      Hey Kristina,
      I can't find the instructions for this particular model however I did find some that are almost identical from the same company (minus the added tider toder). Just tell the buyer to skip the tider toder parts and they should be ok.

    I wanted to ask, do you recommend that we buy separate anchors that are more secure, or do those ones do the job quite well?

    • @bobsoddjobs
      @bobsoddjobs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey Awkward Mom,
      Sorry for the late reply I don't know how I missed this..
      The anchors seem to be working quite well. There are more secure anchors out there. Look up trampoline anchors and you'll find more secure anchors.
      Hope that helps :)

    Did you have to drill holes in the side for the slide to attach to? The side bar where ours attach does not have the holes.

    • @bobsoddjobs
      @bobsoddjobs  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey Josh,
      I didn't need to do any drilling. Hopefully you can finagle something to get the side attached

    I noticed you switched sides of the slide. Is that why you had to redo the slide frame because you put it on backwards? I guess the slide only goes on one side. I’m in the middle of doing a swing set and I have mine set up like you did in the beginning. I reckon I’m going to have to switch sides 😅

      Hey Chrissy
      I'm so glad it helped you. Ya when I first installed the stairs they were loose then I realized that little divot needed to be on the other side. They seem pretty good now, only slightly loose :)

    We have soft ground,it says we should put concrete in legs for soft ground.
    Or anchors work good?

    • @bobsoddjobs
      @bobsoddjobs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Simerjeet,
      The anchors work really well for us. I can imagine with the soft ground that the swing set will probably start to sink into the ground over time..
      If you were to sit each leg on a small concrete paver or patio stone this would likely stop it from sinking in the ground and you can still use the anchors. The stone or concrete paver only needs to be a bit wider than the width of the legs. That way the anchors will still have room to be pounded into the ground. If you use larger concrete pavers you could fasten each leg to the concrete with concrete screws.
      Here's what you could do.
      1) build the swing set
      2) put the swing set in the location you're planning
      3) Mark where each leg will sit
      4) Move the swing set away and dig small holes where the legs of the swing set will sit
      5) Place the small concrete or paver stone in each hole. Try to make it so the stone is even height with the ground.
      6) Move the swing set back and add the anchors.
      6a) Alternatively you could use concrete screws and fasten the legs of the swing set directly into the concrete paver. You would need to pre-drill holes with a concrete bit.
      I hope this helps :)

    Can the swings be raised for taller children?

    • @bobsoddjobs
      @bobsoddjobs  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hey Cass,
      The chains are pre determined lengths with eye bolts attached at each end they also have a plastic coating on them.
      If you wanted to shorten the chain I'm sure it could be done with modification. You would have to open the eye bolt at the end with brute force. You could try two pairs of vice grip pliers and bend it open. Then cut some of the plastic off the chain and hook it on to the eye bolt at the length you want. There will be some extra chain hanging but I'm sure it won't be enough to get in the way. Then bend the eye bolt closed so the chain won't slip out of it.
      I hope that helps you. It's not the prettiest way of doing it but it should suffice.
      Take Care :)

      Hey Ronald McGill,
      I feel you brother.. Some the things we buy have so much packaging and are put inside like a puzzle. I think they do it on purpose too.
      I say just wrap it all up as best you can. Even if it's bulging at the seems just tape it together and send it back.
      Good luck :)
