I can’t believe Lidia Sobieska from the TEKKEN 7 game series is finally returning to the TEKKEN 8 fighting game series for the Summer Break events and stuff than before!
This is my opinion, so please don't be offended, but Lidia is the most natural, normal female character in this game and even in the current Tekken series. Her character model is superbly designed visually, from her clothing to her personality traits. The person who handled its design at Namco Bandai did a great job. Unless they outsourced it to a third-party company. And if you look at the other characters, they are more or less very unevenly designed, where one element doesn't fit with another, disrupting the structure of the whole character. This gives the impression that a character is highly exaggerated, unnatural and even annoying. It takes away some of the seriousness of Tekken's story and overall gameplay. I know there are people who think the same way I do. There are people on TH-cam who have come to the same conclusion. The way you present your character in the game determines how it will be perceived. Many characters have suffered because of this. The same thing could happen to Lidia. For now, she is such a natural person that one would like to go on a date with her or practice karate. That's why I'm not surprised that many players liked or identified with her so much. When I look at Lili, for example, I get the impression of an exaggerated character, as if I were dealing with someone mentally unbalanced. And in Lidia's case, we have a perfect synchronicity between her Polishness and traditional Japanese martial arts. In fact, from the very beginning, when I started to be interested in Japanese culture, I noticed a lot of commonalities between the two countries, where honor, respect and tradition have their roots in both cultures, so I'm not surprised that Lidia's character came out so well. So her nationality has nothing to do with my assessment of this character. Especially because at first I felt a little embarrassed by this character, but if you play their games, watch their movies or anime, read the manga, etc., you will just understand the specific character of the Japanese. For now, the only characters I can compare with her in terms of design are Jin, Reina, Jun, Kazuya. Some people think that Leroy is a brilliantly created character, but looking at his design I can't agree, he is also a heavily exaggerated character. Anyway, so far Lidia seems to be a really cool character, full of discipline and respect, and at the same time, when the situation demands it, she turns into a tough guy who can stand up for others. A real fighter, not some mentally unbalanced Barbie doll. So I'm glad that this was included in the game, as it has reignited my interest in this series of games, for which I have a great deal of fondness. PS. If you don't have anything smart to say then don't write me to calm down or something like that, just teach what the comments function on youtube is, because I don't think you understand what it's for. He boasts too much during Tekken 7 because of Akuma and how the sales went up because of the character. but what really happened is, Ono from Capcom saved him by allowing Akuma to be a guest character and he also helped Harada to gain connections with other companies like Square and SNK. Ono did that because Namco went on a financial crisis because of Tekken Tag 2 which did not sell well. Now that Ono left Capcom, it will be impossible for Harada to get any guest characters LOL

Tekken 8 is and will make them more money than Tekken 7 ever did, thus making (iconic) guest characters even more likely, since a tight budget is most likely what limits the options when it comes to guest characters.
