@cteno The coyote at minimum thinks of the badger as a friend, given that play-bow, which canines do to indicate friendliness and a desire for play. And the badger is following the coyote at a sedate pace, so he certainly doesn’t regard the coyote as a threat, something to defend against or chase off. Seems pretty friendly to me.
It's actually a form of mutualism. These two species will sometimes help each other hunt, since they both cover unique traits. (Coyotes are fast runners, and Badgers can enter tight spaces). It helps ensure both aren't stumped in a hunt.
@@fork8815 I don't have time to write here in detail the extraordinary experience of watching many many hundreds (thousands as more joined bit by bit from across the Serengetti) of zebra and wildebeest (in two perfectly straight parallel patient lines stretching off in to the distance ...) working together to avoid/protect from a large pride of lions waiting on the other side of a road they were to cross as part of the great migration - the level of inter-species communication still boggles my mind. It was humbling and beautiful. Young wildebeest bucks putting themselves between the lions and the group - who we realised were ALL waiting for one tiny new born zebra foal to get strong enough in the leg to keep up with group - They were all waiting for her... Mind blowing. - Who knows what else they get up to when no bothersome humans are about ¿ :-]
Thanks for your great work at protecting wildlife, and building life saving structures for them. This educational video should be shown in schools to promote better understanding of other species, and of their mutually beneficial cooperation. The coyote looks especially keen on the badger's friendship.
I have a few little critters I feed daily! A wood pecker, red cardinal, blue jay, crow & Squirrel .. at first you could tell they were all skeptical of each other - they'd take turns eating but it's amazing to see them all eat & play together noww.
Now, add a (good) microphone to those cameras, so that we can have the sound. I do think it would have scientific value, especially with IA allowing us to treat large amounts of data.
Mmm… yeah this video just showed you that’s not true. Animals are way more complex than we give them credit for sir. Who says they can’t be friends with other species? There’s no rule against that. We just assume animals aren’t capable of that. Animals feel love, empathy and so on.
Yeah, its adorable, but do you know fur is come from those cute, amazing creatures, so pls reject any fur products, because they deserves free, not belong to humans. 🙏
The coyote is so excited to hunt with his friend
Sure is. He's like "you ready? c'mon, follow me!"
@@elonmust7470 I feel just the same thing as you.

This feels like the premise to a Disney movie
Fox and the Hound vibes
Call it "Coy and the Badge"
They are like good friends walking towards the sunset
I love how happy the coyote is 😍 it legitimately does a play jump and wiggles it's butt and tail. It's so cute I could cry 😭
This is a perfect reminder that animals have best friends too
This makes me cry every time I see it.
Coyote: come on dad, Hurry up to the icecream shop.
Badger: don't Hurry up me, the icecream shop is not going anywhere.
🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
That waddle is cuuute
the happy little hops just kill me!
The Badger is like:
“yeah yeah!! Im coming already! Dont be rushing me!
Cayote: “ACUNA MATATA!!
badger 🦡 “MY LEGS ARE SHORT IM COMING HOLD ON “!!
Coyote “No Rush , OUR ADVENTURE AWAITS “!
Just some doggoforms playing co-op together.
You could see their personalities
Thanks for making my evening.
.
Right! Coolest friendship ever
This coyote badger thing seems quite a unique situation especially among carnivore mammals

There’s probably a lot more relationships like this in the animal kingdom that go unnoticed

I just love this video. Makes me smile every time I see it!
Right there with you. 🙂
Me too.
They remind me of the friendship between my dog and cat. My dog has always loved cats and is very respectful of them.
Je l'ai regardé encore une fois et toujours avec plaisir
They just look like they are going to embark on a great adventure.
Different species getting along. No hate, violence or racism there.❤
That is the coolest thing ever
Into the journey, they go
It's like a Disney movie.
They’re off on an adventure!
I've seen woodpeckers (northern flicker) and squirrels together a couple of times but can't find anyone else who has noticed.

Animal lover at heart must say that this is pure unity. Animals are ahead of Human.
Adorable. Hunting buddies!
This is so cute.
Somebody's got to make a cartoon out of the scene
Both of them saw Crows, Ravens and wolves working together and said "F**K it we can do better!"
Come on Stumpy, let's go break into that chicken coup we found last night
A beautiful moment❤❤
This is the plot of a disney movie.
BEST friends.
Those moments when you set off that polymorph trap but Your pal wants to search the dungeon for treasure anyway.

Coyote doesn't speak, only holds up signs. So no need for sound.
George and Lenny
We wan't to adopt them both
Think of it this way:
I wouldn't wander into a cave with someone im not comfortable with, especially if theyre taller and faster than me
😊
It's a safe bet that's not a honey badger, which would have run the coyote off.
honey badgers are from africa

if you think a coyote can take down a badger easily, you are badly mistaken
I hope the badger is a badass and can protect itself
Coyotees can't kill badgers.they are very strong and have powerful bite force compared to coyotees.
@The mammal thanks for the info i didnot know that
coyote and Badger are vitrolic best Bud in this case. while they do hate each other's guts, their success hunting rate increased when together
