not have had to do that. On the flip side I just bought a Bambu A1 a few weeks ago and love it. I have that thing pumping out prints, in multicolor, non-stop and while there was some learning curve in the beginning as it was very different from what I was used to, once I got the hang of it, it just works. I do plan on growing and getting more printers over time, and at this point I am very unlikely to even look at Elegoo again.
ive had a neptune 3 and ima say this much the only issue ive ever seen is that it has an issue where if ur z axis sensor breaks which isnt a super rare and still isnt comon at all but they dont have really an option to just buy the part unless you go through their tech support which can take about a week or 2 but is very easy to install urself and they do also have an option to just straight up buy a whole new head peice for about $10 more than what you would buy the peice if you bought the amazon version that people agree has a few issues
Great video frank. I agree about the Neptune 4. I have issues ranging from print quality all the way to leveling not working good. The clipper software is so glitchy just nto turn the speed down it takes like a thousand pushes on the touch screen to get it to do its thing. Got a K1C and it was night and day difference. I've had 2 print failures and one of them was my fault cause it didn't have the best bed adhesion. Added a full raft and it printed flawless like I can't even see the layer lines with a blue elegoo silk. Really want to get a K2 plus combo one day. Gotta talk my wife into it tho 😂
I love my Elegoo Neptune 4 plus, but I understand your verdict. I have put money into my machine to make it more reliable like the Microswiss Flowtech Hotend.
I have the Neptune 4 Max. There are some issues but you really just have to with the extruder have it very close to the bed. That is really the only issue I've encountered
Between you and emily (the engi) i bought the a1 when the sale started, just waiting on my filament now to start my infamous ironman suit and finally my proton pack
i legit was watching next layers new vid on his new printers and i thought y frank not uploaded recently so i checked and as i checked like literally as i checked u uploaded this
The K1 Max and Sovol SV08 didn't either. But since other brands improved noticeable ... the question arrives if buying into Bambu Lab is needed any longer. They become "yet another" Chinese 3D printer brand with closed source.
kinda sad that the a1 mini didnt get on the list. Ive been using different Creality Printers over the years and recently decided to try a bambulab mini, because i havent had a project too big for this printer. I have to say, it was one of the best decisions ever made. The software is superior. I can slice stuff via the app or in the bambu slicer, send it to my printer and it just prints perfectly. Havent had an experience like that in a long time and pretty stoked about the offer. Dont know if its still on sale, but it was so worth the 200 Bucks for the features and quality you get.
I own the Neptune 3 pro, and the anycubic kobra 2 pro, and the Prusa mk2.5s (upgrade from mk2) I paid $160 for the Neptune 3 pro, and $200 for the kobra 2 pro. When comparing them, the Neptune 3 pro doesn't even come close to the kobra 2 pro. I'll slice the same model and compare print times, a 14 hour print on the Neptune might be 3-5 hours on the kobra instead. If youre shopping in the $200 range the kobra 2 pro is the best on the market imo with its 500mm/s print speed. You'll print at 300mm/s most often though, which is nearly 4x faster than the Neptune 3 pro. It is a bed slinger so keep that in mind, well they both are actually Edit: I disagree with his claim that only bambu can print at high speeds on a bed slinger
In the US the K2 plus combo is 1499usd, that's about 2282aud. But in AUS creality charge 2569("on sale", even though it's the same price it's always been). In the Us the K2 plus is 1299, in AUS you can't buy the K2 plus by it's self.
@@hassosigbjoernson5738 US has import fees, US has shipping and taxes. Australia is far far closer to the location of manufacture, so technically Australia should be a lot cheaper.
Friend, can you please tell me? I don't know what to choose, a bamboo or the K1 max. I have the money for the K1 max but I don't think I'll print such large pieces all the time. So what do you say? Should I choose the K1 max or a bamboo lab if I'm a beginner? or i buy the k2 plus
honestly a little haha. It still works wonders without one, but I do wish I had bought the combo. If you’re thinking about it but hesitant I would say get what you can afford, you can always upgrade later!
Have a K1 Max. Was great until it wasn't. Bed warp...bad. I ended up just slipping teeth on one side and it printed better, but not the way it was when I first got it. All the Bambu P1Ps I have are freaking work horses.
The New Neptune 4 Plus' and Max's are Phenomenal, I've had old (Close to initial Launch) and new (produced past 2-3 months) and the new ones are ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL. Perfect Calibration, Quality, Size Speed, first layer, everything!
My brother gave me his 4 plus to get working is garbage. It's loud the fan stupid it's just not good. If you could send it back I would @@Tactical_max
Thank you for all the hard work you put into your videos. I'm looking for a printer to make high QUALITY prints of cosplay (mostly helmets) but with the LEAST amount of post effort. I'm asking this because I'm disabled and a lot of rigorous sanding and tedious work would be difficult. One big enough for one piece prints with probably PLA+ or another filament if you recommend something better.
So besides the A1 being a bed slinger, what is the real selling points between the A1 P1S/P1P and the X1? Forgive my misunderstanding, I’ve only used ender 3’s
To anyone reading: does the AMS system for the X1 automatically swap rolls when filament runs out? I don't care for multicolor prints. But swapping to a new roll once one runs out would be great.
