Lovely town I had lived there for 6 years 1994-2000. My favourite place is Nelson's public library which seems to have disappeared from walking video on TH-cam. 🥺
I used to go to a chat room called Free Love where there were a couple gals from Nelson we'd chat with. Hello, Blondie (Karen) and Sweetie, from the USA. LoL This city looks like it could be any town USA. Love it! Thank you for taking us along. Love from America.
Good art galleries, cafes.. nice beaches nearby. Plenty of parks, annual kite festival.. home of the Wearable Art Awards. Crowds and traffic aren't excessive. Local vinyards and breweries, Jazz festival, buskers.. has a bit of a hippy vibe.
The streets look clean; and I’ll assume that there isn’t any criminals wondering around on the streets of downtown areas of Nelson; and no homeless people crapping ; or urinating in public like in Californian cities.
I was born and raised in Nelson. Never saw a homeless person/beggar until about 2008, though I'd seen them (and prostitutes) before on the streets of Christchurch. I guess it's just something you start to see when the population gets large enough. There is some crime and violence, but you can avoid 99% of it if you don't hang around the club area (or McDonalds) after 8pm on weekends.
This is gold and needs to be done every 6 or so months to capture a time line into the future. We need to establish a Nelson video vault!
So beautiful content, thank you for sharing. Keep it up!
Beautiful walking tour! It’s so nice to see other parts of the world. Perfect weather. Thanks for sharing buddy 👍😄
Beautiful.
Thank you for this!🙂

There are homeless people here, crackheads, etc etc, it just really depends on the time of day that you explore the city.
Liberal paradise
