Excellent point, Jessica! I have "secret stashes" of medication in all our cars, just in case i forget to bring some for church, running errands, visiting friends, etc. I also bring at least two weeks of extras in my carry-on bag when we travel abroad. This can help hold me in the event of return flight cancellations, Covid quarantines, loss of pills (I have dropped my mini zip lock bag containing a day or a week supply when I pulled out my eallet), etc.

    Life's spice. Thanks for sharing.
I always take a month supply. Once bitten twice shy.

Been worried about this lately as I'm planning my 1st international trip and definitely don't want to run into this if possible, especially in another country. Glad you were able to get your meds, I struggle without mine.

Thus happened to me last year. Walked out of house without my bottle. I’m in north Florida and was headed to Miami. Realized 1/2 way that I didn’t have them. Contacted my pharmacy and explained situation. They sent a supply to a pharmacy located by our hotel.

this has also happened to me, we live in Pennsylvania and we have a second home in New Mexico, where my son lives. back in 2020 we went out for a visit and were originally going to spend a month visiting when Covid hit and the airlines weren't flying... it turned into a four month stay. the first thing I did when the quarantine started was get to the nearest CVS and have them talk to my doctor and have all prescriptions re-routed to New Mexico. I also keep extra doses in our cars, and my purse at all times. if there is an extra space not being used in my pill case I fill it with extra doses. a day without my meds is a day wasted.

My neurologist increased my CD/LD dose but refused to change my prescription to account for this. I would have run out a week before the prescription could be refilled. Needless to say, I didn’t increase my dose and I’m looking for a new neurologist.

Here's a question. When I contact my doctor through mychart, it states that 'expect a reply back within 2 - 3 business days'. Answering my own question, I guess that you phone the office and tell them it is an emergent situation. Thank you for your advice and podcast.

Hope you and the kids enjoyed Florida. If you’re ever in the 305 let me know. I will roll out red carpet. By any chance were you at the MJF event this last weekend?

Always call your doctor BEFORE you go away. He will give you more pills in advance.

I had the pills at home, just didn’t bring enough. Good idea though!

Call around and find a store that sells DOPA Mucuna. Problem solved.