What do you think about the new FlashForge Adventurer AD5X printer? 4 colors and introductory price was like $349! Its $449 now but still, not a bad deal for a Core XY for under $500.
What do you think of the AnkerMake M5C? For $240, I’m thinking of picking one up. I’m also considering the P1S, just trying to decide if I want to spend the extra cash for my first printer.

I have the Neptune 4 Max. There are some issues but you really just have to with the extruder have it very close to the bed. That is really the only issue I've encountered
Between you and emily (the engi) i bought the a1 when the sale started, just waiting on my filament now to start my infamous ironman suit and finally my proton pack
i legit was watching next layers new vid on his new printers and i thought y frank not uploaded recently so i checked and as i checked like literally as i checked u uploaded this
I have a Voxelab Aquila and a Voxelab Max X2 that I have gotten on Black Friday sales and id recommend them
I hope the K2 plus forces Bambu to make their own large printer faster
It’s just so so so small
We shopped already on White Wednesday it is our tradition to avoid all the mess of the black Friday mobs.
Sunlu also has 5 kg spools that are amazing for workhorses. Only brand I use for my shop
HE'S BACK!!!!!!!! I can depend and trust someone again!
Im really looking at the K2 plus. The price tag is up there compared to other companies though!
I think K2P already offers great value for money, its performance can match the X1E if not better(with bigger size), and beat X1C
What table do you use for 3d printing? By the way keep up the good work, love your videos man
👍🏻👍🏻 Neptune 3 max👍🏻👍🏻
Good I bought the k2 on presale
How do you accomplish that smooth finish of the orange Ironman mask you showed in the video? Please 🙏🏻
Check my other videos
i got the elegoo neptune 3 plus and it is great
BTW, additional CFS units are now on sale at the Creality Store for about $280.00.
video starts at 1:58
Bambulab P1S combo ordered and incoming. Jumping down the rabbit hole...
Frank, the original AMS IS on sale right now at $249. They're normally $349.
You are fine. the K2 plus embargo is over since they have announced the sale of the K2Plus. so you can post whatever you want now.
Not quite. It was an embargo, it was seperate for content creators
I guess I'm lucky with my Neptune 4 Max.
Happy early Thanksgiving
I bought a n4 last BF. It's used as a DIY drybox heater now. ( I have no issue with klipper though)
I own the Neptune 3 pro, and the anycubic kobra 2 pro, and the Prusa mk2.5s (upgrade from mk2)
I paid $160 for the Neptune 3 pro, and $200 for the kobra 2 pro.
It is a bed slinger so keep that in mind, well they both are actually
Edit: I disagree with his claim that only bambu can print at high speeds on a bed slinger
In the US the K2 plus combo is 1499usd, that's about 2282aud. But in AUS creality charge 2569("on sale", even though it's the same price it's always been). In the Us the K2 plus is 1299, in AUS you can't buy the K2 plus by it's self.
Import fee, shipping and taxes?!
@@hassosigbjoernson5738 US has import fees, US has shipping and taxes. Australia is far far closer to the location of manufacture, so technically Australia should be a lot cheaper.
I was about to buy the Neptune 4 Plus, I just changed to the Neptune 3 Plus. thanks for the tip
I'm a beginner, bought a P1S and it's been problem free for around 4 months now. You can't go wrong with a P1S or a X1C if it's within your budget.
Should I go for k1 or k1 max AI one as a first 3d printer the k1 got an even bigger sale and seems to be a better option for my budget.
Finally snagged an AMS for my P1S due to black friday sale. It arrives tuesday and im so excited 🤩🤩
I am thinking about the P1S, did you buys yours without he AMS at first and did you regretted it?
honestly a little haha.
Hope you are right...ordered the 4 plus a few hours ago 😂
My brother gave me his 4 plus to get working is garbage. It's loud the fan stupid it's just not good. If you could send it back I would @@Tactical_max
It’s still way too back and forth of a machine to fight with IMO.
we will most likely just buy the A1 to join our A1 mini and X1C Bambu Ohana.
Size and features
Just got the Bambu P1S combo on sale and it is amazing. Best "Out of the box" experience!
What kind of filament is required for the Bambu a1 3D printer?
To anyone reading: does the AMS system for the X1 automatically swap rolls when filament runs out? I don't care for multicolor prints. But swapping to a new roll once one runs out would be great.
Yep!
Awesome video
A ordered the P1S and the Panda Touch Screen for the P1S, so i can have a screen like the X1C
What do you think about the new FlashForge Adventurer AD5X printer? 4 colors and introductory price was like $349! Its $449 now but still, not a bad deal for a Core XY for under $500.
If I am printing mostly PLA , would u go with the A1. Or something like a P1S . I have a k1max right now
I got to know should i get a Bambu X1 carbon or should i wait for their alleged new flagship model that comes out in Q1 next year?
What do you think of the AnkerMake M5C? For $240, I’m thinking of picking one up. I’m also considering the P1S, just trying to decide if I want to spend the extra cash for my first printer.
It’s not great. At all. Save for the A1
